You always hear about how looking at photos of gorgeous models isharmful to average-looking women. Some people say it's bad for women's body image and can lead to eating disorders and emotional issues.

Now, some researchers are saying don't forget about men. When normal-looking guys see photos of male models with chiseled muscles and washboard abs, it hurts their self-esteem too. And those negative feelings can hurt a man's sexual well-being.

But researchers say there is a bright side. If average men look at all those lean, muscular guys maybe it will inspire them to get in shape. Unlike female actresses and models, most of the men who are on the covers of magazines have healthy and realistic bodies. Look at George Clooney, Tom Cruise and Matt Damon, they point out.

Personally, I think this is a bunch of garbage. Men don't care about that kind of stuff. Besides, they're not looking at the male models. They're looking at the women.

And I've never had the biggest muscles but I've always had the best-looking women. I guess there's only one muscle that really counts . . . your brain.

I would have to say that there is another muscle that really COUNTS,.. but we wont go there. Other than the average looking man,.. I would have to say that most women know their role and they play it to the max, Models are good to look at and pin up on your wall,.. they are everyone's inspiration, but being who you are is where it's at!!! I am no model but I would have to say that I get what I want when it comes to pretty much anything. Trump you definitely get the girl when it comes to looks I give you credit for your Skillz! Play on Playa' Me on the other hand I am for the CHAMP powered

Actually, I think it has more to do with the size of your wallet. Given your same abilities MINUS the billions, you think you would still move in the same circles or attract the same women? No way.

Maybe all these magazines should have a "Surgeons General Warning on them to alert these weak women that looking at these types of images could be harmful to their health?? This is an absolute ridiculous waste of research… it truly blows my mind.

However, with respect to average men, I cannot fully comment, but being a lucky good looking business minded alpha male with an appetite for women, I must admit that while reading Men's Health and GQ I do look at the physiques of the male models. Why? Because I find it extremely positive imagery that actually gives me that valuable extra motivation in the gym and has definitely proven to be helpful attaining my physique.

One can definitely validate my theory, through polling other successful alpha's looking for that extra edge over others, how powerful image type motivation can be useful when working out (just like having a bunch of supermodels working out in the gym). Not only will you attain a solid desired body and notable increased confidence, you will most importantly help develop and supercharge that muscle you refer to as your brain! Once you do that, nobody can stop you!

I plan on being on the cover of Men's Health (as soon as one of my .com projects explode into mainstream), so keep your eyes peeled!

Cheers,

I laughed out loud reading this post Donald. Thank you, this is a refreshing look at how models affect our culture. Although I would disagree with the studies that having the coverboy body as a goal as being a healthy choice. Not always is the route that a young man would take to acheive such a goal a healthy one; it could be riddled with purging or drugs.

with that aside, i did still laugh out loud.

Does your wife read your blogs as well in knowing that you have always had the best looking women? Or it was out of the scope of her management on nature of men's behaviors. Anyway there is not any affect for me whatever male models look like when most of the time I would focus on female models with or without the fashionable clothes, and am disgusted

I believe I have the same high taste with Donald Trump. He likes woman with taste. I like a man with good brain! Not cheeky and NO BALD at all! Because most bald men think he is a sexy man, in fact, he is TOO SEXY TO ME!!! If you cannot find a person to assist you to expand your business to Indonesia, I think you and your wife may come to see me in Indonesia then we discuss together with my team, what do you think, Donald?

I'm writing in response to William D. Harding, Jr., who said, "Given your same abilities MINUS the billions, you think you would still move in the same circles or attract the same women? No way."

I may not have my facts totally straight, but if I recall correctly, Donald's current wife was with him years ago while he was over 5 billion dollars in debt. So given the same abilities MINUS the billions... and then some... we know at least one woman would be loyal to him.

With regards to the blog, if you let jealousy for someone else's appearance affect your personal life, you're probably going to have a hard time being successful in business. And if you care that much what others think of you, then you will never have the guts to go out on your own against others' "advice" and make an investment that will pay off big like some of the investments Donald made.

And how much did you spend on the suit you were wearing when you wrote this blog??? $1000+ perhaps? What was that you were saying about how you don't care about your appearance? FYI: Men develop eating disorders, too, Donald.

And why do men care about how they look? Because the best looking guys get the most women- DUH!

You know what Mr.Trump that is what I loved about the Apprentice, you didn't cut the women slack and even chewed on them when they relied on their sexuality to win. Beauty fades but with brains when age sets in you'll be wealthy and comfortable.
[-] Posted by Samantha on 11/22/2006 11:39 AM
This is all debatable, for it depends on the circle you role with..and how much their opinions matter to you. I think the ingredients one needs are confidence and intelligence(enough to love and believe in yourself. As I have mentioned this is all debatable, for isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder?

Donald for being so smart you are really foolish to think the young, hot ladies you are with are with you for anything other then the lifestyle you provide. If you were you and you made $40,000/year none of the ladies that have had you would even BLINK your way. You buy everything including them.

I am not sure Donald is really seeing reality from Trump Tower. Without money and power Donald would be lucky to get a middle class looking Martha Steward. This is not a slam on him (he was handsome when he was younger and has great looking kids), but just reality. Age without money equals loneliness. I am convinced this is the biggest motivator for success.

If he really is interested what kind of women he could get without wealth, I suggest an experiment - go to a club disguised but with the same equivalent looks and see how he does. He can't look rich only middle class and tell women he is a construction worker that drives a Toyota Corolla. He can even tell women he is member of mensa to prove he is smart. Good Luck!

