Life is Never Easy, Even When You're Doing Well

Chairman, Trump University

I talked about this earlier in the week on my daily radio show, but I have more to say. Someone just wrote a book about me. It's the biggest pile of garbage I've ever seen, written by a highly questionable and, some people say, disgraced reporter named Tim O'Brien.

I looked up O'Brien on the Internet and found stories comparing him to Jayson Blair. Blair was The New York Times' infamous reporter, who was fired in shame after he was found guilty of fabricating stories, sources, and quotes.

Jayson Blair almost took down The New York Times, and now the paper might be taken down by Judith Miller, who's just as bad as Jayson Blair. If you're reading other newspapers, Miller is the Times' reporter who went to jail for refusing to reveal her sources, but is now part of a sordid mess that is still being sorted out, which involves the White House, the CIA, and The New York Times.

The fact is The New York Times is going to hell. They published a major story about me on Sunday that they knew was wrong. On Sunday morning, right after the paper came out, my lawyer got a call from a lawyer at The New York Times asking if we wanted to correct the story. He didn't even wait until Monday, probably because he figured the lawsuits would be filed by then. The paper's editors knew the story was wrong, but they wanted to try and sell newspapers.

The New York Times was once a great newspaper, but it's not worth the paper it's printed on anymore. Changes have to be made. The New York Times is now reeling from so many huge mistakes by reporters and management that people are saying it's one of the worst newspapers in America.

There really has to be a shakeup at The Times, and I hope it happens soon. Too many people rely on it for factual information.

By the way, to the lawyer who called my lawyers on Sunday morning: Don't worry, we'll get back to you.

Donald J. Trump is Chairman of Trump University.

Looks like a good target for acquisition!
Perhaps another "property" for the Trump organization? :-)

Dear Mr. Trump,

When I first read the New York times article, I was shocked and dismayed as to how *low* they were willing to go to publish such an inaccurate, and blantatly false story. It really makes me wonder why they still haven't leaned their lesson. I believe the only sure way they will, is to HIT them HARD. HIT them HARD with a MIGHTY PUNCH. I've lost every respect for them. They managed to illegally corrupt/defame Mr. Trump's name, and Mr. Trump's brand.

All the best,

-Nektarios

To steve wells,

The Donald doesn't need any more garbage in his portfolio.

To The Donald,
Great job on those firing over at the apprentice. If it was me I would have fired the whole team.

Mr. Trump,

I once told you, the fear of rejection makes men to compromise. Do not. Just be the best you can ever be. In the mega world, you are known as the megastar.

People may come up with opinions on what you should do to the TIMES. Fine, that's their opinion. But, what is your opinion? What ever you come up with, remember, is that the best you can do? You are too smart for them. Let it go. FORGIVENESS IS A VIRTUE. Loyalty is an asset.

Your passion and intellect in many cases turn me into a thoughtful stupor. You are better than what you can ever imagine. Don't allow what people publish or say about you to bother you in any case. It could be some purposeful instinct on their perspective.

Whatever they may have published wrongly about you, just let it go. You are to great for their understanding. Do not tarnish your image my suing them or retaliation. You can make it through the rain. You can stand up once again. You have stoop up along time. Don't give in.

All the best my Megastar! If you need my admonishment, always call on me. I'll be there. Thank you.

Beauty or ugliness lies in the perceptor not in *object*.Mr.O"Brien wrote a book about HIMSELF,not about You.If You understand this illusion, You will see behind the mirror. This is a big test for You, and I now You will pass:-)Love and light.

Shadow persist if we feed her with anger or fear, if we fight *against* it,she is stronger. If we only see light, behind the mirror , she will disappear:-) Be silent a little bit, and You will SEE the illusion:-)Love and light.

The media sucks up here in Canada too.
It has become a toy for little rich men with no cahhonnas, who like stay on the sideline, and dare not enter the real combat zone, where change is happening.

Judith Miller is a hero. Her steadfast refusal to reveal a confidential source, even braving jail time for her dedication to protecting the basic civil liberties (i.e. right to privacy) of her source speak volumes about her character.

The NY Times is one of, if not the most prestigous paper in the United States. They're the most informative, fair, and interesting newspaper anyone can read. It's rather unfair to tar the entire newspaper with the same brush you used to condemn one writer.

Exchanging good journalism to tellers of fairytales is a cheap way to sell newspapers. And cheap things doesn't last very long.

Very interesting to see an uncensored view of the New York Times. It's a shame what's going on there. Well I hope they won't write anymore lies about you Mr. Trump, it's not fair.

Best regards

The NY Times has made a habit of publishing hatchet jobs of individuals they are just plain jealous of. The attack on Donald Trump is uncalled for, fallacious, and malicious. The NY Times should be ashamed of itself for what it has become.

There are very few people who have the influence and the power to fight back against the wrong doings of the media. Donald Trump does and can! Mr. Trump I am glad you are fighting back. It will not only be for you but for all of those people who have not been able to.
[-] Posted by Alexander Orok on 10/31/2005 12:19 PM
Mr. Trump,

You are pretty much correct on the issue that Life is Never Easy, Even When You're Doing Well.

