Trump for Governor?

Chairman, Trump University

You've all probably read the publicity recently about Senator Joe Bruno asking me to run for governor of the great state of New York. I've known Joe Bruno for a long time. He's a great senator and he has done a terrific job. He's also a very strong party leader so I was honored when he asked me to run in the gubernatorial race.

The problem is that I really enjoy doing what I'm doing right now. I've gotThe Apprentice, one of the hottest shows on television. I'm the biggest developer in New York City, and I'm building things all over the country in wonderful cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and other places.

I've always told people that to be successful you have to enjoy what you're doing and right now I really enjoy what I'm doing. I'm having too much fun with my life. Why would I want to do something else? Why would I want to run for governor?

I told Joe Bruno, "No." I told the newspapers, "No." They don't stop asking, which is very flattering, but believe me, I won't be running for governor. I have absolutely no interest in running for office at this time. I've got too many other fun things to do.

Donald J. Trump is Chairman of Trump University.

I belive you would be an excellent governor. But, I wouldn't think it would be in the best interest of your company nor the state. It would require spliting your time in some manner and ultimately someone would get the short end of the stick. And why change if you are having so much fun?

Great!

This is exactly how I feel about what I am doing! - and at the same time the whole idea may present itself to you from a different perspective at a later point in time in which case you just may add it to your list of projects that you like to do.

All the best to you in all that you do!

thank you!

The ability to say NO to protect what you love is an act that will deliver abundance.

Glad to see you sticking to your passion Mr. Trump.

Don,

In June of 2002, Bob Schulz publicly declared he has forever stopped paying income taxes or filing income tax returns, based solely on the content of the Truth-in-Taxation hearing and the government's refusal to answer the well documented legal charges that there is
NO legal or constitutional basis for the federal income tax.

What is your opinion of the IRS and the federal income tax in light of the research that Bob Schulz has done?

Mr. Trump should run for NY governor, simply because he is hard-working and dedicated to making the necessary changes.

Governor Trump's good, but President Trump's better.

I've read the Esquire interview article where he thinks the Iraqi war was a bad idea (a la Cindy Sheehan). And he says that,

In a way I do agree with the idea of enjoying one's work. But Mr. Trump did you ever knew before making your first builing that it would be an enjoyable experience ? I don't think you knew that for sure. You gave it a shot and you found it to be full of fun. Why not give a shot to a different experience ? Who knows you may start enjoying the work and in the process provide something in return to the NY society. Give it a shot man ! Get out of your couch.

D. Trump,

Na wa o! Sha! Notin dey happen!

Great men often know that there's no limit to what they can arhieve if the desire and true passion is there. You have a flea for what you believe and have tasted. Go ahead Bro. Be the man.

In my closet, I wonder base on the fact that the knowledge of who I am makes me to be afraid of my potentials. I think as you being a great man, it thus apply to you too. Keep your faith alive man. Blessed is the man who keeps his faith.

Finally, I've always love this Poem: I LOVE THE WORD IMPOSSIBLE!

Peope may have opinions base on how successful you are. But believe me...You have the final say except otherwise.

I Love The Word Impossible

It's like joy after sorrow.
People being friends after being enemies
Rainbows after drenching rain.
A wound healed
Sunsets on quiet evenings after
Hot noisy days.
Paralyzed, injured limbs learning to grow
Strong and useful again.
Forgiveness after wrong
Truth after fog.
New love-made babies.
Birds learning to fly and own the sky
Bitterness turned to mellowness
Fresh, genuine hope .. once abandoned
People finding each other at right moments
In unexpected, obscure places ..
For Go-ordained reasons.
I love the word impossible because my God believes
In adventure
And extraordinary mountains
And he dares to be alive in a world
Crawling with terrible situations
He promises to be bigger than any impossibility
Because He is love ..
And love always finds a way through, in time.

God's Blessings to you Trump. Keep the faith and hope alive.

Amazing stuff you're doing. Reading your book, I can see your frustration with city officials over the ice skating rink ... multiple that times 20 if you go into office and have to deal with government bureacracy. Agree with you, it's a great idea to stay in the private sector, that's where the fun and profit is. Leave government to the incompetents who dwell there and can't make it in private industry. For industry leaders (like yourself), it's much better to see all that you can accomplish unfettered

Sounds like they just need to find a way of showing you how much more fun you could have as Govenor.

Could a Govenor become a President who just wants to have fun and if so can you imagine how much fun that would mean for the rest?

Sounds like more fun to me.

Mr. Trump,

I'm a resident of Colorado, but I must say that IF you chose to run for NY Governor or any other political position, I think you would certainly be a tremendous asset in the world of politics. Frankly, it is my opinion New York would be gaining, and possibly, just possibly, you might use that as a step toward eventual candidacy for US President...from which we could all benefit. Even as New York governor, I think you'd probably set an example for other states...and there'd always be that chance you'd eventually look toward the White House.

