Lots of people have been asking me why I took such a harsh stand on Rosie O'Donnell.

I own the Miss USA pageant and had a Miss USA who is a very lovely girl, Tara Conner.

She had some problems because she was drinking too much. It was causing lots of difficulties but I decided to give Tara a second chance. She's right now in rehab and she's doing fine.

Rosie O'Donnell, however, didn't like that I gave Tara a second chance. She went on television and the venom came pouring out. A friend of mine called and said, --Boy does she hate you.--

I've known Rosie for a long time. She's been a loser. Her television show got bad ratings and she was fired. Her magazine was a total disaster and in fact, the publisher of the company, who was a rising star, ended up losing his job. She also did a Broadway play that was a total mess.

She's unattractive both outside and inside. You don't get worse than Rosie. She's been bullying people for a long time. And I'm the only one who fought back.

As far as I'm concerned, you don't get any lower than Rosie O'Donnell.

I can understand why you would want to lash out at Rosie but I think you went a bit overboard. Seriously Donald, you sound like a 16 year old girl. Lighten up and get over it already. Your war of words have completely turned me off to the point where I will never watch the Apprentice again and I have watched since day one. Just realizing what a shallow man you really are has turned my head.

Kudos for the Donald for standing up to that bully Rosie. She is everything that he said she is. All the fat people in the world are upset because he called a spade a spade. Why is it ok for her to hurl insults about his hair but she her little feelings were hurt. What a shame. I never liked her and never will. While your on a roll, can you do something about Oprah? If a white person opened an all white school, can you imagine the roasting they would receive?
Do something Donald!!

Although I don't have much time for Rosie I have to say that about the only thing that she said that was wrong is the fact that Trump was bankrupt. Personally Trump would never go bankrupt because he would be well protected against that. However, anyone who's casinos go bankrupt (twice I believe) is suspect - casinos are set up to make money! As far as his juvenile comments about Rosie go - who's the bully? While trashing Rosie there were many convenient "commercials" inserted and bragging regarding his wealth, education etc. Strangely enough I find myself agreeing with him on some other topics but that gets overshadowed
[-] Posted by CJ on 01/08/2007 9:35 AM
Do you not think that everybody deserves a point of view? I agree that Tara deserves a second chance but I don't agree with your comments about Rosie. You make yourself to be a big man with a heart but you sound like a two year old having a temper tantrum, you both should grow up and act like adults, bringing yourself down so low doesn't help your image. And really do something with your hair you have the money and contacts for the best hair stylists, use it.

The Donald is 100% right and frankly I think Rosie started all this for attention..Rosie couldn't be in Donald's league under any cicumstances so she used him to gain attention to herself. Donald Trump worked his ass off to get where he is today..Rosie is obnoxious. Period.
[-] Posted by Pam on 01/08/2007 9:51 AM
I am not a fan of Rosie's politics, or even of her rantings, but Rosie has a heart as big as she is and that heart is what makes her popular and lovable. You, Mr. Trump, show yourself publically as selfish, petty, materialistic, prideful, angry, and very easy to judge as worldly and self-centered. I don't know why but every time I've heard the words "what good is it if you gain the whole world and lose your soul in the process" I think of you.
I, like the former blogger will not watch The Apprentice this season as I have previously, because I have been so repelled

Mr. Trump, Rosie O'Donnell never suggested that Tara didn't deserve a second chance, she said who were you to be the moral compass of twenty year olds. I have watched you for a long time... but I must say I was greatly disappointed in your ability to handle this conflict. Once of the key parts in business is conflict resolution...and I am afraid Mr. Trump you get an "F" from me. I wrote a little blurb on conflict in the "be a winner in 2007"... I would look forward to your reading this...and perhaps you need to do some personal work..on your emotional triggers and responses. I am surprised if you have advisors...that this has gone on as long as it has...if you do Mr. Trump...I would say "YOUR FIRED" Be Well... Be Happy!

although i do agree with all entertainers not taking advantage of their positions,as entertainers, for their own political agendas,i resent the reference to this human being as a slob. have you been to her home ? is she a sloppy person ? does she offend personally ? i want to know when it became a crime to not be a size 0-2 to be accepted in society ? where did this double standard start? look at the sitcoms on tv right now. still standing, king of queens, according to jim , and prev. roseanne. why is a man accepted as a leading man in hollywood no matter what he weighs ? luther vandross, blues travelers, meatloaf, why is is acceptable for men to be grossly overweight and not woman ? triple standard -why are white woman shunned for excessive weight ganin and not aretha, latifah, missy, jill scott ? but if the lead singer from heart got fat in her 50's ,as we all do, she has to be hidden from the public eye.oprah is the most influential, generous ,humanitarian in the media but if matthew mcconahay (also a great humanitarian ) gains 10 lbs. he's on the cover of star mag. ? not cedric ,not biggy, not any of the af-amer.comm.-why ? when did it become a crime to wear a size 15 -16 pair of jeans ? i appreciated the efforts of j.manilo and the blonde from "my daugters "john ritters show. but i am also very insulted

Explain to me the difference between what Rosie said about you (that you went bankrupt)and the downright malicious things you have said about her? You say you are fighting back because she is a bully and a liar. You SIR are the bully, apparently you can't take a strong woman voicing her opinion. One - she never said she didn't think Miss USA shouldn't get a second chance she said YOU should not be the moral compass for young women. Two - Exactly where did you get your information about Rosie's show being a failure?? How many Emmy award's have you won? Apparently you have a hard time with the truth as well. SAD. Third - Going after Rosie for her personal appearance just shows everyone how SHALLOW you really are. Being Fat doesn't make you stupid, you moron, Nor does being Pretty make you smart. Honestly, those who live in glass houses REALLY SHOULDN'T CAST STONES!
And Lastly - Exactly how many charities have you contributed to MR. Trump, I doubt as many as Rosie.

I have never been a Rosie fan but I have to say, your gross display has made me a supporter of her and very anti-you (who "I used to support" I used to think you were smart. You spoke with the self-retraint and class of a 9 year old with no manners whatsoever. You tried to make her look bad, but hurt yourself ever so much more. She will now have more support than ever. the opinion everwhere.. America thinks you have shown your true colors and now everyone who saw you speak about Rosie can't help but know you are a real jerk in every sense of the word.. You blew it. All the $ in the world, but what will be remembered about you was what a low life you really were. You could have eloquently put her in her place with a dignified manner. But it's ok..we now know who you really are.

Mr. Trump, You think that because you OWN the pageant you have the right to OWN the ideas and beliefs of the general public along with our ethic and moral values. All you are doing is contributing to the degeneration of what is quickly becoming a "degenerate generation" Thanks for your contribution.

I don't understand why Donald continues to call Rosie a loser. If he has known her as long as he says, he should know that Rosie has given more to charities without advertising it than a lot of other celebreties or wealthy people. Rosie also was the first talk show host to give wonderful gifts to her audience members even before Oprah. Also she had a very entertaining show she chose to give up to take care of her children. Grow up Donald and stop bringing up the feud on every show you appear on. Let it go already! Rosie is a much better person for not commenting and adding fuel to the fire.
[-] Posted by jme4538 on 01/08/2007 11:35 AM
If you don't mind my saying, Donald, you've almost turned yourself into someone who I'd actually be willing to do business with. Being good at hurling invective and threatening people are qualities I respect in a man! Get me a wealthy and compatible man who is willing to marry me and father my children and you've basically cinched the deal! Perhaps someone in banking? Cheers!
[-] Posted by Tina on 01/08/2007 11:37 AM
Mr. Trump, your response to Rosie O'Donnell's comments have been venomous and vile. It doesn't really matter what she said, the comments you have made about her are classless, undignified, mean and immature. And you continue to spew forth the mean spirited attacks...not about her comments, but about her physique, looks, intelligence. Your message has been lost in all the unforgivable things you say about her physical attributes. Perhaps most of your friends, colleagues, acquaintances will indicate support for you, but I can assure you that they are also disappointed and embarrassed to some degree or another
[-] Posted by bmw on 01/08/2007 11:38 AM
I have a hard time understanding why Rosie is such a loser. She's made millions of dollars, which is especially impressive with her not having come from money in the first place like yourself. Most businesses fail initially. Rosie built a mini-empire that stood for many years and was at times very successful. Like your casinos filed under bankruptcy protection, her show and magazine were pulled. However, you bounced back, and she did too, and for you to now call her a loser and to very childishly resort to calling her fat is simply distasteful and cowardly. Grow up.

Mr. Trump I have respect for what you do and how you seem to be willing to help others to do the same. I also respect Rosie for all that she does. My problem with this feud is it is senseless. Why do you both need to attack each other on a personal level? Your comments about Rosie affected me on personal level as I too am "fat" and really changed my view of you. I only hope that this feud doesn't affect the ratings for your TV show.
[-] Posted by Bud Merigold on 01/08/2007 11:47 AM
You have lost a couple of viewers of your Apprentice program. Maybe it's time you got over it and grew up a little. You're hurting Donald, not Rosie.
[-] Posted by jennie on 01/08/2007 11:50 AM
Donald, Donald, Donald--I tend to agree with Joanne- you are one angry man. You hit Rosie way below the belt- she does her job well and is clever and funny. There have been a plethora of folks who have made fun of your hair over the years and I have never heard you blast them. I loved her show AND her magazine--perhaps she is not the business person that you are, but she has a better sense of humor than you do, obviously! I have been an avid watcher of the Apprentice but will not watch this season as I am tired of you blasting Rosie as well. Get over it! On a different note, I was walking next to your daughter in NYC this past Spring --she is even more beautiful in person than she is on TV-young and poised and hopefully has not inherited your mean spirited personality. And Darlene(comments)- you sound a bit racist. You may not like all of the attention that Oprah gets but she seems like an amazing woman who certainly has done some super things and has used her celebrity status to try to make the world a better place. What is so wrong with that?
[-] Posted by Patti B on 01/08/2007 12:09 PM
Donald is right on this one. Who is ROSIE to judge someone for giving them a second chance. Rosie IS gross and rude. And as for the "fat people" who are up in arms, get over it. I have struggled with my weight a different times in my life, and I am not at all offended. Many people that battle with their weight aren't loud mouthed and crude. We all have our vices and I hope for the best for Tara. I will have to struggle with watching what I eat for the rest of my life, Tara will have her own struggles and everyone else has their own demons as well. Rosie was wrong, she attacked first, her comments were out of line. Donald Trump may be many things but I will never mock someone for giving another human being a second chance AND offering them help in order to succeed.
Trump can't be all bad, he has been married to smart, beautiful women, he has incredibly smart and beautiful children and he is very successful and highly respected. Maybe he isn't a poster child for absolute morality but he is a mentor for countless young people looking for success and he is quite generous with his projects. He may benefit from the Miss USA deal and The Apprentice but both venues also also give an opportunity for other people to find success. What doors has Rosie opened? Instead of criticism, perhaps we should just say , "Thank you".
[-] Posted by Andrea on 01/08/2007 12:39 PM
Dear Mr. Trump, give it to her!
It's time Rosie got back exactly what she has been giving out at from her View ivory tower. Also, you are absolutely right when you insist that Tara maintain some sort of decorum while she is representing the title of Miss USA. Ever notice how Rosie defends all kinds of behavior? Could it be because she is a degenerate herself???
[-] Posted by David Scott on 01/08/2007 1:26 PM
So, you've decided to stoop to Rosie's level, huh? I'm just curious. Where's the integrity in this? I mean, you go out of your way to inspire people and demonstrate the incredible human potential that we all have. Your comments about Rosie don't seem consistent with that.

I understand that you are defending the values of the Miss America brand. At the same time, this doesn't really work for your image. You might have exhibited a powerful demeanor
[-] Posted by Barbara on 01/08/2007 1:32 PM
I watched your show and everytime you came on screen I thought about your rude comments on a persons size and intelligence. You are disgusting and I cannot get past what you have said recently in the media. Sadly I do not think your show will do much better, you have offended the majority of America ( you know the fat ones with failures in life)I will never watch, buy, eat, drink, smell, wear, sleep, or gamble or do anything that has your name attached, let all your skinny friends pad your wallet. Yes I am sure some of us will still be Fat in ten years but you will be not as rich and very old without hair to mold on your head. As they say "what goes down comes around" I can accept mine are your ready to accpet yours?

Thank you Mr. Trump for getting back at Rosie and standing up to her. How dare her talk about your ex wives, children and your business. Who asked her? I thought that was very disrespectful. I don't think it was about the young lady, she took the opportunity to bad mouth you. I can't believe Barbara Walters allowes her to insult you, or anyone. That is not an opinion or view, but just plain insulting someone on TV. She is obnoxious and rude; look what she did to Tom Selleck, Kelly, the Chinese community and now you. I can certainly understand what you are doing; she is a bully and there is no other language that she would understand. Thank you for "throwing it back" at her face. I'm sorry the over weight people feel insulted, but I know you didn't mean any harm to anyone else. I haven't watched the program since Rosie started in it. Oh yeah, don't forget Star Jones, Rosie also had something to say about Star Jones and how she lost her weight. They should get her out of the show The View, soon!

I had every intention of watching the Apprentice LA until Trump opened his classless mouth. While I watched originally, I quit after season 2 as it was obvious it was a tired formula. I had thought maybe bringing it to a new city would liven it up. Then I learned he'd replaced his staff with family it confirmed he was a narcissitic idiot, but I still planned to watch. And then he had to bad mouth every woman who doesn't look like the bimbos on his arm. The only reason he was ever allowed to procreate is the amount of money in his bank account... certainly isn't his looks. So, Pot -- Kettle... Kettle -- Pot. I'm no Rosie fan either, but Donald showed what a classless pig he is. I won't watch the Apprentice ever again. Ever. So enjoy your fued. We now know exactly who and what you are.

Monday, the View, Barbara Walters states that Mr. Trumps statements in regards to a conversation regarding Rosie were false. Hmmmm. What's a "news woman" doing in entertainment television in the first place? (Making Money on these types of issues). I've never been a big fan of "The View" for the reason that it was deisgned

I am a woman who owns a company in the construction industry. Donald, both YOU & Rosie have failed in business at one time or an other. Attacking Rosie on her weight is low. Rosie has also done a lot for children. That is a great loving gesture not disgusting. Its apparent she has a big heart. I have enjoyed your show in the past, but you need to resolve this dispute with Rosie before it affects your ratings. You are a smart business men so do the right thing.
Thank you for your time.

Congratulations Donald for standing up to Rosie. Now please back off and let her burn her own bridges (she is doing an excellent job). We all know she was not attacking you rather she was attacking Tara the pretty, thin, young girl. Rosie is jealous that you would give Tara some attention and not Rosie herself. If you keep responding to Rosie she will be getting her way. Please don't stoop to her level anymore.

What I really enjoy is that people write in and say that they will not have anything else to do with Donald Trump...when thats exactly what they are doing.

But lets be honest here Rosie HAS gave money to people and spent time working with some great groups. This does make it right for her to act in such a way as she has since joining The View. Her actions and thoughts have been on edge. Rosie has been looking for a fight and when she turned over the stone on Trump's side she found it.

The trouble is people like Rosie just start fires and walk away. Rosie claims to have dropped the matter but continues to mock and push the envelope. People like this leech off the scandal. Did Rosie apologize when she made claims to about Kelly Ripa?? I sure didn't see it. I always see Barbara Walters doing the job of damage control when it comes to Rosie. Rosie is a lot of things but she is also very lucky. She has the fortune of being able to start these things and claim the rewards while others have to watch what they say.

People are generalizing what was said. Donald Trump does not hate fat people or women. It is simple...Rosie made comments about his character, so Trump returned the favor...Rosie made fun of his appearance..
Trump returned the favor, except Trump does not do comedy, he does real world buisiness so the return fire was serious.
Rosie made false claims about Trump's bankruptcy.....Trump made true claims about Rosie's failures.

The fight is level based, Trump worked for his money.

The only thing that makes me mad about Rosie is that I really wish I had some of the chances she has gotten and has had.