As a smart and beautiful happily married 34 year old woman, I agree with Mr. Trump. The consensus among my self- confident female peers is that, they would rather have thinkers as opposed to trophies. Guys don't be fooled, sensible women view security as the "American Dream". Remember, your mind is your greatest asset. Therefore, we'll take brain over brawny every time!

Greetings from London! As a beauty writer(www.beautybuff.biz) I felt duty bound to write a comment to this. From my experience, I think men are more insecure about their looks than they let on, especially things like thinning of hair, waist, etc. Michael Douglas having plastic surgery to stay young for Catherine Zeta Jones, is a case in point. Scientific research has confirmed that relationships last the longest when both partners look similar to each other, ie, have similar features. Research also confirms that those pairings with partners of similar attractiveness ranking, say a '7' girl is attracted to a '7' guy. Relationships where there are huge discrepancies of attractiveness have a lot of problems and may eventually end.
Anyways, I agree with you, Donald that you have used your brain(abundance thinking and honesty) to win over good looking women, but I think it is your good relationship with your mother, who,

HI Donald,

While I agree that a man with brain is important, I have to add, that I think most woman prefer to see their man well dressed, witty, kind, self confident and wordly, and lucky for me I married one.
However you are right in that big muscles are just as ugly on guy's ,as being very thin is on woman.

After reading Minnie Shaukat's comments I felt the need to respond once more. I once came across this vanity question regarding the sexes in my biology class back in the 70's. The girls argued that men were more vain about their looks and the men argued the opposite. My point in that class and one that stopped the argument dead cold was that I offered a comparison. That comparison being that I would offer up all the beauty / style products I had on me at the time ( a comb ) compared to what the women were carrying in their purses. Needless to say, none of the girls in that class wanted to take that challenge. Your comparison of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones is an interesting argument. Yes, vanity did play a role in Mr. Douglas having plastic surgery (taking your word on that) but on the other hand in line with the points that I have made on this board, she didn't exactly marry poor here. Simply stated, women will settle for a man who has financial security over looks. But if you don't have the money to back it up, you aren't ending up with a Catherine Zeta Jones. As for the rest of the folks here who throw in fillers promoting Trump books and other unrelated topics, if you choose to keep pointing to Trump and other celebrities and making this inane point that money doesn't matter then why don't you offer up some celebrities that marry poor people. Sure going to be waiting on that one for a while.

I think the jist of this message is we are all trained to want a great body, both for our selves and our partners. However if you don't have a great body and/or want a partner who has one, be smart make money and buy one.

Let's face it no one wants to be or have a fat flab

Oh! Mr Trump ... can't say I agree with you on this one!! I personally like a man who has a fairly good physique and is also smart. Lazy men both physically and mentally are a 'NO NO!' in my book ... Your American Apprentice winners Bill Rancic and Sean from UK are not exactly 'unfit' ... So - I'd say your a pretty smart businessman Mr Trump --- Excellent Taste! :-))

I think men don't really become conscious of their body image until it becomes apparent that they are losing out either financially or sexually. If they are looking at guys in magazines, I would be surprised. I think its the women they would like to be with that they see with a well toned guy that makes them take notice. I agree too that the best images are closly matched for strong romantic relationships...A great looking couple is instantly given credibility because it is a visual image. An image with no other "drive up appeal." As for the brain, ah...that's the next step in the attraction potion. Must have brain and power! Christina, Dallas, TX

I really liked this article Donald.
One thing I'd like to see more women models look more womanly that sickly. I'd like to see them accentuate their own beauty than someone elses. It's like finding a movie star or rock star you like and changing your looks to look like them. Not good. Find your own beauty and accentuate what you have. Truthfully Donald I've never really been impressed by men with perfect bodies, hair etc. It's the man that counts. Who he is. What he stands for. His ethics. His convictions. His determination to succeed. How high can he vision. How positive is he. Does he look at his screw ups or move on. How often does he screw up and why. Has he learned anything. Is he an egotist. Egos are excellent but there are two sides to an ego. One positive. One negative. I like egos. I like determination. I like positive thinking. I like total committment. I like No Deal only The Deal.
I like this article Donald,

My sister recently told me that I was a "pear" shape. I almost cried. I hate being referred to as a fruit. I know that most people use these terms to describe our shape, but there must be a nicer way to call my shape. So I decided to do some research...

I found a website that actually uses much better terms to describe our bodies. They use jewel types……what a great idea and way to describe our bodies! I am no longer "pear shaped…..instead I am "sapphire" shaped. I like that sooo much better. The website is www.holobi.com.., kudos to them for thinking of this. My sister is a "diamond"…I hate her.

Hey Mr. Trump, just because I commented on these older blogs doesn't mean I expect to see them posted.

Watch out your humor is showing - next thing you know people are going to know you are really a nice guy. You certainly do get a wide variety of entries. Its amusing to see what people envy (your beautiful wife and your money) and you must have a pretty thick skin to take all those shots.

One of the biggest issues with females in the magazine spreads is the changes that are made altering the appearance of the models to unrealistic proportions. I don't know how much of that is done with male models, but I'm glad to know it hasn't affected your sense of self.

To me, what makes the biggest difference is how he make me feel. Of course, a great sense of humor, a love of adventure, a curious mind, good work ethic and wisdom don't hurt. IQ isn't as important as knowing how to apply what he knows. Money had nothing to do with getting or keeping my attention, but strong arms didn't hurt.