America needs a leader for its President, and you, most certainly are a leader. I respect your high intellect, creativity, and integrity. Likewise, I understand your reluctance to enter the world of politics (especially when you have so many challenging and interesting projects going now). But should you ever choose to enter the political arena, I would support your aiming for the Presidency...as I believe you would be one of the best presidents our nation would ever have had. I believe your leadership could make this country great again...and rescue it from the path it is now on. I believe economically, socially, and in the international community we could again excel if only we had a true leader...and Mr. Trump, there are very few with the qualities needed...you are such a man.

I respect your decisions as an individual who chooses what path is best for yourself...but had to express my appreciation for who you are and what I feel you could do for America if you ever enter politics...whatever level you might involve yourself, I think you would make a significant positive change for good.

Best wishes,

Christine Smith

This is what I figured. I saw Trump on CNBC's Big Idea and he never seemed to be much of a politician. I think Trump would make a great mayor/governor/pres because he seems independent, level headed, smart. Not partisian or crazed as some political leaders nowadays. Governor Spitzer will do a great job for NY though.

The Vision - An Opportunity -

Do we have the power to really change the world like Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie or John D. Rockefeller and our very own Bill Gate's.

Can we create an enormous number of products, services and living quarters such that they all qualify as higher quality than has ever so far been seen, are available for a lower price than any of these have previously been available and at the same time while paying the working artisans of the entire world more than they have ever been paid for doing such work while also creating a system where

I think Mr. Trump should reconsider. He would make a great Governor. New York needs a strong leader.. and he is Mr. New York .. besides Melania would make a beautiful first lady. You could make a real difference Mr. Trump .. reconsider please.

Well Mr.Trump I would believe you would make a great governor. I am a New Yorker myself and I could think of no one better for this then you. Besides you are a leader, great communicator and have a vast knowlege in development. Why governor....I think president would be better. I believe alot of people would vote for you, you are number one, and that,I believe, is what it takes. You got my vote.

I have always respected Donald Trump as someone who follows his passions. After meeting with him and his team in New York I really gained clarity on just how passionate Mr. Trump is about Real Estate Development and The Apprentice. In our Trump University audio product Start Right! How to Launch a Great Career my co-author and I use Donald Trump as a prime example as someone who has reached tremendous success as a result of following his passions.

It is no surprise at all that Mr. Trump has turned down this opportunity despite how exciting it may appear--it is not inline with his passions and pursuing your passions is the more important thing you can do.

Over the years, I came to respect Mr. Trump for his genius and for his ability to recover from so many personal and professional hurdles. He somehow managed to recover well and keep his focus on his mission and his professional goals, regardless of the harsh public criticisms and the cruel, unfair media scrutiny all working to "turn the tide" on him (sorry for the cliches). I never saw the man sweat anything and if he went alone and cried, on his own, in his room at night, I applaude him for having released his energy privately and keeping the strong demeanor that he always kept. I learned from this great man, that "when the going gets tough, that is when Mr. Trump really gets going". And I value his living example tremendously. His were not examples that you just read about in a book. I saw them and my feet still tread upon what those great examples gave birth to, when I walk through this city. I never thought that I would ever come to feel this deep respect for Mr. Trump, but I am proud to say that I truly do. I believe that it may be because we have all seen him buy, sell, develop and fight for what he wants and we have seen his successes unfold right before our eyes, especially me as New Yorker, I felt lucky to have walked right passed many of his construction sites and have had a small taste of his success up close and personal

Personally, I feel that Mr. Trump would have been a great candidate for being the governor of New York. Both of the task requires decision making and I must say Mr. Trump you are great at that! Recently in Canada, the former CEO of Magna International Belinda Stronach joined politics & she is doing great! I feel that the business experience comes handy while becoming a politician. Anyways, best of luck with all of your future endeavours.

I have spoken to many republican friends who all agree that Mr. Trump would make a great governor. With his star status, knack for business, and ability to charm people, he would be able to motivate companies to invest in New York and create jobs. He is the perfect candidate to prevent Eliot Spitzer or Tom Suozzi from becoming governor. Everyone I have spoken to also agrees that it would be even better if Mr. Trump would run on a power ticket with former NYC Mayor Rudy Guliani running for Senator against Sen. Clinton. This would be an unbeatable ticket that would be good for New York and also help to eliminate madam Hillary from being a presidential candidate in 2008. So, Mr. Trump I implore you to reconsider. I know that you are enjoying what you are currently doing, but the people of New York need you to be our next governor.

Hi, I'm from Sydney and I've had the pleasure to travel to the Big City back in 2002 and also visit the Trump Buildings in Wall Street and 5th Avenue Midtown. I am not familiar with Senator Joe Bruno but many Aussies know Mr Trump from his hit show The Apprentice.

Anyway, of course Mr Donald "The Don" Trump would do great as a Governor of NY State. I respect your decision. It's all about focus. Trump likes to focus on his projects because, one, they are fun and secondly with focus comes success. Being in politics isn't the big goal for Trump. Trump likes showmanship. Just look at his TV show and his grand buildings.