That my friend is the big thing. To have a chance at acting or directing is a dream and I think Rosie has lost touch a bit.

To dreamers like me it is hard to watch someone sink to a level like that.

Trump is defending his hard work.

For that, you cannot blame anyone.

Mr. Trump,

late in a evening in metro, a woman front of me reading a book like..don¨t laugh please, *with the legs on the Earth and the head in the Heaven* soo, I was pretty in a bad mood after a heavy day, but reading the title well, I smile and the woman see it..well we started to talk about the book at least she insist that I read it, and a short story about >80yo woman show the power of the words..like,
the good words shower the soul and give force and bad words...as you said, venom..
look, is true that she have you *veeryyy pleased* in her way to overreact, but you are a gentleman at first and your class I like to see it shine, you know, you take so good care of Tara but to Rosie you can smile and say, dear, as a man I can*t accept such words from a womans mouth but as friend, please go to follow a diet for your health sake, I care about you as friend more than you do to yourself...
Really with that lion attitude who can face you?In a intervieuw your son said that as friend you can be more than persons can imagine but thissame match the enemy% if people as Rosie pleased you. The last words in the book where like, a peak of a mountain, with the whole view surrounded

Mr. Trump:
You were my hero and although I believe you to be one of the most brilliant business men there is in the world, I am saddened about the feud with Rosie.

I was a little shocked when she made the comments she did because it was against one of my heroes, but I chalked it up to it being her line of work, her personality and in fact her lively hood. It didn't really hurt you. It was almost funny to me and probably funny to a lot of her fans.

However when you made very personal and public comments that were, in my opinion, aimed at getting in the lowest blow, it was too much for me. You mentioned her physical appearance, you mentioned her girlfriend, and you mentioned her intelligence. Wow, you sounded like one of the apprentices you would have fired yourself.

One of the reasons I liked you was your no nonsense way of looking at things. I always thought you to be fair and unbiased, now with the low blows you threw while you were upset, I think you may have let your real personality show and it's disappointing.

As one of your biggest fans, I will miss you and I'll also miss dreaming of one day being one of your apprentices, but I wish you the best. Sincerely

Donald Trump, I think you need to look at yourself before you talk about Rosie. She may not be the best person but at least she is good parent. Unlike you. I remeber reading in People how you will never been seen walking your child down the street. Shame on you. You do not deserve to be called a Dad. There is more to being parents then money. Neither you nor your wife no what it takes to be a good "real" parent. Lets see the two of you act like everyday parents. You wouldn't last a week. Rosie on the other hand is awesome at and isn't afraid to do normal things like taking her children for a walk. Shame on you you are the loser!!
[-] Posted by Maria on 01/08/2007 3:02 PM
THE VIEW is STILL talking about this on the Jan 8th show!! TRUMP is only bringing this back up (to-date) because she is on THE VIEW...AGAIN...talking about it. Let me get this straight, in a world of so much hate and anger, TRUMP gives a girl another chance and Rosie bashes him (of which MIGHT I HAD was rather harsh, and TRUMP gets blasted on this blog. Yes that is the purpose of THE VIEW, to give "their view", but she started the show PERSONALLY bashing him for doing a GOOD thing!! He was showing his "view", why shouldnt that be okay? RIDICULOUS, he is a humanitarian, shows you can give young people a second chance, and according to Rosie that is NOT okay. Great example to set for growing kids Rosie.
[-] Posted by Vicki on 01/08/2007 3:25 PM
Mr. Trump, I had to comment today (Jan. 8) after hearing Barbara Walters deny she said anything derogatory about Rosie to you. My mouth dropped open, as I never would have expected in 100 years to hear Barbara Walters LIE. I know that you would never make something like that up. Why would you. Barbara has lost all my respect, & I have watched her for many-many-many years. Rosie is absolutely disgusting - that's a no brainer. But please, take the high road. Rosie, in her "simple" and "evil" way of thinking, thinks she is winning. Just walk away, indifference is worse than hate. It will drive her crazy forever.

I have never watched your show or paid much attention to you at all. The same holds true for Rosie. Though I don't always agree with her sentiments or her politics, ...I find her to be quite funny on The View. That's her job. She is a comedian. And you Mr. Trump have shown your true, ugly, humorless self. It's time for you to take your ball and go home, little man.

I was SHOVED out of the way. That's no way to treat a customer and your attack of Rosie is no way to treat another person. SHAME SHAME SHAME on you!

I cannot understand why people are stunned at your comments but Rosie can tongue and cheek her way out of it. Please, she is getting as much out of this fight as anyone else. I find it hard to believe that she can say that she could teach people a thing or two about raising children or acting mature and then she defames you for giving someone a second chance. At the end of the day she does not want to be judged on her values or beliefs but has the audacity to judge others on theirs. Give me a break. I agree with some of the others on this blog though, let her sink her own ship. She is headed that direction anyway. Have a great day!
[-] Posted by Carol on 01/08/2007 4:35 PM
Mr Trump: Why don't you look at the
tape of Rosie's original comments. She wasn't commenting on your giving Miss USA another chance. She was in fact commenting that you shouldn't be the moral compass for anyone considering
you cheated on each of your wives.
Noticed that The Apprentice was in 3rd place last night...guess your publicity stunt backfired. And Barbara Walters called you a liar today. Good for her!!!

[-] Posted by Michelle Morgan on 01/08/2007 4:36 PM
I support Mr. Trump on this issue. When someone's integrity is challenged I believe they have a right to stand up for themselves. I feel bad for Rosie as she must have low self-esteem to have attacked Mr. Trump's character for doing what was absolutely the right thing in giving Miss USA a second chance. I've certainly appreciated the many second chances I've received over the years. But Rosie was wrong and quite frankly I'm tired of hearing her extreme opinions when she shows little respect for those whose opinions differ. And one more thing, I am overweight myself and not at all insulted
[-] Posted by Caryn on 01/08/2007 4:54 PM

Mr. Trump, the venom you have spewed forth regarding Rosie O'Donnell (and in the past Martha Stewart)only shows the public what kind of character you possess. You could have taken the high road and said Rosie was entitled to her opinion. You would have come across as the better person. Instead you have humiliated yourself

Indifference has previously been the order of the day when it comes to my concerns towards either Donnie or Rosie. But it's amusing, somehow, when greasy old dudes seemingly lose the ability to look at themselves objectively. How can you put forth these accusations concerning Rosie O'Donnell's weight, Mr. Trump, when you yourself possess a gross, unseemly double chin that sticks out just a little bit above your collar? Also, your luxurious lock of sandy blond hair isn't helping your case. I can't respect the comment that Rosie is "unattractive both inside and out" when it's coming from someone who tries to cover up his receding hairline with an endangered species.
[-] Posted by Paul on 01/08/2007 4:58 PM
I think Donald Trump did the right thing. I mean yeah it's hypocritical of him to lash out at her but considering her mentality that's the only game she seems to understand. As for going overboard, I disagree. I think that was just him playing her at her own game. And now she's on the defensive.

Even Jin the rapper is on her ass after that incident with the mock chinese. Seriously, Rosie's the one that's the 16 year old girl.

Thank you Mr. Trump for standing up to Rosie O. I do not like her personality very much. I have lost admiration toward Ms. Walters since hiring Rosie and I stopped watching the VIEW. I feel you are a great business man and love the Apprentice. P.S. I am overwieght and not proud, but I do not take offense at what you said. If anything, I take it as encouragement to get thin. Donald, I am pleasantly plump and married. My husband has not had affairs because of his moral code about being ethical and honorable-not from my beauty, I can assure you. You really reacted poorly when you called Rosie "fat". Obviously, you don't mind losing many of your devotees. And, after that comment - the "devotees" who do stay with you without first hearing from you a moral apology for attacking someone's weight...well.. I would be worried about and check my back for a knife frequently. Would you love a "fat" daughter any less than a "slim" one? In terms of Rosie hitting the mark when she said that you shouldn't be the moral geiger counter for 20 year olds, she's correct. Would you want a male to treat your daughters the way that you've treated your woman in the past? What goes around comes around. Be careful! IN your next life, you may have a weight problem AND no money from you Dad. Happy New Year!

I'm finding this all fascinating! I don't know why Rosie said what she said, nor Mr. Trump for his comments but you have to admit one thing - it's entertaining! Even when we say "I will never read or view anything bla bla bla" - we're a curious bunch and will always want to know what's next. As for me, I'm just fascinated at how big this became and the speed in which it grew. Was it for publicity - I'll never know, that belongs in hearts of the two that created this stage of he said, she said.

Thank you Mr. Trump for standing up to Rosie O. Not only I do not like her personality but to use the Media as her personal forum for her opinions is totally wrong. If anybody would like to see what type of integrity or what kind of ethics Rosie has, go back to the days which she had her own TV talk show when she had Kris Kristofferson on and Rosie bragging how she would go into Korvette's Inc. in New York and steal record albums. Give me a break, how two-faced this woman to judge anyone especially when she went on National TV and bragged how she would steal from a Corporation….. Great example to set Rosie for your children.

I look up to you and think that you are a wonderful businessman. I look at this situation between you and Rosie and think that it is not you. You have people on your show to show who can be the strongest and the best. To me, acting this way does not prove strength or goodness. I don't understand why you give energy to something that you seem to be saying over and over again is beneath you. Have you ever seen "The Secret"?
[-] Posted by Brian on 01/08/2007 6:53 PM
Mr. Trump,

I agree with you in principle but this is a waste of your valuable time. If you're going to go after a celebrity, go after one with an empire like Oprah or Mark Cuban, or Michael Jackson... well maybe not Michael. Go after someone you can bring to ruin, not one who has already achieved it ! Anyway, I have an idea for a line of musical products, but I need a brand, like TRUMP, to market it right. OEM, built-in market, distr. chain and huge margins in place - give me a call!

Oh and, good luck with Roseanne er...Rosie.

I haven't been a big Rosie fan...at least not until now. You, Donald Trump, changed that for me. Rosie is a commedienne. She hasn't said things that others have said about you, but for some reason, when she said what she did, you started calling her names worse than any first grader. Is this the example you set for your children? When someone says something about you that you don't like or find to be true, you go on every talk show in America and call that person names? How sad for you!! I have chosen to teach my children a better way. Take the high road. We're all tired of hearing you brag on what you have and who you know. Who cares????

Rosie O'Donnell vs. Donald Trump

I am so glad Mr. Trump stood up to Ms. O'Donnell's incessant bullying. He is the first person besides Star Jones Reynalds in recent months that have stepped up to confront her unbelievable vicious attacks on others. Just because someone is famous, does not make it okay to make fun of various events in their lives, hairstyle or whatever.

I for one am sick and tired of Ms. O'Donnell's remarks. I am deeply disappointed that she has been allowed to continue her forum of abuse and persecution on The View. I cannot understand why it seems The View sees Ms. O'Donnell as the victim in these conflicts. She is not the victim she is the instigator. She will continue to humiliate and mock people as long as it is accepted

[-] Posted by Carla Sapp on 01/08/2007 7:38 PM
I agree with Donald Trump and I'm a female. She's says whatever she wants to say on television and just because she is a woman does not mean we have to agree with her. She's rude and just because she throws her lifestyle and children down America's throat does not mean everyone agrees and want to hear her stories. As far as Trump calling her FAT...well she is and she's not ATTRACTIVE AT ALL. She's always pushed the envelope to the limit and I feel Mr. Trump has a right to run his business the way he see fit. Rosie does not respresent me because I'm a mother of a college student, I weigh under 150 pounds and I don't agree with her at all anytime or anywhere she speaks. What's happening to American? Where is this leading...why does she continually come on television with her Rude and Crude views....we are not all apart of her lifestyle nor do we care to be. I agree with Mr. Trump whole heartly...give others a second chance...Barbara Waters allowed her to come back on TV and all she's caused is TROUBLE. I'll give her 6 months at the most.
[-] Posted by Kristin on 01/08/2007 7:49 PM
Mr. Trump, Right on for blasting Rosie! She has very short memories about giving people second chances. Actually she is going through her second chance now and failing miserably on the View. She is a two faced liar, who doesn't even know her own identity. That is why she bills herself as a comedian, she is just starving for attention, and feels the need to poke fun at all who are threatening her "moral" compass. Having the moral compass of a twig doesn't really count to most of us. Yea, I am fat and you do need a new doo, but we are who we are. Enjoy YOUR SUCCESS!

Donald, What are you 5 years old? You do not have to defend your choice to give someone a second chance and you certainly do not have to act like a toddler in doing so. I would not let my 3 year old act like you have and your reasoning as to why you were so harsh is ridiculous. You want people to look up to you, desire to work for you and watch your show... than act like an adult. Who cares what Rosie said? Really! I just don't get why you have to defend yourself and lash out if you are this powerful confident man? I hope you move on soon.

I do not understand why you would put yourself in a position where you would be caught lying in the public eye, this can only be detrimental to you business dealing and public persona.
[-] Posted by Leslie Ann on 01/08/2007 9:42 PM
I hope Donald reads this. First off - I think you would've been better just saying nothing. After all, who is Rosie to be the voice of morality? Also - so what if she said you had come close to bankruptcy (whether or not it was true.) Your ability to recreate and reinvent yourself financially and bring rags to riches is one of the reasons you are so popular. I was a big fan of yours and I watched all of your apprentices... until now.

The problem is that I am a plus size woman. I am an attorney, very successful and I earn more than Bill Rancic does. I work out with a personal trainer, I eat no fried food - and I try to take care of myself. Yet I would be considered "fat"

TRUMP LIED - and it backfired on him. First, we were listening to Rosie when she began her comedy bit. She said that she found it inappropriate that Trump would consider himself the "MORAL COMPASS" over what is right or wrong for 20 year old Americans. Trump saw gold! His failing TV show is on it's last legs and NBC has been threatening to dump it for a long time. He saw an opportunity to jump on Rosie's fame and call her out - so he twisted the Rosie comment to start the fight. A trick donnie does all the time. He also took offence to her saying he went bankrupt. Well Rosie stretched that a bit - Trump was inches from bankruptcy, but his creditors who already lost HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS decided to restructure the deal with him - rather than risk losing even more money in court. SECOND TRUMP LIE - he has known Rosie to be a loser for years ... really is that why he invited her as a guest to his second wedding? I often invite degenrate losers to my wedding. THIRD TRUMP LIE - Rosie's show got bad ratings and she was fired. Rosie's show had better ratings than The Apprentice ever got. And I read that Warner Brothers offered Rosie a huge amount to resign on with the show for more years, but she wanted to spend more time with her children. TRUMP LIE NUMBER 3 - Rosie's magazine was a total mess, my wife remembers that magazine being a good magazine, so I looked up the history of it. It did do quite well, and Rosie pulled the plug on it. She was sued for pulling the plug - and won, where is the mess. TRUMP LIE NUMBER FOUR - Rosie's Broadway play number was a mess, well I didn't get to see it - but from what I can look up on line, the CD continues to sell well, and the show was nominated for 4 Toni Awards MONTHS after the show closed. These awards as supposed to mark excellance in the play industry. TRUMP LIE NUMBER FIVE - Rosie is unattractive on the INSIDE. Where does he get that from? I know he can sell real estate, but what makes him think he has the God given right to judge people? Wake Up people - in stead of following him like little sheep and believing every word that he says - do a simple google search and read about Donnie for yourself. Start with the NAKEDGUN dot COM and look into how much of his supposed billions he gave to charity - on that fact alone he cannot hold a candle to Rosie. In my view, just like the Trump Shuttle - Trump failed again, and his show will now suffer for it, and the word around NBC is - it may get the axe BEFORE it gets to the end of the season - wow, nice trick Donnie

Rosie talking about morals...hmmm let's think about this. First of all she is a lesbian who broke up her family to be with her lover. Second of all, Ms. USA is supposed to represent young americans, however, I feel she is accurately portraying how young america is. For us to sit back and try to pretend young americans are proper and prim is proposterous! We can't expect them to live up to impracticle standards, especially with all the Paris Hilton's and Britney Spears out there. I think the media should be to blame. They are responsible for putting this crap on television.