I would suggest that you do not take the initiatives of suing them or making it a good target for property acquisition! Remember the principle of Karma. Go

Let's be honest.. unfortunately in a world filled of corruption the NY TIMES has one thing on it's mind.. If it bleeds it leads.. You can't sell daisies and sunshine & at any cost they will print anything no matter true or false.. so sad.. used to be that the newspaper was for news and was a tool for all, now it just makes them look trashy. They might as well just change the name to NY Weekly.

Reporters in America Report about Bad News, more Bad News, and so forth. I think it is not only damaging to society as a whole, but people from outside of America look at us like we are crazy. That is why I watch CSPAN and PBS, they have more truth that CNN or NY TIMES.
[-] Posted by Charles McGill on 11/01/2005 12:49 PM
Bad news. The good news is, that not many actually believe the bad news in press anyway!

Not sure why they think anybody wants to read bad news, they'd have to be sick in the head.

Any publicity however bad, also makes you even more well known. Now all you have to do is find the best way to turn the negative publicity into positive publicity.

Winning a court case and making the paper give the damages to charity would be good but this may also damage others in the process.

It's easy to say rise above it but what you need is a way to capitalise on it and fix it without hurting anyone for hurting you.

Something sensational, that their competitors and other media would report on would do the trick. Your in an outstanding position to do something positive to show them, how wrong they are about you.

Work out the cost in time you'd spend on a court case even when you'd win, and invest this in doing more good and letting everybody know why your doing it.

Donald....Get a piece of the Times as your very own. It is not just the NYT thats gone to S#*T all the media sources are now questionable; they have seen that yellow journalism pays the cost of paper, ink and their other expensive habits. They now really believe the new slogan that $$All the News thet fits we print$$

As long as there are puppies and parrot cages, there will always be a need for the NY Times...

Us Canadians feel for ya Donald! We still have good clean news reporting here,

We are all searching for TRUTH and desire to find truth. This is why Oprah is so successful. Maybe it's time to start Trump Times!
[-] Posted by Lucy Socha on 11/04/2005 7:11 PM
The New York Times, is still a great newspaper. Unfortunately, for you Miller is an opportunist. Fortunately, for you you have a great legal team. The reality in newspaper reporting these days is the pressure to push stories and, seems many times, to parallel views of their dominating corporate owners who many times attempt to slant public view. It's been my observation Mr. Trump many people are tired of all your law suits. Not me, this is just an observation. Hint: when one gets as big as you are, people wonder if one still has their sense of humor. Sometimes it does appear that like the queen in "Alice in Wonderland", one in power allows it to go to one's head and it's "off with their heads!" Or, pay the piper as is the most preferred method through our judicial system.--Lucy Socha

Chairman Donald Trump, I have always found it interesting and irritating that the more successful a person gets the more they become part of the public domain. It's as if successful people are punished because they are successful. People can write lies about you. Your privacy is infringed upon

Let us play with our mind for a second:If man has a bear and he doesnt like his reflection in the mirror ,would he shave his reflection ; on the mirror???Is that going to provoke a new *reality* appearence?Ever?
There is only ONE of us all.One Moon in millions of lakes reflecting, but it is only REFLECTION OF ONE.Some lake is clean ,some is covered with grass.Remove your grass, AND SHINE!

Mr. Trump, Life would not be easy for you, especially you, because of your standing in the world. Every one wants gabbage on you, so give them any gabbage then they won't print it!!!! Good Luck. Least here in Australia "The Sydney Morning Herald" Clarify there information!!!!
[-] Posted by Carlito U. on 11/14/2005 1:47 PM
Mr. Trump, Why don't you purchase the New York Times so you can fire a bunch of the problem employees apprentice style? Maybe you could turn the whole thing into another hit reality tv show.
[-] Posted by Jonathan Gunson on 11/30/2005 5:08 PM
Why on earth is anyone listing to what the NYT has to say?

I should not worry in the slightest about juvenile words in the "Times" my dear Mr Trump.

No matter what the "Times" says there is nothing they can do to you in the end. They will fail.

Here is why:

In the end the words of someone who has found their voice and their true calling is listened to with unbreakable belief
[-] Posted by Randall McKeown on 12/11/2005 1:14 PM
The Newspaper is a risk business and especially in a market like New York City. The "Times" the "Post" they are all out trying to sell papers. The media will report their truth, what ever the people want to hear. It is like that in business, if you can create a buzz about lets say coffee, you have a high yeild of coffee and are afraid that you are going to loose crop, then you report that there is a severe shortage. People love coffee, especially here in the Greater Toronto Area. People will buy up whatever they can get there hands on, the stores sell out, then they create a demand to have their shelves filled and the coffee growers move out there over stock and everyone is happy.
Newspapers will talk trash to sell, in todays world Newspapers are no longer reporting news,
