Why We Want You to Be Rich

My friend, Robert Kiyosaki, and I recently came out with a new book -- Why We Want You to Be Rich - and it's already a huge bestseller.

Some of the points we make in the book are sure getting a lot of attention.

We say the middle class is shrinking and America is becoming a two-class society. Soon, you will be either rich or poor. So in the book we offer readers a way to be rich.

People also have an entitlement mentality. Too many people assume that the government will take care of them. And our government has gone from the richest country in the world to the biggest debtor nation in history.

The solution is financial education in schools and individual responsibility. You can't sit back and wait for the government to take care of you. You have to take care of yourself. Learn to write a business plan, and be on the path to entrepreneurship.

We're giving a percentage of profits to support financial education and hope to raise half-a-million dollars in the first year. That's reason enough to buy the book. Find out Why We Want You to Be Rich. And then find out how to do it.

FYI Regarding United States debt:

Regarding the economy and that productivity is slowing while cost of production is increasing- although it would seem logical to raise Federal Reserve rates as a way to combat inflation- but I will now offer alternate routes to address our economic problems that may be more productive. So the way to cover the problems is to sell more bonds as a way to generate extra income. This is a way to create economic interdependency as what this amounts to is foreign investors who are investing in our country.

Something I am looking at is that a large part of debt is being bought up

Truth be known: I buy the books, read articles, and send for more info on how to be a millionaire, BUT unless I take action, nothing is going to get better. Fear of taking the risk and perhaps fear of the success hold me back. And yet, I don't want to wait and be in a panic predicament to then take risks. So I guess, I am sort of buying my time until I am ready to get my ducks in order to become more daring. Seeing this kind of info on my computer every day, I am hoping will keep inspiring me. I do believe it's up to me to make the changes and be in charge of my destiny. Thanks for your helpful wisdoms.

G'day Mr Trump,

When you say you'll support financial education I'm wondering what that means. Would you giving $100K to Wharton count as supporting financial education? Would supporting Trump University count? Or do you mean financing courses at high schools or the like?

Another question: what is your view on research performed
[-] Posted by Mark Rossi on 11/05/2006 8:43 PM
I agree with Mr. Trump. People need to stop relying on any external entity (such as government), and take action for themselves to create the life they want.
Education is a great way for discipling the mind.

Those who look to an external source, give away there personal power to that source, those who look within, Awaken...

It is a GREAT book! Are the two of you writting any other books together to share even more great information?

You have taken the processes I use to invest and grow one step further than I had thought possible!! You have caused me to re-evalueate and take my thoughts to new levels!

Time is change! People not like to depend on somebody on business! They want to build the business with their own way. Financial education is essential to build a new business. And people who believe their government can take of them, I think just a kind of idiotic people! However, to do franchise business require acknowledge from the owner business, that's what I mean! Since too many liars who sell their bull knowledge and their bull appearance! And sometimes, owner business not recognize which genuine businesspeople and which undercover businesspeople!

An excellent read indeed, once I had started I could not put it down. some interesting statements about the current socio-economic situation in the US which is reflected across many of the worlds more developed nations. The concept of 'entitlement' is particualy concerning in todays society which has to be the greatest contributor to the high levels of personal debt, both secured and unsecured. I thought I deserved a Bentley but Daddy got me a Golf instead - how rude! Well done again Mr Trump. Zander- London