I don't care who's right and who's wrong in this "feud."

They are BOTH adults and what comes out of each of their mouths is their reponsibilty.
No one, but no one has mentioned the word "responsilble"...

My mother ALWAYS told me that what comes out of your mouth...can NEVER be put back in, so, make sure that you are are RESPONSIBLE for what you say.

The other most important thing she taught me was that NEVER to name call or name bash, as we are each an individual human being...made from TWO other individual human beings, so, when you name call or name bash, you are also name calling and name bashing your very parents...and down the line it goes.

What I care about is how the kids in schools around the country are going to react.
I think that we must get ready for a whole new wave of bigtime name calling and bullying...and I think when that happens, and I fear it will, then, we have two people to thank for that...Donald and Rosie...

It's an utter IRRESPONSIBILITY from both of these "adults."

Mr. Trump:

You know, I too never cared much about either one of you until you brought yourself to my attention. Since I am someone who likes to do research, I found some interesting comparisons between the two of you.

As a man who inherited great wealth from his rich daddy, where exactly have you ever had to really prove yourself or had to overcome true hardship?

Rosie was a foster kid who remained in the system her entire childhood - she raised herself up to where she is today; she is an equal participant with her loving partner of 10 years (when is the last time you've been with anyone for 10 years?) in raising four children (Rosie writes time off to help with the kids into her contracts); Rosie gives not only money, but a great deal of her life to charitable work with children (I believe that The Smoking Gun revealed documents that showed you to be about the stingiest billionaire ever); Rosie also involves herself in activities which promote unity and tolerance.

Come to think of it, Rosie is pretty much a winner in every area that counts...and in every area where you've been a miserable failure.

She had the audacity to attack Kelly Ripa and accuse her of making a homophobic remark to Clay Aiken, amongst many other things. What I think is sad is that there are still people out there who feel that your immature behavior towards Rosie is acceptable. She said some things that were uncalled for, but you responded with a tirade of filth and venom on every talk show who would allow you on. You turned this into a media circus and refused to let it go. I can't believe that some people are criticizing her for her very few comments today, after you have said vile things about her for weeks now. Things that she has let go without a comment. Instead of ignoring her comments, like you do the countless other comments made about you, you attacked her in a way that should shock any adult or child. Forget calling her fat, you called her ugly, a low life, a slob, a degenerate and a loser. You lied about Barbara Walters. You also lied about her show. She did not get fired. Do you really expect us to believe that you are the only person in the business who knows she was fired as you state? You threatened to sue her and for what? Commenting that you cheated on your wives, noticed that you never denied that, or for commenting that you went bankrupt? Well I am sorry, but how many times did your businesses go bankrupt? Didn't one of your companies, one that you were the CEO of, file chapter 11 in 2004? I am sorry, but how is she wrong? It is kind of like saying that a car ran over someone not the driver. I think I'm sick of being politically correct.I admire Donald Trump for giving Rosie what she deserved.
Excuse me.......I do think Donald OWNS the Miss USA pageant!
I think how he runs it is his business!
Does Rosie think Tara should relinquish her crown because she has a problem?
Gee how closed minded is that?Does Rosie have a problem with a beautiful young lady having a second chance?
I don't even know if the girl has a problem!
Drinking and partying when you are young ,isn't a criminal thing yanno!
I know there are certain criteria, rules, and regulations you have to meet when you get involved in these pageants, but c'mon.

I'm married to one.
Rosie just seems to be not very attractive on the inside.
Let's put the shoe on the other foot.
Rosie gives a lesbian, that works for her,a break.
She's Rosie's Nanny and she got busted for pot.

Mr. Trump I think you have gone way over the limit. I am not only offended but actually shocked at your statments and actions. If a male comedian had used the same comments that Rosie did you would not have batted an eyelash. Believe me when I say I have hear more jokes about you than I care to remember! Your reaction was worse than most 8 year olds. When she said you should not be the moral concience of 20 year old girls I agreed with her, going on your public record with pretty young women.
Then you started attacking her like you did. Fat, ugly, not smart among your other nasty comments. Well in my book you went from slightly annoying to complete jerk. Until you made such an uproar over this I had pretty much just let what Rosie said slip my mind.. now I find it a shame she didn't dig deeper. As a plus sized woman I found your comments completly ignorant and unfeeling, but hey look at the women in your life and it pretty much shows how shallow you really are to begin with. You need to step back and take a look at your view and treatment of women in general sir.
Mr. Trump not only will I never again watch you on TV I am researching every product and facility that you or your companies hold stock in. I will not buy any products or services from any of them. I think you are going to find that what you have done can cause you serious damage in the business world.

You are not mean nor anything negative anyone has posted towards you. I really appreciate you calling what you see exactly how you see it. I had a letter drafted to 'The View' 4 months ago. It basically read that the show was letting Rosie come in and dominate the show and the ultimate outcome of that would not be good. I never sent it though...I just figured...well, why should I try to tell a network they are screwing up. The View is not Ms. O's show, but she sure thinks it is.

I agree with you too that she will run that show right into the ground (about 6 ft) that's my interpretation of your words.

I believe I have not too much influence on media...I think 15 years ago, the media counted the 1 written complaint as 10,000 feel the same or so....I'm not sure of the math now...

But I would ask you please do not back down from this fight or start fighting nice. I appreciate and respect your candid words and honesty in a battle of words with this woman, make her back down...she started this, your business was none of hers to make personal.

Rosie O'Donnell needs Mr. Trump to stop harm herself

I find you to be the bully, Mr.Trump. Rosie is a comedian, she was making a joke. You have absolutly no problem when Jay Leno and David Letterman make fun of you. What are you showing your kids, that its o.k to say awful things to people. Did you ever hear, turn the other cheek. You sounded like a little kid. Rosie has done allot of wonderful things for children and charitys, always asking not to be in the limelight. I think you could learn allot from her. Whos fault is it this time, that the Apprentice didnt get anymore veiwers than last season. I'm sure you will find someone or something to blame it on. I feel like your the bully, grow up and try to be a better role model for your children. You say that the pagent girls are "your girls". And you might let Miss USA pose in playboy, thats really all american. You in my opinion, sound like a male chauvinist pig. I hope you learn something from this whole experiance, life is short cant we just all get along.

I beleive that your response to Rosie was too tame. I fully believe that if you are attacked tht you must strike back with a full defense and all the weapons available at your disposable. Rosie has built a reputation through attack, attack, and attack of anything she personally does not believe in- whether it is based in reality or not. She is not concerned with the truth or reality. She is only concerned with her own personal views. You were too mild on her. It is about time that somebody really cut her down to size.

Trump unable to meet loan payments financed the construction of his third casino, the $1 billion Taj Mahal, with high-interest junk bonds. That put him at a disadvantage with competitors who used more of their own money to finance their projects. Things were so bleak for Trump that in the August 21, 1990 edition of the Jersey Record, columnist Mike Kelly wrote "If we still had debtors' prisons, Trump would be in the dungeon." Kelly added that "Donald Trump is a Third World Nation."

In this battle, you have said that you do not have to be politically correct because you are not running for office. While that is true, if you want to make money from licensing andthe market value of your celebrity, then you ARE in a battle for the value of the Trump name in hearts and minds of the consumers of the world. When you insulted Martha, it lost value in my eyes. When you fired Catoline it lost value in my eyes. But when you insulted Rosie, you insulted me- and it hurt me. You can't used the words fat, ugly, and degenerate in the same sentence because it makes them all seem connected in some way. There are huge numbers of overweight female consumers out there. There are also huge numbers of women who are literally dying to be thin. Rosie was right when she said that when you insulted her, you insulted millions of women- and if your value in the hearts and minds of those women are important to you, then you need to make it perfectly clear that a woman's weight has nothing to do with her inherent value in your eyes. Whenever you insult someone, you show the ugliness of your own soul. Whenever you praise someone, you show the beauty of your soul. IMHO, if you want the ratings to go up, you need to reflect the glory of your organization through the accomplishments of your apprentices, your employees, and your apprentice wannabees. Your destiny is to be a guiding light not a overpowering trumpet. Live your destiny.

Mr. Trump, after watching rosie on the View today I decided to post this. I am overseas with my husband in the military thus the reason I only saw the episode today. My husband and I are huge fans of yours, I think you are en exceptional businessman and although others may say not, you are a quiet giver to those less fortunate without having to publicize it. I also however do find Rosie entertaining however she does tend to have her "rants". I agree that she personally attacked you and it was irresponsible and non-fact based. However, that being said I believe it was also extremely irresponsible of you make a statement, although true, but one that encourages stereotypical prejudices as a form of retaliation. I am a plus sized woman, don't have a darn problem with anyone calling me fat either, what like I don't know it? It is not a choice to be fat, I am as active as I can be although I have Multiple Sclerosis and constant rounds of steroids are working against me and horrible, horrible fat genes! However, despite what Rosie says about you being the moral authority of young women, that you may not be but the Miss USA pageant is watched world wide

We all know you inherited, and even screwed that up, 9 billion in the red. The banks only refinanced you in the face of otherwise steep losses. You inherited as well a few cheap tricks, and one liners. You ego is pathetic and unfounded. You're shows rating is falling. The only girsl that support you on this blog are gold diggers. COME ON PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!
How can you all not see that this Rosie thing was blown out of proportion just for some free advertising!?!?! It just so happens that this all took place just before the new Apprentice season was about to start. Mr Trump is berated in the media all the time and says nothing. Now that he needs some free airtime he responds to one of the many fools mouthing off at him. A genious move
[-] Posted by Anita on 01/09/2007 7:00 AM
I won't be watching this season. And I was a huge fan of the Apprentice. I believe in Karma and I think this show is numbered and won't be back. You should of taken the high road, Donald. Said your comment and moved on. Keeping it in the tabloids to try and win viewership, looks to have bite you in the butt. I'm sadden to think someone that I admired for all these years, has sunked to this new low. Rosie made her comment, on her show. You took it to every tabloid you could have, with all the questions. You could of easily just not commented and taken the high ground. Not sure you will see these comments. But, from what I have read, there are a lot of posters here that feel the same way I do.

I used to love how hard nose you were with the Apprentices. Now, all I feel is sadden that you turned one comment into an all out war of the words.

You will continue to be a great success in whatever you do, but your show is numbered and will not do well.

Donald Trump is suppose to be a highly respected businessman, whom in my opinion has lost his mind. Rosie is a comedian, who makes fun of people for a laugh...what Donald Trump commented was disrespectful, rude and I have lost any respect I had for the man. I will never watch or support anything he does again.

Mr. Trump, at first I actually thought all of this was a publicity stunt. Be that as it is, you are a man of tremendous stature. Now, ACT LIKE ONE - a man with dignity. Rosie is a comedian. She'll make a joke out of whatever to make people laugh. It's her job. But you... NEVER IN ALL MY LIFE have I ever imagined a man with such wealth, such dignity could arise to the top with such little education. Nevr in all my life would I imagine seeing a man, woshiped

I can't believe what this has come down to. Every time I turn on the television I hear something about The Donald and Rosie. Mr. Trump, no matter how much you hate Rosie, why do you keep this tirade up? I heard you say that in high school you learned to beat a bully you need to hit them between the eyes. Well, was her one comment worth all of the bullying your doing? Didn't you also learn that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all? I am not sticking up for Rosie and her comments, but I do think that this childish behavior is completely uncalled for, especially coming from a man of your stature in the eyes of Americans. Just stop already!

Mr. Trump, you are a perfect example that MONEY CANNOT BUY CLASS. You sound like a ten year old bully on the school yard with all the crap you have been saying about Rosie. Stop acting like a two year old and get on with your life. I hope your show bombs this year so you realize that people won't put up with somebody being so unkind to another human being. Maybe what Rosie said wasn't right, but it's her opinion, and everybody is entitled to one. You have just blown this whole thing way out of proportion and made an ass of yourself in the process. Good going.

Well Trump you blew it. I will no longer watch you or your show. Your acting like a spoiled three year old. You behave in such a manner that we are lead to believe you only judge people on looks. You should truly look in the mirror before you start calling names. How many comedians have made fun of you and your hair for years and because she is a woman you act in this manner. I think its terrible that you would let Tara be an example for young girls everywhere. You must have been confused

The one thing I always admired about Mr. Trump is how open and honest he is. Sometimes he is blunt. But the fact of the matter is that he tells it like it is.

I get tired of shielded and generic comments that those in the public eye make. Mr. Trump doesn't pull any punches. If he likes a person or an organization, he makes it known. He is most flattering as a matter of fact. But if someone crosses him, look out!

Thank you Mr. Trump for keeping things real and to the point. You will always have a lifelong fan in me as well as my ultimate respect.

I think that your comments with respect to Rosie are terrible. Any respect I may have had for you is gone. On TV you sound as if you are whining and crying over the comments of one individual. In retaliation, you strike out at her relationships, intellect, and body without apparent thought to how it would impact how it made you appear or the impact on her family. You, sir, are the bully.

I hope you all read this. If Mr. Trump called this lady' a fat Slob is because she is definitely FAT and SLOB. Second for those who do not understand FAT as and adjective, he could have called her OBESE COW, but he never did. As far as success, NO ONE in this Blog, including myself, has the right to judge such a successful individual. I have been following Mr. Trump for years now, not only for his SUCCESSFUL show, which I find extremely interesting, considering the garbage that is out there. Mr. Trump got a huge state from his family that is correct' but he also built an EMPIRE, and these my friends can only be attributed to individuals with great talents and skills, a reference ALEXANDER MAGNUS . Please no not judge if you do not want to be judged. Rosie that is what you get!! However I would love to tell Mr. Trump, that I know is hard to remain silent when a sick lesbian judges you, however remember my friend That From the Silent Tree hangs the fruit of knowledge' Do not let this get to far she is not even worth it.

While I do think public fighting between celebs is a bit juvenile, high schoolish, I must say I laughed out loud when I heard Donald Trump's references to Rosie as a "fat slob", "loser", etc. In the midst of horrible news stories everyday, especially about the mid-east war and other atrocities, the Trump/Rosie saga was a breath of fresh air.

Rose has also been a disappointment in other regards, on the View she's a big mouth, her attack about the Kelly/Clay so called "homophobic" gesture was ridiculous. Now that's she's out everything has to be a homophobic issue?? She's ruining the View...not that it needed much help....and she is quite the big mouth about everything. So, thanks Donald for bringing some laughter and joy in to my life....also, the news anchors who are usually very sober...Anderson Cooper, Chris Matthews and a few others could hardly keep a straight face and in some instances laughed out loud at the story--

When you own a company, you make the final decisions.

How fortunate that there is still someone with enough heart and insight to give a 2nd chance to someone young enough to still make mistakes and have the courage to make the changes necessary to move on! A great lesson learned for Tara on Discretion.
As for Rosie - why waste your breath and stoop to that level?

In the final analysis Ones' Intentions and Motivations are what are important... let's hope that your instincts are on track and that Tara honors the chance given.

[-] Posted by Celestine Taylor on 01/09/2007 1:08 PM
I agree with you 250% Rosie O'Donnell is a hot mess. I often wondered why Barbara Walters would add such a negative personality to her team of what once was a powerhouse of women with great integrity, exemplary values, grace and elegance with high moral and ethical standards to be reduced to a JOKE to say the least. I think the View will vanish into the dark like a thief at night. I understanding keeping with diversity but this was just a bad idea...

Mr. Trump: I've watched all of the previous seasons of The Apprentice, but I will watch no more! Your responses to Ms. O'Donnell's comments are so nasty and mean-spirited, I am left wondering what kind of person you really are. You crave publicity, but can't take negative comments (even when they are mostly true). Show some class please. I learned when I was 5 not to negatively comment on things another person can't change - it's just mean and small. I hope your ex-wife raised your children with better manners and more restraint.

Hey Mr. Trump,
I would not waste my time even responding back to Rosie. She and all the woman on that dorkie show are a waste of energy. Who in their right mind would watch such a show anyways...when 4 individuals constantly talk at the same time. Their foolish commentary would drive anyone nuts. Rosie's obesity, potty mouth & immoral lifestyle has nothing to do with this.....she is just a rude individual with an inflated ego. Just put her on ignore!
[-] Posted by Rhett on 01/09/2007 1:19 PM

I can't stand Rosie and I agree with your assessment of her. I am happy also that you distinguished her from your criticisms of Martha, because they ARE indeed totally different. BTW...I liked Martha's show better than yours. Sorry!

However, all that being said, I think that your public criticism of these two women is diminishing your stature and makes you look freakish. It's not that you are making statements publicly, but you appear to be at war. I find that it doesn't become you, because you should be maintaining an "untouchable" persona. Clearly, you have been touched and Rosie is under your skin in a big way.

It was good to see your wife next to your side and have her back you up. That was a nice touch, actually.

I don't know, Donald, it wreaks of negative attention stabs at ratings before the new season. Barbara Walters probably did say everything you said, but your revealing it made her distance herself from you for self-preservation. She should have put the kabosh on Rosie responding to you on the View, however. Since Barbara can't control Rosie, my opinion of her has diminished also.

It's just like politics, the people don't like a lot of negative campaigning and attacks. You need to move forward in a positive way before the U.S. public says, "Donald, we're tired of you and your fired!" ;-)

Mr. Trump - Over the past couple of years I began to like you, alot. I grew to respect you and your business acumen. Your TV show was a bit over the top because of your obvious ego, but I still warmed up to you. HOWEVER, because of your recent comments regarding Ms. O'Donnell I really can't stand the egotistical sight of you on any type of media promotion you make. "Rosie" is an entertainer/ comedian who makes her money off of crticism, etc. This also occurs on the multiple late night shows that you frequent. Is it because she's a woman and you think you're the master of the universe when it comes to anything having to do with them particularly those under the age of 40? You are no stunner yourself despite what you think. Being who you are makes you an easy target of comment and criticism and frankly I think you get a kick out of it. What you said about her was very cruel and hurtful. No she's not very smart but she represents the somewhat unattractive type of person that walk the streets of our country. They survive the best the way they can; a little overweight, purchasing clothes at discount stores, struggling day to day to pay their bills and take care of their families. Rosie represents middle America and yes sometimes their opinion too. Well I've wasted my time even writing to you but this has gone too far. I represent a group of individuals whom are both my friends and co-workers. Let's get down to brass tacks and what middle American wants to say to you - you suck, get off your superior high horse and die you....
Sincerely,
R. Tobey

Rosie was being a hypocrite when she attacked your choice to give Tara a chance to get her life back on track. I do agree with you that Rosie attacked you and the young women because Tara is smart and attractive. Rosie should be ashamed of herself for trying to dismantle the career of a young women rather than acknowledging the wisdom you showed

ROFLMAO - Well, it is the height of insanity that a battle of words between a BILLIONAIRE and a COMEDIAN continues to be "news" for so long. Let's review: Combovers, comments on fat people, questions of feminism vs. anti-feminists, checking to see which celebrity has the most clout and can get the highest TV ratings, trying to figure out if somebody should get a second chance in a friggin' beauty pageant post, discussions about underage drinking, etc. etc. etc. I don't think that any of this is so much a commentary on whether THE DONALD or THE O'DONNELL is in the right as it is a commentary on how strange the populace of Americans are in their embracing of this nonsense and discussion. Oh crap! Now I've posted a comment! ;-) All the best, The Prophet Willy (speaker for the common sense "god" M.A.R.V.I.N.â„¢ - Mankind's Accumulated Revelations Verified Intellectually and Naturally).

My personal opinion is that your quite media laden responses in what were baseless comments has added too much fuel to what was an insignificant fire.

You did the right thing giving the girl a second chance with rehab attached. Who cares what Rosie O Donnell has to say?

I think it is degrading to your image to respond further to an issue too many people are rubbernecking over.

I would think being one of the richest and succesful men in the world is enough without projecting this megalomaniac image.

Frankly, I don't even understand why you waste your time on the Apprentice. I don't like the show in the least and I wouldn't make the cut, but I assure you, I wouldn't be sucking up to stay in your graces in a manipulative and contrived environment.

Obviously not matter what a topic is on, someone will always disagree with another person. Rosie is looking for attention, how do you get that attention ? Target the first man associated with big business - Donald Trump. Anyone who has a "household name" and directs any negative comment at someone well known will always make news. Take away there names, take away there fame - you know what you are left with ? An argument you will have or comment you have said or someone has said to you in the past. So whats the last thing to be said - who cares what Rosie says, one persons opinion about someone else's judgement call in something they have no involvement with. Feel like I'm in highschool again, mind your business - I'll see you at 2nd period Rosie...

donald, i subscribed to your newsletter with the hope i would learn something about business and finance. i actually planned to take one of your courses.

that will not happen now. i will unsubscribe today.

i will probably not watch the view either.

with all the important issues in the news for prople to consider, this thing with you and rosie is just an unpleasant distraction from war, politics and current events,in hope of publicity.

this is just the worst of all the personal messages you have wasted my time with including your articles on sexuality, drugs, religion and your views on other problems in our society.

i don't need a real estate man to tell me what to think about such things. i leave that to philosophers, ministers and politicians to influence me.

I think you are right. Rosie is a big slob and a bully. There is some kind of weird Hollywood mafia that wants to have total control of our culture and how we think. It was not that long ago when actors were seen in the same social level as horsethiefs and prostitutes. Any money you made you made

It is amazing to see the different perceptions that are playing out on this page. This is proof positive that people do NOT see things the same way, no matter what the topic. And it also proves that people will get mad over anything. You could be standing downtown handing out FREE $20 bills to people passing

All you fat people that are taking offense to Mr. Trumps comments about fat Rosie, need to look in the mirror and loose some weight. It boggles my mind how people seem to not be able to see their own faults. If you're fat and you don't like people saying you're fat.....LOOSE WEIGHT! His comments were not anything that was against her appearance that she was born with. She is a fat slob and has no self-control. Don't be mad at Trump because he's calling it like it is......Trump needs to be something done to his head......but Rosie is a mess.....a fat low life that should not have been allowed to screw up children's lives.....she is always attacking and criticizing people because she is a miserable disjusting wobbling diaster. The view will be another statistic in a few months. The show, just like Rosie, does not add any value to society! Barbara I used to admire you, now you are in the same boat as the fat one!
[-] Posted by Jim on 01/09/2007 2:01 PM
Well Mr. Trump... All I can say is that you summed it all up in four words "She's been a loser."

As you spoke the truth there and all the best to you and your business! Also, if Rosie can hate, then this tells you what kind of person she actually is, do we hate our competitors? I would not think so, because if we hated our competitors we would not be in business today. I have in time, learned that hating is a word of no self-confidence at all. Where she is for one a backstabbing and conniving individual, she is just a total mess in my own opinion, you supersede her

I am disappointed in you, Donald. As a mother of three, I have worked very hard to teach my children the importance of following the law. Underage drinking is a huge concern, yet, you feel that it is OK for someone that young girls look up to, to break the law. How do I explain to my teenage daughter that it is OK for Miss USA to drink and face no consequences, and have my daughter not think it is OK? It is OK to disagree with Rosie on this, but personal attacks are never OK. You show has always been a hit at my house, but probably not this year, as, once again, you have helped me to teach my kids a lesson. Bullies never win.
[-] Posted by Dave on 01/09/2007 2:04 PM
Let's get all this straight. First, I *AM* a Donald fan, and think Rosie has a way too high opinion of herself for only a marginally talented person. She was a decent stand up comedian, and her talk show was not too bad, but she got so full of herself, and ventured out into arenas where she had no business being, and hurt herself badly, and rather than try to fix it, says, "yeah, uh-huh, I meant to do that" and still stands

Yet another excuse for fat people all over the country to take offense and blame their weight on somebody else. The truth is Rosie opened her mouth first. She is a monkey on that show; they feed her and she spits out garbage. The man has every right to defend himself, and he can go as far as he wants, period. To all the fat people out there, stop watching re-runs of their arguments on TV, put down your 3rd helping of Leane Cuisine, and get some exercise. He directed his truthful fat comments at her, not at you. If you take offense to that, kill two birds with one stone: walk it off. You have every right to ban The Apprentice, but it won't stop Mr. Trump from building luxury condos on your property in the near future. Donald, cheers to you sir. Way to stand up for yourself. It's good to see that America, the obese, malnurished, materialistic, severely in debt society that we are, hasn't lost it's total edge.

[-] Posted by Jacqueline on 01/09/2007 2:21 PM
Mr. Trump, I am completely in agreement with your comments on Rosie. I don't see how anyone can side with her, although I find it quite interesting that those who do side with her are clearly of the lower echelon, many are also fat. . . oh, are we supposed to say 'heavy'? That's ridiculous, our world has become too PC to the point of hiding behind the truth and/or not acknowledging things or people for what they truly are. Rosie's attacks on you are no different than her past attacks on Joan Rivers - sure she's had a lot of work done, but even for her age, she looks better than Rosie ever had, and Rosie has to criticize because not even Extreme Makeover can re-do Rosie. I always wondered if Rosie has any mirrors in her house because perhaps if she looked at herself she'd think twice about criticizing others who she would be lucky to look like or be like. Rosie is an angry, crude, arrogant, unlady like woman. She seems to thrive on being mean, and she IS unattractive inside and out. It is so bizarre for her to be critical of anyone when she has nothing going for her. The View's ratings are up because people are curious (although I won't watch it), we all know there are things some people love to hate. It's the curiosity factor. And yes, she's FAT. Her defenders are fellow fatties, and/or low class people. I'm tired of hearing the fat ones complain about being looked at funny or talked about. If they are so bothered, why don't they just take better care of themselves, not eat like pigs and try to show some class. It was also ironic that some news stories said your children joined the attack. . . excuse me, but a defense is not the same as an attack. As for apologies, Rosie started it, she was out of line, as she usually is, she was immature, and gross, (what was the "sit and spin" comment about, sounds like that's what she does "sit and spin" like some demonic creature from the exorcist - she needs to be exorcised!). So, yes there are some people on Rosie's side, but they are of similar common element and like to side with someone like themselves since they can't come close to the professionalism and social class of Donald Trump! Finally, why hasn't anyone addressed the irony of Rosie's criticizing Mr. Trump's personal life, when SHE HERSELF is HAVING an AFFAIR with Kelly! They're NOT MARRIED, she's living with her, they're having an AFFAIR. Those living in glass houses like Rosie, should not throw stones. Rosie needs to think before she opens her big fat mouth. We need to pity her, as she's the one with the problem! It's sad to see someone so full of anger and negativity. I hope you can sue her, someone needs to stand up to her, she's disgusting. I was also very impressed with how you put Meredith Vierra in her place when she turned your Apprentice interview into a Rosie discussion. She can be pretty arrogant herself, but you came right back at her and she deserved that. Keep saying what you think, Mr. Trump.

Mr trump, a bit of advise from my Dad. "Always consider the source before responding" If the resource is someone you respect, then respond; if it isn't, it's not worth the precious time or effort to say anything. Just hand her the rope, Rosie will do fine without any more help from anyone towards hanging herself.
[-] Posted by John Warren on 01/09/2007 2:22 PM
Mr. Trump, I tip my hat that you cam back at Rosie for her comments. I too think she is a slob and I have written to Barbara Walters about this. GOT NO RPLY>
Whay Barbara devends the actions of this woman is beyond me. I really thought Barbara was a classy lady and way above this type of a person. I use to watch the view YES EVEN A MAN CAN WATCH IT< I do not not any more because of Rosie. She makes me feel ill when I see her and even worse when she opens her dirty mouth. Now back to you sir. You are succesful many times over, you have had troubles, but you keep climbing up the ladder and I applude you for that. You are a fighter. Which brings me to my comment. As a fighter you certainly are in the heavy weight class. WHT WAST YOUR TIME taking on a lite weight. I am ashame of you that you let this nothing under your skin so much. Fight back YES but do it with the class you know you have Make her look so foolish and not add fuel for her come backs. The public in large knows what Rosie really stands for LET IT GO. She is not worth a moments second thought from you. Hope you do get to read this. Thanks

Mr. Trump..as a fellow New Yorker, born and bred, I ask you to not waste your energy on Rosie. She is highly obnoxious, has destroyed the ambience and content of THE VIEW (and I have deleted it from the FEW programs I watch.) I for one, am SICK TO DEATH about hearing about her lifestyle choices(am not anti-gay but do not want it shoved down my throat everyday)Pleas do not judge people on the way they look. Do not go down to Rosie's level. You have better channels for your energy.

PLEASE take the high road if you continue to take this on. Negative personal references (ie... appearance, failures, etc.) were really unnecessary and took everything out of the "business" perspective. Keep the pageants and pageant participants on the high road

Mr. Trump, I believe that you have handled the Rosie situation with the kind of honesty and vigor that was called for. I fully agree that she has a history of bullying her opinions on the world for far too long. Truthfully, had she not used her sexual preference as a tool for gaining public support, none of us would ever have to have heard any of her insanity. I am so glad that you had the moxie to stand up to her and show the world that we can speak our minds in this great country still even with the polically correct constantly trying to silence the opinions of anyone that speaks their minds. Horray for Freedom of speach and horray for Donald Trump!
[-] Posted by CruznOz on 01/09/2007 2:30 PM
You were right to fight back up until you focused on her personal appearance. Debates or disagreements are good as long as you focus on the primary subject. When you have nothing left but to attack a person's appearance, you have lost. I will miss watching the apprentice but have lost too much respect for you as a person to continue to support your efforts.

This is for Mr. Trump,

I've just finished your book, "The America We Deserve". Very impressed. Why did it take so long for me to read it? I guess I've been preoccupied. Anyway, it was great and I would agree with most everything you had to say. Now the question is, you can talk the talk, but can you walk the the walk? You said you would and could run for president. All I hear these days is another pundant signing up to "explore" the run. My advice to you is get out there and run. I don't think you'd be surprised at how many people are looking for a savior.

Keep the high ground, and don't back down. You have a large following on your side from all of the comments I have heard. In fact I have not heard one comment against you (in personal conversations). The only negative comments seam to be coming from the "carpet-munching" crew, and they are just as vile and disgusting.
It is disheartning to see such a disgusting person given a public platform to spue her hatred. I have lost all respect for Barbara Walters with her decision to bring this vile person back on television.
Good luck Mr. Trump, we are definitly on your side, THANK YOU!

Pure genius on The Donald! He sees an opportunity and runs with it! Free press for him ... and even more when Rosie responds! Marketing makes the world go round, ladies and gentlemen! Donald and Rosie are doing very well because of this "disagreement." :) And for the record, I happen to like both Donald and Rosie. Both obviously have what it takes to be successful! My guess is you'll see both on a Saturday Night Live episode during "Sweeps" period next time around.

We don't watch The View anymore since she started.