It will be a large message with your permission, thank you in advance, look,
...again, don¨t hate the style, please. Thank you.
Phil Collins concert Paris, unknown year,
¨¨Finally The Farewell Tour!¨¨ it start with Drums Drums&more Drums, listening at I¨ve learned another class about Marketing and The Power Within, a silky class if pacient to follow it..1-st drum, the 2-nd one..well like a jump in the ancient times as being part at a Stonehenge ritual, remembering the old tradition in Romania at the end of the year, drums are singing 3 days before the year is over, as child I was wondering why they sing soo long? but looking at the sky believing that 3 days is necessary to reach the stars :)that way..
After listening at the song¨¨Ã„nother day in Paradise¨¨is about think twice about soo many people around us wich many of us pretend to did¨t hear them, did¨t see them but if in the water Globally Scarcity of resources each DROP COUNT!! thissame happened with Humanity and that large part of the peoples wich did¨t have perhaps a derniere choix...the connection with marketing class?
And the Ton make the musik right? They do it well and surely that night concert make a difference in the hearts of participants, so candid question please, who can be 1-st violin for the PEACE worldwide? just politicians? or each of us is an instrument as work playing our musik on the Earth, then why soo many problems are present in our gorgeous century we live in and how damn can we change that for the next generations, sons of our sons?!
If GWC impressed me with the work marketing as a small announcement in the local newspapers as:¨¨Ãœnlimited workplaces no matter the education, we ensure the training!!?¨¨
The point was just to choose to be part of theyr team, pay as entrance for the membership card or to come with 6new persons you really care about they¨¨re future!! marketing !!and after in the field you are good, you become the training with the best technology and best teachers soo, anybody surprised about that niche and about theyr accelerate grow worldwide? They apply ed the True Colour song of (wich in my modest opinion can become the Universal Hymn on the Earth)so nice as show your true colours, soo beauty full as a rainbow..if applied in work as result oriented and the way the World is walking on the Evolution Path give hope for soo many people wich at the moment did¨t have the derniere choix!!! and for sure that way will imply joy and will be in concordance with the Natural Laws: beauty as we look at flowers, at stars or at water or mountains e.s.o. But is true also that many did¨t know they¨re true colours isn¨t?
The Stars, we detect them measuring the intensity of the base colour and also the composition! And Tesla say to us that the stars are singing too!!
Beethoven gived us as GIFT!! What we choose to be in that huge Universe Orchestra?!! The piano, violin, drum?!
Each dream have a pulsation a colour and let a scratch on the face of the world,
don¨t give up and follow the dream!
Is our known Universe alone in space or is a whole team of Universes and at each end of the year some drums are reaching the distances between?
The Earth is blue from the distance but I want him green :)is the winter the basement of the powerfull green spring?.
Thank you all if enjoy the musik way for marketing or politics or whatever!
Nice, isn¨t?!! :)but looke, Mr Collins take the pulse of his audience also in his musical chat so if touching the market field that unusual way perhaps that¨s mean just more fitness is necessary to my ears to play it musical, so back to my homework , just this.
If is raining on many parts of the Earth
how many rainbows will shine as true colours in once?!
Have a good day, Dana

I'm quite disappointed to be honest. I purchased this book believing i was going to get some good insight on starting businesses and investing. The inside cover reads "Trump and Kiyosaki want to teach you to be rich." The sentence is quite misleading.

For one, after reading two chapters, I feel like the book was written for 5th graders. There's no excitement, no complicated or interesting word usage, no meaty subject matter or in-depth discussion! All i got from it was "I went to the store...I talked to Sally.....We had a good chat" type stuff.

Half of the book is egocentric stuff about how you two met to write the book. I don't care about stuff like that. I realize you have to have a big ego to be successful. It's a given. I have a big ego and I'm still just a college student. I also realize that you are successful. You don't have to throw it in my face 20 times a page.

Third, your philosophy is flawed. All the things you say about the terrible management of US money and the shrinking middle class are true. After that, it all takes a turn for the worst. Obviously rich people want the middle class to be stable so their top tiered society is stable. Everyone knows if the middle class disappears, it will end up as a war or revolution between the rich and poor. And with guns and knives....the poor always win! Also, the claim that money does not solve poverty is false. Maybe in the long run money does not solve poverty, but it does temporarily, which is exactly what the life is for some starving child in Africa. It's temporary. Teach him to be a successful businessman, but first save him from starvation and aids so he grows up to be a businessman, make sense? And the bible story of teaching a man to fish is so cliche, you gentlemen could have done better than that.

Basically temperance is the ultimate virtue, which is what should have been pressed upon in your book. Not everyone can be rich, so its you're job (in the book) to tell me why and how I should strive to be rich. And as for the middle class, well its okay to be in that category too, as long as you enjoy life. And as for philanthropy, its great to "teach", and to help the poor and middle class, but it must also be a balancing act between helping others and helping yourself. I believe you two focused on helping others in the book so much that its as if you're saying "We don't like being rich, its a terrible thing to be, we promise, we would give all our money away but...." You should have been more honest. Hey its great to be rich, but if you're rich, you have an obligation to give back.

In conclusion I believe you should have had my help in writing the book to help correct these silly mistakes. I have a great respect for both of you gentlemen, and I firmly believe that you could have done a much better job with the book. My two cents.

Dear Mr. Trump and Mr. Kiyosaki,
I am keen to translate the book "Why We Want You to Be Rich"into Chinese if you would grand me the right, and the translation shall forward for your examination and revision before it is officially published.
There is another problem for me that the credit cards in China does not allow purchasing online for US products, I wonder if there is any other channel that I could get my hands on the book?
Look forward to hearing from your favorable advice with interest
Best regards

Donald

I just finished your book. Your book was just like hearing you speak. You are very real. Very honest. Blunt. You see I like that and repect that very much. I think it shows alot of courage or gaul to speak out against what is happening in the world so openly. And I commend you for that. I heard a qoute once that always sticks with me that I think applies to you. "Someone who is afraid of losing their credibility doesn't have any." You my friend certainly are not afraid. You are a champion on many fronts. You inspire me. I don't know why because I already consider myself confident but from reading and listening to you I have garned even more confidence in what I will do in this life. I also love Robert Kiyosaki dearly for he and you with your rumour on the tonight show that set me forth on my successful course in Network Marketing. You see before I read his cashflow quadrant book I was going to be a ceo in a fortune 500 company or partner in a top 5 marketing firm and work ceaselessly to get there. Then after his book I saw I could make more in a month in NM and lots of other business' later on than I could in a year the corportate route. So he opened my mind to freedom. So I also commend you for choosing him as so worthy a co author with yourself. I look forward to speaking with you in the future. May God Be with You Always and Forever Donald.