Mr. Trump, This comment is not about you or Rosie or Miss America. It is about good old fashion morals & living & doing the right thing. MR. Trump I have first hand experience with the problems of substance abuse. The worst thing in the world you can do is remove the level of accountability from the abuser and reward them regardless. There have been other pagent winners that suffered dearly for their wrong choices but they had to pick themselves up.They had to face the music not alone but alone. THis young lady for whatever mistakes she has made she should be held accountable for them. Cleaning her up is not going to work. She has to clean herself up. You must look into the future of the drawbacks of giving rewards when a person does not deserve them, especially when it comes to substance abuse. You will see down the line that rehab or no rehab....not until the abuser takes a stand on there own will any program work. We can support them but they must first realize what all the end results will be before we reward them for doing something they know is not going to cut it. The example you have set with your decision is going to give you nightmares later on in life. There are going to be other young ladies that will not internalize what you have done the right way and before you know it they will have the same excuse. I am not saying the the young lady should be stoned but you have to set boundaries and stand firm on them, regardless of who the person is . The life lesson you have presented to this young woman is surely going to hurt future contestants & especially her. She should have her crown taken & given the opportunity to try again only with proven sobriety & remorse & accomplishment. The example she is setting (and you) for future young women and this type of pagent is a proven fact that IT DOESN'T WORK. THis country is filled with programs for people , especially the privilegded ($$$) people that they can make a minor adjustment in a bad situation and everything is peachy creamy(only on the outside). Mr Trump it is not what's up from that counts! I watch your show & get your emails but this decision leaves me thinking........Are you taking a look at what is happenning around you. You have the funds & connections to do something about this craziness...be a part of the solution not the problem...You've done amazing things with the time God has Blessed you on this earth...you've come a long way and I don't think it was easy at all money or no money but ....Mr, Trump you've got to pay attention to the reality of certain things that could effect a lot of people. Unless the media is playing this up too much.....That girl should have family support, the love in her heart that God Loves her and no crown is going to change the reasons for the problems she has with substance abuse. All of this should have been investigated .....Mr. Trump. Thanks for your time, JDG

this comment is joy, who made a comment on 08/01/2007. Mr. trump didn't fire Carolyn, she left to work with Mircosoft. Mr.Trump is defending his character, Abe Lincoln once said "any man can over come adversity, but if you want to test ones character give him power". Rosie has abused her power, and she said the wrong thing to the wrong guy, if I was in Mr.Trump's shoes I would take her to the cleaner. I would say good luck Mr. Trump but you don't need it. Have a good one. Sincerly Chris

I get a bigger charge from the Rosie-ite comments, than from the article. Rosie attacked, Trump stood up to her crap and He's the bad guy? Come on...what would you do? Take it? Someone hits you, you hit back twice as hard. Basic anti-bully, Sun Tzu stuff otherwise you end up being someone else's low-level punk.

So far I have not heard any thing good about Rosie, so all my respects to you and thanks for all your advice from the book: "Why we want you to be rich" You are rich in money and soul. Thanks and may God Bless you and all your family.

Donald is absolutely correct, Rosie is a loud mouthed loser bully that has less intelligence and tact than a drunken sailor on shore leave. She needed to be put in her place. I commend you Mr Trump.

Rosie is mean spirited and started the entire exchange. Rosie truly is a loser and I'm glad Trump took a stand. The less Rosie speaks the less she appears stupid.

Before I sat down to write this I read a good number ofthe comments. And what I'm seeing is a good number of people blasting Mr. Trump for a comment he made about one person's weight as if it was ment for everyone. What I fail to see is the point. Last year a woman atempted to sue her doctor because he infomed her that her weight problem was a health hazard. At no time have I ever heard Mr. Trump insult a group of people. one person maybe, but not a group. I also have seen no evidence that Mr. Trump is trying to be a moral compass for anyone. What he has done is given a young lady a great oportunity, and when she had a problem, helped her. For this he is being villified?. Comments have been mad about how giving Ms. O'Donnell's giving nature; does anyone remember the state New York was in when Mr. Trump started?
I will agree with one thing. Mr. Trump, at this point it would serve you best to not say another thing. Let Rosie dig a hole and you can site quietly away from the edge, and lelt her look for her own way out. And not drag you into the hole and climb out

Good Morning Mr. Trump;
So "Rosie, The Riveter" is at it again . . . and the Allies have sent their planes skyward to meet the threat of "The View's" Red Barron. Even her acting in "Sleepless in Seattle" was unimpressive and nearly forgotten. When will it end?? I can only hope that the Donald Trumps of the world respond accordingly to her future attacks until she heeds the words -- and not live in "glass houses." Thanks for listening and keep the professional quality of "The Apprentice" always higher than "The View."
[-] Posted by Jen D. on 01/09/2007 3:15 PM
Hats off to Mr. Trump for confronting Rosie. She is way out of her league when it comes to Trump and his team. I am not a fan of The View, but it's obvious Rosie lowered the "class" level when she joined the show. Too bad it's all about the ratings race and we all know that "look at me" people like Rosie will invite controversy and that brings viewers, be it good or bad.
Good luck Mr. Trump.. I think we've not hear the last of her.

Mr. Trump

I think your a very intelligent man. You have lowered yourself to Rosie's standards with your verbal bashing. This is very easy to do when someone is attacking your character--believe me I know from personal experience. I too, thought you should have fired Miss USA, but after reading your reasoning I have had second thoughts on that as well. I love your show the apprentice and even though family in business self owned or otherwise can pose a conflict of interest and a whole issue around business ethics, I think your daughter is very bright and possess'alot of your characteristics.

[-] Posted by Joe Donnelly on 01/09/2007 3:22 PM
Mr. Trump, for shame. To say that you believe in second chances, and go on how many episodes of The Apprentice and jump on anyone making an error in judgment and 'firing' them? Really. And if Tara was just an employee of your organizations, and to get into your head space, wasn't attractive, would she have gotten a second chance? Quite doubtful. If you're going to critique, critique the actions, and do not attack the person, their physicality. That is an attack of someone who can't think of any better argument. Now, with that said, you certainly have the right to say and write whatever you want, and I too will exercise my right, and unsubscribe from your sites, and email lists. All the best with your battle. What a waste.

I don't advocate what either person said, but, You know, Donald, it's one thing to be a businessman, it's another to be a coward yourself. The Americans look up to you as the ultimate business model, but you have just tarnished your public image and you will be paying for your childish behavior. People will remember what you said forever, and that's your biggest downfall. If you think you're so great, why don't you be a professional and not react to Rosie? This will not go far. You have ruined your image with half of America and you will see it reflected on your financial statements eventually. You think you're brave, no, you're the big mouth, you're the bully. I would not have given Miss America a second chance because she is clearly not a role model for young women in this country. This is your downfall, Don, you made a bad mistake. This is going to haunt you for the rest of your public life. You like to flaunt, but this time, you went too far.

I am truly disappointed at how Mr. Trump handled Rosie's comments. I tried to stay neutral because I enjoy both Rosie and Trump. However as far as Miss USA...she should have turned in her crown. As Miss USA I believe she should have integrity and common sense...setting the highest example for others to follow. She couldn't handle it. She does not represent the pageant well. Yes Rosie is outspoken but the Donald acted outrageous.
I listened to him on the O'Reily factor.
This hit quite a nerve with him and he has acted totally inappropriate. What a disappointment.

Why should Mr. Trump have to take insults just because he is famous? If Rosie wants to play with the big boys, she's going to have to learn how to deal with the big boys.
I remember seeing where Johnny Carson was really sticking it to Wayne Newton some years back. Wayne cornered him up and told him to knock it off. I think that conversation proved benificial.

This whole Rosie O'Donnell issue really seems to be blown out of proportion and I am shocked that either of you would have stooped to such a low level. I applaud you Mr. Trump for your belief in giving people a second chance, because I am of the same belief. But the back and forth nasty comments between you and Rosie seem pretty childess. I didn't like Rosie when she had her talk show. I would catch a few minutes now and again. I continued to tell my wife she was fake and hiding something, my wife didn't agree. We'll we all know what it was. Seems a portion of the public has given Rosie a 2nd chance. Why not Tara? As far as firing back; I think everyone should read or listen to How to be Rich. In this book, he outlines his struggles with the Miss America pageant, and he has a few other nuggets about when someone screws you, and holding a grudge. I say Donald is a brilliant man.
As far as the weight remarks from Donald and from other posters, it's a matter of pride and self-respect. Draw your own conclusions.

Dude are you serious! Rosie left her show, she wasn't fired. So what if her magazine flopped at least she tried and she filled in on a Broadway show. Charity wise, what have you ever done with any of your money? I never hear anything about that. Miss USA is supposed to be someone to admire and look up to and respect. What's to respect about someone who drinks their butt off, sticks her tongue down Miss TEEN USA's throat...let me repeat that...sticks her tongue down Miss TEEN USA's throat and then has the audacity to basically mock the fact you put her in rehab. Wasn't her response something like "you never pass up anything free". Way to go Tara aka MORON. And oh yeah, now she's going to pose in Playboy. Excuse me but didn't Vanessa Williams lose her crown for doing the same thing. Donald...shut your mouth please. I'm losing respect for you every passing minute. You are the one going on EVERY SINGLE show you possibly can to talk about this. She took a crack at your hair, so what, it's bad and you know it. You mock it yourself. She knew the rules. Leniency is not extended to others with failings so why her particularly? Rules are only rules when they are consistently enforced. Dear Mr. Trump, Firstly, I respect what you have done with your life. Though I don't agree with Rosie on everything, certainly I agree with some of what Rosie has brought to our gender as women. Clearly, her message is deeper than a personal attack on Ms. USA. Latently, she is saying the title itself represents minimizing womens' value as a total person, escalating the physical appearance is primary. Most men cannot understand what I am saying, as the genes simply seek feminine beauty. However, I attempt to present this to you, as I wish to give you the benefit of the doubt, much as you did, Ms. USA. To be sure...if anyone has any issues with Ms. USA...they are errant, as alcoholism is a disease! If they do not like what she stands for, or represents, that's their choice. I am so glad, however that you gave her a second chance, as...it's not "messing" up. Many young people find out in just the way she did, that they cannot drink, or take any other recreational drugs...and luckily, they find out before they end up ruining their whole lives. It's a serious disease. I am a widow, who has studied nursing, alcoholism & drug addiction, and mental health. At age 23, I also had an issue with alcohol. At the time...I felt I was not a woman with this disease...as I'd heard the horrible stories of older people. I had not gone into bars, taken street drugs, etc., etc. It was simple, however, I'd undergone the death of my mom, and some terrible issues, and I guess in an attempt to not commit suicide (frequent cause of women's alcoholism)...I never had one drink. I've had treatment, and never really desired it since. I'm grossly oversimplifying things now. However, perhaps you do not understand the significance of what you DID do. You helped a yound LADY who may, at this time, only be a problem drinker/substance abuser....with a disease which could kill her. It is progressive. You helped to save her life. You did not give her a second chance...??? This is almost like saying I'm giving this person with cancer, a second chance. It's more like...you saved her life. It is a disease that takes many lives, and affects many, many more. It is not MORAL. Rosie was so wrong to use this lady, and degrade her, for an ILLNESS. However, she was trying to say something bigger...we're all worth more than what we look like. God loves us all the same. Hard to believe, huh, Sir? Winks. I feel bad for Ms. USA, and no one seems to get it. She's not a thing, she's not good, or bad,...she's a human being, who you are more than correct, has a lot going for her. She is young and has a KILLER DISEASE. End of story. There is treatment. It's very treatable. Never give up on an alcoholic....if you care. As far as criticism of anyone here...I'm also not extremely religious, but it does say in the bible..."let he who is without sin, cast the first stone...". That's the name of that tune. I would respond appropriately if I were you, and educate the american public. Morality is not involved in cancer, why would it be in alcoholism? You are in the position to influence, and educate, Sir. Educate Rosie...it's awesome to say what you mean, and you can make yourself look a lot better,
[-] Posted by Tim Parsons on 01/09/2007 4:21 PM
Kudos for Mr. Trump giving a person a second chance. Everyone has made mistakes in his/her life and it is a side of Mr. Trunp, a compassionate side, I admire. To give a confused young girl some hope and continue to chase her dreams and goals. We need more people in powerful positions like Mr. Trump. He could have damaged this young womans ego and reputaion for life. Some people care about how they look and try not to offend other people. Apparently, fame and fortune has diminished some people's character and moral standards, not to mention to bring out some jealousy as well........

I am in full agreement with Mr. Trump on what he has said about Rosie and why. First of all, who is she to tell someone else, anyone else how to run their business, especially someone like Donald Trump. I think what Mr. Trump is more upset about this whole situation is that Rosie tried to symbolize him as one with bad character. No one who does such a job as Mr. Trump could ever be symbolized as someone with no morals. If so, he would'nt have all these fantastic properties and other venues across the world. Rosie, "sit and spin on that my friend." As for Mr. Trump, congradulations on the sixth season. I watched the first episode, it was remarkable, REMARKABLE!

What's done is done. Get on with life and focus on the important things that bring value and worthwhile meaning to your life like giving someone a second chance so that maybe that person will see the value of their own life (which others see) and pass the favor on to another somewhere down the road! Now focus on the REAL THING...I imagine anyone touched

Since Mr. Trump owns the Miss America pagent, he has the perogative to discipline the Queen any way he sees fit. More of us should be so gracious to give our fellow human being a second chance. As for his rebuke of Rosie, although she started the fire storm and Mr. Trump fired back, again, discretion would have been the greater part of valor, BUT, in TV land, being real dosen't sell air time. Sensationalism does; got you all to post your views.

Dear Mr. Trump

Thank you for your inspiring, characteristic courage and candor in criticizing Rosie O'Donnel, in my opinion one of the modern era's greatest threats to the sustenance of the traditional American family and conventional values. You, to me, represent not only what America evokes--success, guts, perseverance, intelligence, frankness, and determination--but also that to which this nation must return: conservatism in all its aspects. You are one of the greatest of us leading that charge.

Dear Mr. Trump,
My hats off to you. Over the years Rosie has bashed and humiliated anyone she feels like. No one else has had the gall to stand up to her. She thinks she is funny but to me she is sickening. If someone does not think or agree with her ways, she is mean, mean, mean!!!!
I bet Barbara W. really gets tired of being the Mom saying "my kid wouldn't do anything wrong". All I see is Rosie messing up and Barbara has to come on the air making excuses and apologizing for Rosie. I would really get tired of that.
Thanks for listening,
Brenda D.

Mr. Trump~
Let me just say, "Your response to Rosie surprises me." Believe me, this is in no way intended to get on your "good side" any success I enjoy will be the result of my own talents/hard word, sucking up has never been something that I aspire to.
Anyway, you are indeed in a league all your own, you're brilliant and you don't need to defend yourself to anyone, ever!
It seems to me that this sort of behavior is beneath you, I have always pictured you as someone with far more class than that.
Not that my opinion matters, just food for thought...

Dear Mr. Trump.
I agree with you that Rosie is a very annoying poor representative of the woman in America and should never be on the view. Her philosophy on life is worthless. She is a very bad example for the woman of America and he fact that she is on t.v. is pathetic I cant believe it. What I do want to say is that I am a Roman Catholic and watch EWTN every day. It is a Roman Catholic station. There are so many liberals who have really destroyed the youth of America and left us open to be victimized

I agree with Mr. Trump (and I am a plus sized women) Rosie is a bully. I can't believe they've allowed her on the view. She constantly fires off with the mouth and she got what she deserved. She did the same to Star Jones. She's not a kind person at all and definitly can't speak on morals either! I'm not a person that agrees with fighting fire with fire but she really had it coming.

Dear Mr. Trump - Thank you for letting Rosie have it. You were being a nice guy, giving a young woman with a problem a second chance. She should have PRAISED you for this, not used it as an excuse to insult you and launch a personal attack. There are ways of disagreeing with someone without making it PERSONAL. She is a mean spirited, angry woman who hates men. This is not the first time she has pulled a stunt like this. I remember how, several years ago, on her show, she was very rude to Tom Selleck, who is a gentleman. Good for you for not letting her get away with talking trash. She had it coming!

I doubted you could top yourself in terms of self-involved and borish behavior after you tried to take ownership of the phrase "You're fired," a phrase already in common use and which you certainly didn't originate. But, now you have outdone yourself with your juvenile insults of Ms. O'Donnell. I once watched The Apprentice and found it mildly entertaining. Additionally, consulting with people in your organization with business experience gave it credibility. Now, you look to children with less experience than the contestants they are judging for advice. So, for this TV viewer, you're fired. Ratings indicate I'm not the only one who were turned off

Mr. Trump - kudos to you for defending yourself and identifying Rosie for what she truly is, a loser with no class and a bad sense of humor. Really, who gave her the right to question your decisions regarding Tara Conner? I think it was a classy gesture on your part. I hate to see you in a mud slinging war with someone that really doesn't deserve your attention, negative or not; however, sometimes you must stand up against the bully and I believe you've handled it as best as it could be handled under the circumstances. Based on what transpired at The View, it won't be long before Rosie's current endeavor tanks like all her previous ones. Her next failure will be her relationship with Kelly. Oh, one more thing from West Palm Beach, FL - YOU 'DA MAN!

Mr. Trump,

I have to admit I am not a big fan of television and never really follow what the celebs are doing. However, I have been attentively watching this. That thing attacked what you are proud of. What you worked so hard for. Once again you show your human side even if some of the things you said were a bit ugly. I would have said worse. People who aspire to be winners and do the right thing admire you. People who are unhappy with themselves and their less than mediocre accomplishments admire Rosie because that is what she represents. In my opinion her false comments about you being bankrupt are slanderous, especially for someone in your line of business. Who I am I to give you advice, but give her the silent treatment from now on and destroy her in court.

I beg of you to stop talking of Rosie. I agree with every comment you have said about her, but every time I see her picture I don't feel well. I guess it is because I have not been working out as much and when I see her I think it is time to get on the treadmill. Maybe this is a good thing because I have raised the incline on my treadmill!!!! Who knows, your feud might inspire America "To work out or you to might look like Rosie (inside and out)!"
[-] Posted by Gary on 01/09/2007 5:27 PM
Dear Donald, Rosie, has been obnoxious from day one (1). What she did to Tom Seleck was in poor dumb taste.

Here is your next comment(s) to say to her:

1. " I would like to say that you are nothing but a Fat Ugly Dike on a Bike" but I cannot say that! You are too fat to ride a bike!

2. If you were a guy and obviously you wished you were: you would still have a fat ugly face and a disgusting body. You would probably have even a harder time finding a mate!

I think enough is enough now. Are you going to sue all these folks who have posted here telling you how wrong you are for the public behavior you have recently displayed? I have watched every season of the Apprentice but I will no longer be viewing the show because I cannot believe that a man whom I looked up to and respected has behaved so childishly to keep this fued going. I'm a plus sized woman who is very disappointed in you as a human being. All my life I've struggled with weight and to watch you publicly humiliate this woman for her physical attributes is horrific. It's men like you that give us the low self esteem that goes with being over weight. Shame on you, I certainly hope you never have to battle a weight problem yourself or that anyone in your family doesn't either.

Show her and her gang of immorals who the better man/person is. DO NOT STOOP TO HER LEVEL. As you always have been, stay 1 step higher than her. The View has lost this viewer after all the Rosie tirades and her pro homosexual agenda. You on the other hand will always have me as a viewer and purveyopr of your books.

WOW, did this spark a controversy, look at all these polarized comments...love you Trump, hate you Turmp. This is TV guys and these are TV personalities, let them do their thing. Meanwhile Mr Trump I will remind you that in business when a man takes on a woman he never looks good, even when he's right. Tread lightly and be graceous. A heavy stance againt a woman has never appealed to the public, we have no stomach for it. Attach back twice as hard..yes.. but I say this works best vs. men. This does not work vs. women. I agree with your method of addressing attacks. I am a woman and so I can fight twice as hard towards both sexes, but in my experience a man should not do the same. If a man attacks you yes fight back twice as hard. If a woman attacks you, show grace. It is the gentlemanly thing to do. Women do not like to see another woman being attached and most men do not have respect for it. This is what is causing the backlash. had you attacked a man back, no one would care. Rosie, no matter her background and strong demeanor is still considered a woman, and I say, take the gentlemanly route. This is the best course. Fight back yes, but maybe have your daughter handle it. A cat fight is always preferred. There are many women that like Rosie and she is a popular personality amongst women. Send your daughter to defend you, from what I have seen, she can take Rosie. That would be far better Television and tremendous fun. Send your daughter on the View and say to everyone else from now on that Ivanka will address that question and not you. have your daughter defend you, people will be wiping tears for months. This is great publicity for her, have her handle it.

I agree with "The Donald"! Rosie O'Donnell feels she can attach anyone with whom she has a difference of opinion. In the last couple of months alone she has attacked Kelly Ripa and now Donald Trump. Wrong answer! Mr. Trump is a seasoned veteran, both personally and professionally. Look at his track record. His financial accomplishments should be proof positive that he's a formidable opponent. Sorry Rosie, you should have thought twice about this one. You haven't been fired, you've been "Trumped".

Mr. Trump:

I always wanted to like you but you just show me why I think your ego is far bigger than your net worth. You find it difficult to act like a grown-up, like an adult. You ridicule people on your show for being "immature." People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. The fact that you have this insatiable need to attack people who are less than, even though they may be wrong, immature themselves or even mean spirited and you can't rise above that like a grown mature man is dispicable. You consider yourself a respected "businessman?" You act like a child and show that your really are thin-skinned and are not tough to let all this slide. Funny, you never see your real estate peers/competitors making tabloid news. They stick to their business an don't make a mockery of themselves. You are indeed a weak little cy-ba

I have never been one to email or comment on situations like this, however I feel compelled. In a society where we are aggressively trying to boost confidence in our children and each other your words make me sick to my stomach. The fact that Rosie made fun of your hair was unfortunate, however your interesting hair choice has been a well known joke amoungst Americans for some time. Are you telling me you have never come across the Tonight Show? But the point of this email is to say I realize I can't change you. I can't change ignorant and insulting people like you. But I can control myself, and I can control how I raise my son. I can make sure that he NEVER calls someone fat, or ugly, or a slob. I can ensure he has respect for others and respect for himself. That is the only way to drown out your voice and others like it. Good luck with your new Apprentice series, you will need it.

But I have a lot of respect for anyone like Mr. Trump who is willing to write (and say) exactaly what he thinks of someone so publically. A lot of people (in a respected public position like him and those who aren't) would not bluntly call someone a loser and then come out with a list of examples! It was very reasonable and thoughtful of Mr. Trump to give that young lady a second chance (that deservers even more respect) and I hope very much that everything goes really well for her!!

It was a breath of fresh air to see that Donald stood up to such a bullying person like Rosie O'Donnell. She has managed to put a lot of people off with her brash and crude mannerisms. I believe everyone deserves a second chance, and if you can give it to someone why not.

You have proven you can be reachable, and that is what show business is all about. Reaching out and showing you are human and caring. Alchol is a disease, and thus, Tara Conner deserves a chance at rehabiliation and recovery.

Way to go Donald Trump!!!

If it smells like a duck and it looks like a duck generally speaking it is a duck, and Rosie O'Donnell has ducked out of alot of problems because she is famous, now she has met her match. You showed her you won't be bullied or pushed around.

Good For You. Nice Beginning to 2007.

Thanks Shirley
[-] Posted by Karan on 01/09/2007 6:09 PM
Rosie's veneer is a thin one. It seems apparent that her angst over Miss USA's second chance was a reflection of her own insecurity and resentment of very attractive women. But if she spent all of her venom on (virtually defenseless)Tara Conner, she could be labeled a bully and might upset some AA people as well. I think her remarks were calculatedly directed at you. Since you were the facilitator of the second chance, are not a "friend of Bill's", & a very prominent person she could get abusive without seeming like a bully and without engaging the ire of feminine or AA advocates. All with the added benefit of a windfall of publicity. When you think about it, all her publicity is always driven

I really don't understand your reaction to Rosie's comments on the View. She is a comic...that is her job,she was being funny! Like many comics , her comedy has a social slant and she makes a point using humor. She was making a point about your judgement.
You have proved her point with your actions and reactions. The way you handled Rosie was crude and heavyhanded!
You have suprised my with your bullying ; I felt it was beneath you and am VERY disappointed! I thought you were a better man then that.

I'm 100% in agreement with Mr. Trump. Rosie hates any straight man or woman. She dresses sloppy, she looks like an ungroomed beast on the View. Who does her wardrobe? She needs allot of grooming. Mr. Trump don't let up let her, oh I meant him have it.

I agree with most of what Mr. Trump says about Rosie. There are so many bleeding heart liberal stars in Hollywood using their fame to preach their extremist views.Way more than a majority of people are opposed to homosexual marriage, and I don't want to have to listen to her preaching. It is nice to have someone fight back with her, as most Hollywood stars and most newscasters get away with extremely far out liberal rants and nobody can counter them.
I remember seeing years ago a clip of Rosies (cancelled) fluff-style talk show where Thomas Selleck was a guest star. Rosie was very nice to her other guests, but was very rude and nasty to Thomas Sellick (Magnum P.I. star in Hawaii)simply because he was a member of the National Rifle Association, as are about 4 million other citizens.Rosie would like to ban as many guns as possible, except for her bodyguards. She had a deal with KMart and commercials she did for it.She has bullied KMart to stop selling a lawful product to law abiding citizens (guns and ammo) in many states KMart stores.
Maybe Rosie and Mr.Trump should have a debate on the Fox News Network?
[-] Posted by tim mills on 01/09/2007 6:32 PM
I think Rosie should keep her big fat mouth shut. Yes, she has a big fat mouth and a body to match. D. Trump, everyone knows your the man so Rosie should stop trying to grow a penis. Loved ya on letterman the other day.

Don,
Truly, be kind here... are YOU, Trump, not bashing & slanderizing her with what YOU just wrote?! She could do the same to you over the statements here. How are you being the better one with statements like:
"I've known Rosie for a long time.

She's been bullying people for a long time"~Trump
PLEASE GROW UP! my GOD! if the wealthy can not play well then what hope is there left in for the rest of the world??? BOTH of you STOP the 2nd grade behavior it is not bring out the best~ Relax
I think a better way of writing your side would simply been better with compassion: Rosie made comments that was against giving a person a second chance. I am unsure what her motives would be in not wanting to assist a person to get their life in control, but we'll find out all this in court.
Now you are not bashing her and still got your point across without making you look like a "Richard Cranium", as I like to say!
Brightest Blessings,
K. Corinne Hickey

Rosie is a BIG MOUTH. She should look at Barbara Walters HAIR. Looks like Candy Floss to me. Maybe she should make fun of Barbara's awful hair! How about that! Her hair is WORSE than Donald's hair.

Hair is a very sensitive subject for most men and Rosie should look in the mirror from time to time.

Donals deserves credit for his hair. It's cool to me!

All you haters are losers just like that fat blimpe for even taking her side. He didn't diss overweight women, he was dissing just ROSIE (duh!) She was clearly in the wrong, for coming off with her She should just continue shoving some Big Macs down her wide throat and just shut the eff up, and all you bums who dissed the Donald should eat a fat one. I think you are right in 99% of what you did. You were right about giving Miss.USA a second chance, and that Rosie was worng to affend you. I do though think it is wrong to say unattractive on the outside. I agree with on the inside, trying to make someone sound bad, just for ratings, but to commant on someones outside is pretty harsh.
Still have all the respect for you in the world.

To Donald and all your fellow advisors (person that have their own thoughts on a envent, happening, idea etc.)
Today is a world where people speak their own mind (freedom of speech). What two people do toward each other, whether it be physical or mental or verbally, they must make amends or go their separate ways. The problem lies with everyone giving their own opinion. (I think this, I think that, Iam not going to do this or that, I am going to do this or that all because of what two other people did or said to each other. Get a grip and hope the best for Donald and Rosie, let them have their disagreement, let them have their fling, it ain't over until the fat lady sing. And as far as the fat lady thing, if you let that comment Donald made about Rosie bother you then you need to reasses your brain and outlook on life, do you really believe in your self if you do you would not have let a comment
[-] Posted by Cynthia on 01/09/2007 6:48 PM
Rosie vs Trump...obviously Rosie attacked Trump. A very bold move, but Rosie is out of her league. Both are very outspoken, but for different reasons. Rosie barks about people due to her own insecurities, and Mr. Trump speaks about his beliefs. When you challenge someone, what do you expect? Most of us can take a joke, but a personal attack is much different. Rosie received exactly what she deserved...long time waiting!!!

As far as Tara, Mr. Trump had every right to give her a second chance...don't we all wish we had that. Rosie has been given chance after chance, and she still fails. Many say times have changed in standards...Tara's actions would not have survived in years past, but just remember Rosie...in years past, lesbians or single parents were not able to adopted. What a great blessing that change has brought to you.

Lesson for Rosie: Bite and be bit.
Lesson for Trump: Not a lesson for Trump, but a lesson for all...stick up for yourself and don't back down.

I was a fan of the Apprentice but now would not think of turning it on. It seems from the ratings of your season opening that many people feel as I do.
Whether you like Rosie or not is irrelevant. She is a comedian. That's her job. I can't count how many times I have seen skits/jokes about your wives, hair, bankruptcies etc. on Jay Leno, David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, and more. Why is it that when an overweight, opinionated lesbian does the same you act like a vicious mad dog. Rosie is a comedian....and you are rich and famous...and that makes you fair game to her and every other comedian.
As a lesbian and a "fat" woman you have completely lost me as a viewer of Apprentice as I am certain is true for millions of viewers out there that are fat and/or a lesbian. (believe it or not, these folks also are your audience.) Your behavior has been vicisous and really about as cruel as I've ever seen other than on an elementary school play yard. Many of us fat, opionated, lesbians have heard the words you continue to use more times than we can count.
You have hurt many viewers with your clear disgust with "fat" people and your transparent and venomous dislike for lesbians. But I believe the future will show that you have hurt no one more than yourself.

Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell have both contributed much to others in their own ways. I agree with those who feel that Donald should have responded to Rosie's comments with "she's entitled to her opinion", instead of reacting in such a juvenile manner. To call anyone a "loser" is indicative of a lack of respect for those believed to be less fortunate than Donald has been.
[-] Posted by Brandon on 01/09/2007 6:53 PM
How could Rosie O'Donnell think she could attack the financial accomplishments of Donald Trump and not sound like an idiot? Her net worth is pocket change compaired to his. The only people upset about Donald's great retort are Rosie's fans, who are probably just as lazy, annoying and loud-mouthed as she is. Get off the couch ladies and do something with your life!

Donald Trump is scared of strong women. That's why he's distoring what Rosie said. She didn't like that he publicly humiliated a young woman, not the fact that he gave Ms. USA a second chance. That's why he fired Carolyn. That's why he picked a fight with Martha Stewart. He can't keep up with any of them, and the way he responds to Rosie proves it. Calling someone a loser, fat. Threating to break up her family. What lows.

Dear Mr Trump,
I agree with your comments on Rosie. She is a big mouthed flop in my eyes.
I also agree on giving somebody, who is down in his/her luck. But I entirely oppose to give someone like a "beauty queen" a second chance, a person, who supposed to be someone showing and having exclusive qualities and intelligence to pair with. Consequently, the reason of an argument came up on the subject, shows that Tara's qualities are not up to the standard to carry a crown of a beauty queen, as she is supposed to be an ambassador to how other young women should appoint themselves to carry a torch to be a beauty queen. You have a good judgement in general, but this time
your ego took over. Being the financier of this project, you had to have the upper hand, Rosie had been out of her territory here anyhow, made it worse for herself, and of course for Tara, as the beauty queen's sobriety got blowwn out of proportion worldwide. Rosie should not be doing the job she is,but nor should be a lady begin carrying her crown as a beauty queen in a rehab. (Although there are a lots of famous people there, who are good company, but they had done some of there good ambassadorship before they got there) Her job can not be done to it's full capacity in there. As the saying goes, she "she put the cart before the horse". Tara might be a beautyful person the way you know her, but a real role model she can not be to aspiring young women..
My kindest regards to you and your team.

Dear Donald Trump:

The reason I am writing this letter is because Tara Conner deserves a second chance matter fact everyone in America deserves a second chance when they fall from grace.

My pageant experience started in the late eighties with the Dick Clark Junior Show, then to the Elite Petite Pageants in Houston, Texas to the Freeman Production in Orlando, Texas late titled held was Ms. Texas Woman 2003.

It is wonderful that Tara Conner detected early that she had a drinking problem and through rebabilitation I am sure she will work everything out just fine and resume her normal active life style. We are all human beings and as hard as we try to be perfect we finally come to the realization that we are not and must do the best we can for eachother to make it and survive in this world. That was very nice of you to give Tara Conner a second chance because most of us in this tough world never get one.