As soon as I read at Amazon.com a sample of the content of the book today, I ordered it immediately. It made me feel better that I'm not alone in the observation of this terrible entitlement mentality. My relatives from the Philippines have that kind of mentality unfortunately. It causes me a lot of anger, but I believe I will get out of this anger

The book is great! The comments made about our country's economic condition reflect my own views; something I have been thinking about for many years now. I'm glad you two got together and put it "out there" for the people to "chew on," so to speak. Maybe people will start to think for themselves a little more. I have been working on acquiring Real Estate for many years now. I want to leave it to my children and grandchildren as a legacy. I have done well, and have been living off of my investments since the age of 55. I have purchased the book for my oldest son. I have also purchased some of Robert's books for birthday presents for friends and family, since reading your book. Keep up the good work! Karen

There alot of comment about why Trump and Robert really want us to be rich. But why and How?

Anyway...this is my opinion as an individual.

TEN DECADES OF MAN

As man is just born
He cries to protest his birth
Until his mother offers him milk
He takes it and goes to sleep
He wakes into a world so strange
Without choice he continues to live.

Man at his decode one is growing
He has learnt many of the rules
To know right from wrong
To know how much more he has to learn
He has started school
He is not a fool.

Man at his decade two has more to learn
About his body and his mind
Bringing them together for survival plan
Stretching them both as far as he dares
To find a befitting place to stay
Such that tomorrow be better than today.

Man at his decade three is mature
Nature draws him to a woman for sure
Woman he loves, fights and loves again
With her he has a child of his own
The child makes him proud and pure
For he now has future link like others before.

Man at his decade four is on his own
Fighting enemies to protect his own
Tilling soil to feed his own
Making a roof to cover his own
Swing cloth to cover his own
The world is now his own.

Man at his decade five is wise
Fights are not won

I just finished reading the book. Many great points. I like the point about mentality of so many people who simply expect the Government to pay for them. That is too bad since the last entity who would help us at retirement would be the Government. Both authors recommended investing in Real Estate, starting a business and surprisingly, getting involved in Network Marketing! Any idea which Network Marketing company Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki recommend (Or are involved in)? The idea and concept of Network Marketing is great - but too bad that too many Network Marketing companies lack honesty and integrity. I recommend this book highly - it does not show "how" to get Rich; instead it focuses on "Why" to get rich (with special focus on giving back to the society). In my own Web Design & Online Promotion business (same concepts that I teach at UCLA Extension) at times, I think small. This book keeps reminding us to think BIG! To play to win instead of playing NOT to lose!

Mr. Trump and Mr. Kiyosaki, I'm from Malaysia. Both of you have been my wealth creation mentor for years, I been to business when I was 21 and coz me in debt, reading both of youor books has been keeping me strong when I face any financial challenge. Both of you do not know me, but I know both of you :-) I'm glad that when I slip along the way creating my wealth but I always have you both to lift me up. You might not know how many lives both of you have touched, but for sure, if a book only change a person's life, but will change a million. Thanks again for both of your unselfishness in sharing your success.

I think there is NOTHING WRONG to get rich as long we get rich in proper way! The worst is if we make ourselves rich in one minute such as took money from government and said for develop business with Donald Trump but then use the money for personal investment and replace the money with narcotics distribution. I feel pity Donald Trump not realise that some people used his good performance for personal benefit. And at then end when people hate with Trump's business then Donald Trump go to court because of narcotics distribution. I believe you may get rich in proper way in you have good performance amongst people! What do you think?

Trump always makes it very clear that we must take responsibility for our own lives. Some of us do not need there charity for that but most can us it. I believe that a lot of readers can use their motivation to get off the couch and do anything. For the rest of us we should try to copy Trumps passion to motivate others.

When you motivate other, you personally profit.

Hi Mr Trump, i watched with awe and keen interest and listened. the sad thing today though is that a lot of young people are so narrow minded and tie their hopes down to working for a living and getting a fat pension.
In reality though no one gets really rich working for someone else and the few that do always branch out into investing.
I look forward to not only getting this new book , but also the art of the deal.
keep shinning Mr Trump its nice to know someone wants to give back to the society