It cannot buy friends, loyalty, trust or love. You have not only shown the entire world what an immature and insecure little man you are, but you have shown the world, including your business associates and so called "friends" that you cannot be trusted. You have backstabbed Barbara Walters in such a way that NOBODY will ever confide in you or trust you again. You are a disgusting example to our kids who now see you as scary and horrific and as a role model to our children, how dare you tell them to strike back when someone bullies you

I agreed with you in giving Miss USA a second chance. It was the right thing to do. However, I don't like what happened after that. The personal attacks of Rosie against you and you against Rosie are unnecessary. I think you should both look at where you agree and respect each other's right to disagree where you disagree. For instance, you are both big supporters of New York, broadway and people doing good things for others. Both you and Rosie would agree we need more people in this world like the subway hero. You both could choose a peaceful coexistence and even a harmonious coexistence given what you have in common. I really like both of you and the fact that you do both care about others and do so many good things for New York and for America in general. Thanks for letting me comment on this.

Mr. Trump, You are excatly right that Rosie acts like a "bully" and I am on your side with your other comments. I like the View show, but hate that Rosie is on it. I hate that she shoves her gay'ism on the viewers. It's also sad to see Joy sit with her tail between her leggs because she is forced to put up with Rosie. I like Joy and wish she would stick up to Rosie like you have. As far as BW goes...I recognized her lie when it happened with Star. Rosie always makes comments about "delicious" looking guys, if I were a male, I would vomit, actually I like to vomit when she talks about her relationship with K and how she sleeps naked. The site is enought to make you wanna vomit. Keep up your good work on the shows. I like your daughter's business style.
[-] Posted by unknown on 01/09/2007 7:50 PM
Mr. Trump:

I appreciate your stand in allowing Tara a second chance; although I do not believe she understood the initial responsibility of the role. Tara seems to want to live up to it now. Hopefully she will be able to come to a sound resolve for herself, get clarity of the importance and move forward to be an outstanding role model. As for Rosie, no comment necessary the obvious has been sadly, nationally televised. In my opinion, the choice is very unfortunate for The View and depletes its class and stature in network ratings.

As for YOUR show, I'm a real estate sales associate in NJ and never miss an episode! The Apprentice is brilliant and entertaining; and your daughter is quite refreshing and obviously intelligent in her own right. People in general, usually pave the path they ultimately end up in. No matter where they were educated or took center stage. I am not interested in the dump. So I'm with Trump! Pun intended! No need to stoop because you're at the top. Stay there…Best Wishes. DM.

Mr. Trump: Hats off to you for sticking to your guns and supporting Ms. Connor through this very public ordeal. Rosie O'Donnell is a loud, obnoxious, hog, who has forgotten where she came from and that people deserve a second chance, regardless of their looks, ethnicity, religion, or earnings. I hope that this matter can be resolved quickly and quietly, although considering the source (Rosie), that is doubtful. I wish you luck and look forward to continued enjoyment of The Apprentice.
[-] Posted by Vivian Drabic on 01/09/2007 7:52 PM
Mr. Trump,Congratulations for having the guts to stand up to Rosie. After the first two days of Rosie on The View, I had to stop watching the show. She's loud-mouthed, rude, brash, insulting, abrasive and obnoxious. She has ruined The View. I had actually lost respect for the cast and producer of The View when they ousted Star Jones the way they did. But allowing Rosie to take over the show was the last straw. Doesn't ABC/Disney/Barbara Walters care that she insults most of the guests on The View? No matter who's talking, she flaps her big mouth so loudly the audience can't hear anyone but her.

As for "letting it go"...I watched Mr. Trump on Regis and Kelly. He spoke not a word about bully Rosie. However, I did hear that on the view..the same day..big mouth Rosie was at it again. She is the one who won't let it die. Probably because it's the only attention she gets. BTW..the only reason a lot of people sit in the audience at The View is to get the free gifts. I know people who hate the show..but have gone in hopes of getting a nice free gift.

The "View" was a so, so TV show before she came on board but now it really should be taken off of the air. I find everything about her offensive!!!! Dear Mr. Trump,
I salute you! Finally someone in the public eye has stepped forward to tell it like it is to and about big mouthed Rosie!
Keep it up! She needs to get used to seeing what it is like to deal with someone like you who is not afraid of her bully tactics.
Back in November when she attacked Kelly Ripa, I sent an email to Barbara Walters (I've copied it below)... never heard back from Barbara, perhaps because she probably gets so much negative feedback about Rosie, she can't keep up with reading it all!
I suspect Barbara, The View, and ABC know that they must find a way to rid themselves of the nasty one...
Joan
(email to Barbara follows)
Hello Barbara,
Well, here it comes... I just have to get this off my chest!
Barbara, why have you and ABC destroyed one of the best and most timely formats, 'THE VIEW'?
'The View' has been morphed into the 'ALL ABOUT ROSIE SHOW', and it really is no fun to watch anymore!
The show before Rosie? Yes I watched when I could, did I always agree, no, but was I entertained, yes! I loved it! It truly was entertaining, even the bumpy parts, the personality conflicts here and there along the way, always came thru with a sparkly patina of style, a "stylized view" provided

Mr. Trump... I think you should find a clip of what Rosie said. Unless I am mistaken, in no way did she say the fact that you were giving Miss USA a second chance was a bad thing. All she said was that you were in no position to question and or determine the moral authority on anything. I think you need to understand that your comments hurt a lot of people, especially people who are plus size. I also don't believe it was fair or appropriate to call into question Rosie's character or bring her wife in the picture. I in no way mean this to be rude or malicious but do you really believe your own wife would be with you if not for the size of your bank account?
[-] Posted by Michael Clifford on 01/09/2007 8:26 PM
Mr Trump,
I wholeheartedly agree with your stance on Rosie O'Donnell. When people's views differ from Rosie she becomes a bully and uses her celebrity and wealth as a shield. A perfect case in point is the set up and subesequent bashing of Tom Selleck on her TV show regarding his stance on the NRA. The real crime here is that there are impressionable youth that are being infected
[-] Posted by violet on 01/09/2007 8:29 PM

You put her in her place. And you gave her a chance also. Good job!!! Now every one get back to there jobs and quit fighting. God does not want every one fighting all the time in the meada. It makes people look bad don't you think?
Don't you think every one kneed to do a little bit of blessing the view. It is going to go down if they don't give.

Donald,
First of all anyone who's brother died of Alcoholism is the perfect moral compass for a misguided "EMPLOYEE" with a underage drinking problem, obviously her parents were not.Secondly the issue at hand was underage drinking

Mr. Trump, I understand that you would be upset, but why do you lower yourself. Everyone has a right to speak their own mind. Are we still children or are we grown-ups who are supposed not respond to people when they make critical remarks. I understand how you want revenge, but the best revenge is to continue doing what you do best. Keep on being a successful, dignified business man and let her continue to shoot off her mouth. Now, who would look better. I don't care to watch either of you battle it off on National T.V., so don't react. That was something my mother always taught me. Never react to someone when they try to attack you, that is exactly what they want. Good Luck!

I couldn't agree with you more on this Mr Trump... It's obvious that her negativety is manifesting itself and destroying her life. She's only left to insult and bully others in order to feel good about herself...

I hope she cheers up a wee bit hey...

Mr. Trump,
You were absolutely right in the method you chose to respond to Ms. O'Donnell. She chooses to make enemies than she and her few fans are stunned when the enemy strikes back. You have a name and brands to protect along with your reputation. When attacked the only response is to stike back with the maximum force to create the maximum damage. My only crfiticism is that with Ms. O'Donnell it is a waste of time. Ms. O'Donnell has never learned the adage in business, the military, and law enforcement; life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid.

Personally speaking I am ashamed for Mr. Trump. He seems to exhibit the look of class but he couldn't have stooped any lower in his assault of Rosie. His reaction was ungentlemanly, vulgar and showed his low esteem for women in general unless they are young and beautiful and on his arm to make him look good. I feel he is a pompous man and though Rosie may be a little rough around the edges, she didn't say anything so terrible as to set off such a tirade of name calling from Mr. Trump and he stooped even lower if that was possible

Mr.Trump,
I'm a fan of your apprentice show but since this discord with Rosie, I won't be excited about the new show. So it seems that Rosie has won, if anyone really care. I am shocked and disappointed that a man of your position would be drawn into such a trivial matter. Furthermore where are your brainy advisers and employees who allowed you to step into the muck - if they were good apprentices or loyal employee - someone would have saved you from your own passion and the most public embarrassment. It is a matter of respect or as Billy Joel said, a matter of trust. Wishing you a Happy New Year - please take the high road, most sincerely,

Good Evening Mr. Trump. I decided to drop in and comment on this issue. And let me say it's a pleasure. Personaly I find it interesting. I agree with the second chance choice. As we know we have all made a few mistakes hopefuly less in the future. I won't condem anyone thats willing to try. As for Rosie shes rather loud but I guess thats her fame. I won't hold that against the women. May I ask have you ever sober dated such a person? Best wishes! I look forward to your companies seminar in Feb. at Sarasota,Fl

Wow looks like everyone has an opinion on this matter, I truly believe that Mr Trump has a point, no one would talk about someone like Rosie did unless him/her self was dealing with some sort of despair or frustration, I of course do not alway´s agree on Trumps actions, but he has become successful things he has put his mind on. Stay on your feet Mr Trump don´t let the worlds opinion knock you down you are stronger than that.

Mr.trump--ignore the negative, bullshit opinions that people have posted on your "trump-blog". I think what you said about Rosie is so dam true..she is a loser. Also she is a lesbian--wich is a immoral sin agianst God. No I don't have anything agianst lesbians,I only despise what they do!
If someone came out and made bashing, hateful comments about me...I'd defend myself with everything I got too.
You are far more succesful than her in everyway, so I say if you want to start a war of words with her...then go right ahead. Free speech..but sometimes free speech can go to far. try to keep it professional.
peace Trump! If I had a skyscrapper(wich I intend on building someday--F*** the haters)I will join forces with you. I will put a flashy name(with glowing neon lights) on my building like your's with arcitecture that rivals yours...sweet!

Why should Mr Trump be held to a different standard than Rosie O'Donald? She made comments about his hair and that is OK but because he made comments about her weight and that she was ugly all of a sudden fat and ugly women are not a fan? I guess all the men that are going bald and have "bad hair" should no longer be a fan of Rosie...wouldn't that be childish though? We need more people like Mr Trump and Rosie because they speak their minds. I don't like Rosie but at least she says what she feels. Bravo to Mr Trump for not crying about it and standing up to her. For all you cry babies, get over this and let these two adults deal with it like adults and LEARN!

i read all comments. i love real estate so i study donald and others. i think once (if ever i pray) i make a substantial amount of money i will learn to try to not take even rosie personally. everyone has good and bad to them and to say somoen is a loser is not good. probably worse than what Rosie did but oh well. she is a public figure and makes disrespectfull comments. part of her attacking donald and miss america is becase she is unattractive and fat. I happen to be great looking (was homecoming queen and almost a model.I had one small flaw ) but i happen to have gained 40 pounds due to stresseating and being single as a mom. I will lose it but stress makes it take longer and working a lot in real estate but i love it. i see both sides/so what? i like donald and hope to learn a alot from him . even more than i have so far.

"Feel-A-Timebomb" coming on is what Fat stands for and then all kinds of diseases manifest if you become overweight, people.
Maybe Rosie is overweight, so are a majority of people in the world. I can't take sides as to who is right. I can only 'read' what is said, 'listen' to what each is saying about the other and not be judgemental. Their opinions and feelings are just that...and that's not bad. Hopefully, Mr. Trump, Barbara and Rosie get stuff off their chests about each other and "move on" with their lives. This year is about "FORGIVENESS" announced Pope Benedict.

AS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER, I SEE THIS TYPE OF BEHAVIOR FROM KIDS WHO THEMSELVES ARE INSECURE. WHY DO YOU NEED TO FIGHT ROSIE WITH "BELOW THE BELT" COMMENTS? YOU ARE A PROFESSIONAL AND ROSIE IS A COMEDIAN...TURN THE OTHER CHEEK...LAUGH A LITTLE AND YOU WIN...LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR SUCH RIDICULOUSNESS FROM TWO INTERESTING, INTELLIGENT PROFESSIONALS! IN SOME WEIRD WAY, THIS IS LIKE A BROTHER AND SISTER FAMILY FIGHT... JUST BECAUSE ONE "BARKS LOUDER AND MEANER" DOESN'T MEAN ONE IS RIGHT. Every prominent figure sets some kind of example for us all -- character is where we need to look to decide who we want to model our values and beliefs after. Sadly Ms. O'Donnell is not much more than a grown-up high school girl looking for attention (and you can see why, she isn't getting it elsewhere in her career, I've seen the type before)... Mr. Trump may not be perfect, no one is - but he is an excellent example of good character, consider his level of discipline and standards that are so rare to find today... With regard to this disagreement about whether or not it is right to give Ms. Conner a second chance, it's Mr. Trump's call whether or not to the second chance - he owns the program, he's the boss...that's a no-brainer), but I will say that in any arguement I look at the character of those involved... and in this case, Ms. O'Donnell is out of her league... Mr. Trump may be arrogant, but he's earned his position, and I respect that.

I guess I need to vent from hearing so much about this and to be hearing it over the course of the most supposed loving time of year. I came to this website to learn something from the best in business and the best at real estate. Most of us who have ambitions in life do not give a crap about celebs firing shots at each other, how much somebody parties or who wears underwear. I have no opinion one way or another on either side of who is right or wrong but enough is enough now. I wonder what good things mankind could accomplish when they take that energy and put it to building houses in the hurricane stricten areas or taking care of other life and death matters in the world. Now can we get back to the education part of this..............

To everyone with a comment, Donald Trump is one of the most sucessful business men alive and has a right to defend himself when attacked. With out saying names but we all know who I am talking about, there was no reason for the 1st person to open their mouth in a negative way. If Donald Trump made a decision that effects his company, then it is what it is and others who do not have anything nice to say should just SHUT UP!!!!! I personally think that if someone is attacking someone, it is because they are unhappy with who they are.
Maybe they need to re-evaluate there life. Donald Trump I admire your work and I also am in Real Estate and hope that one day I can reap the same rewards.
Ignore the nasty people.I thought your donation to the man who saved the guy on the subway was very nice. There should be more people like you. I did not see the other people bashers opening their wallet.

[-] Posted by Nancy on 01/09/2007 9:36 PM
I agree with Leslie Ann below. Donald, when you critized Rosie's weight you insulted many plus size women. Would you make demeaning comments about a person's skin color, age, shape of their nose, lack of hair or other attributes that make up appearance? Is weight the bar that determines a person's worth with you? Rosie was critical of you and your being angry about it is understandable. However, Rosie's weight and appearance has absolutely nothing to do with anything she said.
[-] Posted by Stephen Molloy on 01/09/2007 9:36 PM
Rosie was just entertaining the crowd and just joking. They comment made from Donald saw a totally different side and made harsh comments about her weight problem. Most people in America consider themselves to be overweight, and it didn't seem politically correct. Personally I felt it should have been taken as a joke, and that's all. If you self-promote and are famous, you have to expect criticism.
[-] Posted by Katherine on 01/09/2007 9:43 PM
People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. You are an embarrassment to society and a grossly ostentatious example of nouveau riche at its worst. Funny how these tasteless public sparring matches of yours are always with women in positions of influence. Guess you think they should be relegated to the role of arm candy. Hey Donald, you're fired.
[-] Posted by No Longer a Viewer of the View on 01/09/2007 9:45 PM
Your right it doesn't get much lower than that. But lower still is the fact Barbara insists on lying to save face. She's lied to Rosie putting her down behind her back and then wouldn't face up to it. To top it off she denies and furthermore goes on t.v. and lies that she even said that. Seriously who can even watch a show like that when their views are so covered with b.s. These women are just going to backstab that show right off the air. I know it's turned me and all my friends right off.

[-] Posted by Kim on 01/09/2007 9:56 PM
What were they (The View) thinking when they hired Rosie??? It's baffling. They went from being a classy show with Meredith to total trailer trash with Rosie. The View is a total joke now with her on it. And did you notice when she was on vacation, everyone (the women) seemed so relaxed and the show was actually nice to watch again. As soon as Rosie came back on, I stopped watching. You're right on Trump. I'm glad someone brought this out in the open. They need to fire her. Really! What were they thinking? BTW - Ivanka is doing a great job. Paris Hilton needs to take lessons from Ivanka.

I really do and it's so sad to this 75 year old woman that everyone has come to enjoy for so many years, out to be a wishy washy liar. I realize how furious this must make you and Rosie being such honest human beings. Donald, please keep this feud going. Being January and all everyone's on diets and although I live in Michigan, there isn't any snow! It's cold and gray and boring that if it weren't for you and Rosie and The Apprentice I'd die! Love you Donald! In fact things haven't been this good since I saw my first episode of Nip/Tuck.

At first, I thought it was a mistake that you made when you allowed Miss USA to continue in her roll. But after thinking about it, I now realize that was a bold, gutsy, and wise dession. 1. I don't believe that anyone else would have given her a second chance. 2. Knowing that the desion would draw unfavorable comments, you went ahead any ways. 3. Miss USA is suppose to represent USA, and like all of us here in the USA, we are humans. We make mistakes. Most of the time we get a second, (and sometimes even more chances) to do the right thing. For those that put celebs on a high thron, and expect them to act God like, should reevaluate their lives.
[-] Posted by Mickey on 01/09/2007 10:10 PM
Donald,
Honestly, do you realize that your hair is awful? How can someone have so much money, but such bad hair? I think that people around you are afraid to tell you how bad you look because you have money. But, everytime I see you on TV or in a magazine, I think to myself, why doesn't someone tell him that his hair looks so bad? I'm sorry if the truth hurts, but I think if you change your hair you will look better!

Also, don't say rude comments about fat people, it only makes you seem like a shallow person.
P.S. --- Please don't send the mafia after me because I wrote this!!!
Thanks!

Thank you for standing up to Rosie. She is really quite a crude, rude character. She has had a couple of guests who speak against the belief in God and she puts their books on her website. She disagrees with the the president and I also don't like a lot the politics in Washington right now either but she denegrates the office of the president and there is a way of disagreeing that doesn't have to be so nasty and disrespectful. She truly has a trailer trash mentatlity. I can't believe she is able to get to the point in her career she has because she has had to work with producers, directors, business people. How can they stomach her? Thank you for standing up to her because any comment from any of us outside of show business would never mean anything to her.
[-] Posted by Paul Hinkle on 01/09/2007 10:12 PM
Everyone listen up! Everyone has the right to thier opinion. Rosie had an opinion about Mr. Trump and Mr. Trump responded. Mr. Trump has every right to do with his company as he likes. I think he has done pretty good in business, don't you agree? Rosie has done pretty poorly in business and TV shows. If the only way Rosie has to try and justify her being on the TV show she is now on, is to attack people for making decisions in thier own business that is very sad. Personnally I think the show is not doing to well and this was a great way to get ratings. I mean is this not America and if the owner of a company that you are employeed
[-] Posted by Willie on 01/09/2007 10:12 PM

I think the Donald struck back light lightning to try to prevent the snowball effect but this was the wrong way to handle it. Rosie is a comedian and she is brilliant in showing that the Donald takes himself way to seriously. It has gotten to the point where the Donald appears like a narcissistic, cut-throat salesman. The problem is he is trying to sell the idea that Rosie is a loser but Rosie is sitting on The View. Donald is using a jackhammer to kill a fly and from what I have been seeing on tv everything is backfiring on him and each time he and his sexy daughter strike back Rosie comes out smelling like roses. The Donald should know that the public loves rooting for the underdog. Donald's only way out of this mess is philanthropy. He should be countering Rosie

Leaders, people who presume to sit the seat, be responsible to others and are held as examples have a myriad of difficult decisions to make. There will always be those who have something to say...good and bad. In my less than humble opinion, great leaders take the high road and even laugh at themselves sometimes. Great Leaders have no reason to give validity to foolishness...great leaders don't take their eye off the goal and use the power they have to leave a thumbprint of improvement and even specialness on everything they touch...whether or not it has been a financial success. Great Leaders understand there is always going to be noise of one kind or another and pretty much ignore it....Great Leaders don't dignify noise...they have too much good to do in the world.
[-] Posted by Mary Pominville on 01/09/2007 10:45 PM
My take on the entire issue is simply this. Rosie should focus on her own affairs and stay out of the affairs of others. It's Mr. Trump's business, and if he wants to give a young woman a second chance to get her life together then, then that is Mr. Trump's business.
[-] Posted by Erin on 01/09/2007 10:48 PM
Thanks, Mr. Trump. Rosie is scum. She has gotten away with bullying people because no one has had the guts to challenge her since it is so-called politically incorrect to challenge lesbians. But her life choice is not in question; her attitude is. One day she's really going to say toooooo much and let's see then how her "loyal" fans react. She act like she has something to prove. She should sit down and shut up once in a while. Not everything has to be challenged especially when it's only an opinion. She'd have more credibility if she was intelligent.
[-] Posted by Stacey Phillips on 01/09/2007 10:54 PM
I can not believe what came out of your mouth. Repeatedly.

My first thought was, he "supposed" to be a highly educated and intelligent man and that is as good as his vocabulary and strategy gets. Rosie did not lie, she may not have elaborated on the truth..but she did not lie.

I will not view further productions you are involved in. Ever. You behaved like the apprentices that I couldn't wait to have kicked off of the show and for Americans to learn you don't get far in life being a jerk.

Donald...your fired. This is my VIEW. (p.s., I am straight, thin, female and a new Rosie fan.)

Please...stop dragging the American media down the drain. Just leave and go back to real estate. Really. I recall your son stating previously that IS what your true business is and what he is now runnig "for" you.

I don't understand why Rosie felt she had to judge Mr. Trump. Saying he had no right to put his morals on the USA winner, I am sorry she is dead wrong, Ms USA is a role model and has an image to live up to no matter what any one things of the contest or winner. Rosie attacked without reason, Mr. Trump was will within his rights to pull this gal out of her title, I am glad he did offer a second chance her rehab can now be a role model for others. But of what is Rosie a role model? I happen to be a fat woman who I am sure Donald would never even me the time of day, but that is his right too. I might not like that he doesn't feel 'fat' people can do the job, but again that is his right to feel that way. I just don't know where Rosie gets the right to attack for something he had a right to do. She is a big mouth and not educated at all, she needs to get a clue and I am glad that Mr. Trump is saying something about the attack, even if Rosie is not worth the time

I agree with many of the comments here. When Conan moves his hair over and does a horrible Trump impression, there is no outcry. Donald could have just made one statement, avoiding the name calling and then let it go. But being on every show for days calling her Fat, Slob, Degenerate, Failure, was not in any way the way a man of any class should act. Mr. Trump (and I do still refer to him with some respect) has reduced himself to a homophobic, overweight repulsed caricature of himself. I saw the preview of the new Apprentice LA, is not his new son wearing a dress? Why are there no gay or overweight people in the running for the job. The majority of people in this country are overweight and most are a success including myself. I was once an admirer of the Donald, now with all the name calling, he is nothing more than an aging, publicity grabbing has been; seeking to get his name in front of the public any way he can to eek out one more dollar for his empire.
I think he should take a cue from Oprah. Yes, that overweight black woman, up from abuse and poverty, who is trying to change the world with educating the poor of the world at her own expense, not asking for donations and seeking press only to improve the situation of the world, not just her ratings.

Im glad that Donald is taking a stand against Rosie. Rosie says horrible things about everyone and ppl lie down and take it. I have a friend who was a staffer at Rosie's magazine and she stated that Rosie was a tyrant and couldnt believe Ms. Walters hired her on The View. She figures that Ms. Walters must be going senile because she isn't a good choice. Rosie is full of anger and hatred and thanks to Ms. Walters

Mr.Trump
I admire your work ethic and I think that we can all learn a thing or two from you. In regards to Rosie, I understand why you are on her case like you have been. I know that Kelly Ripa is one of your good friends and one of my favorite celebrities. Rosie had no right to attack her the way that she did. In addition, I know that you did not lie about your conversation with Barbara Walters. I also agree with you in the fact that Rosie will be the end of the View. All of you that do not belieive it, watch and see. Everyone said ugly things about Star, but Rosie has not been on the View very long and she has created many enemies. She is the reason that I no longer watch the View. Good Luck

I REMEMBER WHEN MS AMERICA AND USA REPRESENTED OUR COUNTRY AS YOUNG LADIES ABOVE REPROACH AND SCANDAL. IN FACT THEY WERE SCRUTINIZED TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD CLASS AND ELEGANCE AND WERE HELD TO A CERTAIN LEVEL OF CLASS AND ELEGANCE.

IT IS REFRESHING TO SEE THAT MR. TRUMP IN KEEPING UP WITH THE TIMES, HAS CHOSEN TO KEEP A CHICK WHO NOW REPRESENTS WHAT OUR YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE BECOME. YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK GOOD!!!!

UNDERSTAND,
I DO NOT AGREE WITH ROSIE AT ALL!!! i SIMPLY REFUSE TO WATCH THAT SHOW SINCE THEY HAD THAT MONICA CHICK ON IT YEARS AGO! I JUST BELIEVE THOUGH THAT LIFE IS JUST TOO SHORT PLUS WE ALREADY HAVE A WAR GOING ON

MR TRUMP,
MY MOTHER IS FAT OR WHAT MY DAD CALLED HER B4 HE PASSSED "PLEASINGLY PLUMP". SOME PEOPLE JUST ARE! SHE IS SUCH AN INCREDIBLE PERSON THOUGH THAT EVEN MY COUSIN CAME TO HER HOUSE B4 GOING TO HIS OWN MOTHERS WHILE VISITING FROM CHINA.

EVERYBODY GOES TO MOMMY MIT'S HOUSE... AND SHE IS FAT!!!!!!BUT WITH A REPUTATION OF LOVE, HONESTY, TOLERANCE, AND PEACE.

MR TRUMP,
BEING FAT DOESN'T MAKE U A LOSER OR UGLY OR ANY OF THE OTHER THINGS U INADVERTENTLY SAID THEY ARE. IT DOES HOWEVER MAKE YOU PART OF THE HUMAN RACE AND ALL HUMANS NEED TO REALIZE WE ARE EACH UNIQUE IN OUR OWN WAY.
AFTER ALL:
IF ROSIE WASN'T A LOSER, HOW COULD YOU OR I KNOW WE ARE WINNERS?????

Big fan of your show. Your business success is a great talent; a blessing for which you should be thankful. It shows that among the many lessons we are asked to learn as we journey through life - school, at that of leadership and ability to gather resources you are adept. However to a true student of life (not that you ever said you were) business or monetary success is not the measure of success in life but is just part of the "whole" journey. And because IT has come to you in the way that it has, IT most likely is not the thing you came here to learn or even YOUR greatest challenge(this stuff you already know). As much as independence and leadership is a life lesson so is tolerance of others, interdependence and following. Along with aggression, assertiveness and justice, there's empathy, harmony, caring, compassion, wisdom and oneness.
Mr. Trump I challenge you to challenge your self to examine your handling of the events of late. If you are receptive there is a lesson there for you.

You are wrong Mr. Trump. Rosie was never fired from her Rosie Show. It got rave reviews and she received NUMEROUS emmys. She quit when the ratings were at their HIGHEST. In fact, she was offered almost 50 MILLION dollars to stay. DON'T LIE, Mr. Trump.
[-] Posted by Susan Harris on 01/09/2007 11:45 PM
I was totally disappointed that you did not fire that girl, it should be a privilege to be Miss USA or Miss Tupperware or what the heck, it should stand for something, if she is going to be 'speaking'. You are notoriously anti-alcohol, she was an employee clearly over head, the next runner up deserved the chance to proudly wear the Miss USA crown, not some broken child in rehab who should be sent home to her parents like any middle class parent would have done. It was disingenuous and I am very disappointed. Your public behavior is lacking dignity all around these days, very disappointing. Was there a mention of your being concerned about Ivana's drinking? I hope you were not behind that. As the mother of your children, she also deserves her dignity and its your job to make sure she has it.

The rest of us slobs have to take insult and offenses all day long and move on with our lives. Unless you have Jerry Springer as a role model and after seeing his public demeanor on the dancing show, I would say in a Battle of Class, Jerry wins it hands down.

Mr.Trump,
After hearing what Barbra Walters had to say today; I am dismayed. I personally believe you 100%, so why Ms. Walters in essence 'lied' about your conversation with you is beyond me. The truth is on your side sir, please do not relent on the abuse that Ms. O'Donnell spouted. She has finally got to understand that words have meaning, and what she says does matter. Thank you.

Dear Mr.Trump;

This is obviously a well thought out ploy for publicity. I was not sure until I saw some comments on CNN about a supposed letter you may have sent Ms. O'Donnel. If that letter is true I'm sure it is all for hype. I could not picture you sending a letter to Ms. O'Donnel for any reason. I hope I spelled her surname correctly and if I didn't I do not care.
I never watched the view or any other sordid female gendered shows which primarily boost the egos of loosers that have nothing better to do with their time. I apologize to you that I haven't watched The Apprentice* since the third show. I have been busy learning the materials in college. However, based on the lazy bureacracy where I go to school I'm not sure Uni as in University is appropriate. At times it is as if I am paying them to abuse me.
Anyway, a man's life is worth something even if some women are of the opinion that it is not. Thank you for standing up to her. She is an unattractive slob and your description of her is accurate.

On another note, I started college at 41 and graduate with a Finance degree at 46 in May. The allegation that some gentleman accused you of about being age discrimainatory is unfounded. Perhaps he wasn't sharp enough or perhaps Ms. Ivanka Trump and/or yourself knew he wouldn't hold up.
I am looking forward to your new season. Have you ever thought of purchasing ABC and adjusting the staff according to your needs? Randy Locke.

Sir Trump, King of Real Estate

The sad thing about expressing your opinion is no matter how it comes out, once said, it couldn't be taken back. Much like the expression you can't un-ring a bell. It appears that once you're in the spotlight, media takes over. I believe you wanted to defend yourself, your pride, and your possessions, and then let it go. Your personal opinion became public opinion, as the hits on this blog compared to your other articles have shown. Although I am overweight, my dignity stands strong. I am an investor of your Trump University Real Estate Program and Proud of it. Media has no value of my opinion, thus what I say will only be read in a blog

Dear Mr. Trump,

As a teenager I read - The Art of the Deal - and although we have never met you became my teacher. I have never stopped learning from you. I became very angry after hearing of Rosie's comments. I thought she would be sued and we would never hear of it again. Then you responded. I can not express my utter disappointment in how you came across. It was truly painful to watch. On the one hand I can understand your emotionally driven response, but on the other hand it was so obvious that more thought should have gone into you response.

Whats done is done.
Lets analyze this and formulate a PR strategy.

Frankly at this point I have zero regard for Mr. Trump. Trump has become a bully and has seriously deluded himself, he's not God, in spite of his wealth. While Rosie may not be the most popular person, he has been out of line with his personal swipes. Another point, do he have any overweight people who he employ's? Or would that hurt his corporate image to employ people who, he might reason, must have no self respect to be overweight. How about gays on his staff? or would be that beneath him to hire degenerates? Get over yourself, with your bloated ego. This whole thing started due to the Miss USA debacle, protesting a little too much? Well, obviously you can't buy class, you either have it or you don't.

Mr. Trump ... Your right on the money with Rosie. At least thats my personal opinion. I have always admired your positive business "can do it" attitude. And though, I may not of always agreed with you on every position you have taken over the years ... I certainly agree with you on this one. In watching Rosie over the years my opinion has become that this woman is nothing short of a viscious animal as a person. It is obvious that she is just totally miserable with herself, her life & the whole world around her ... & she takes it out on everybody else, just to make herself feel important & to hopefully get good ratings. She has all the ethics, vulgarness & lack of morality of a shock jock, and as far as I am concerned a total embarresment to all of us who call ourselfs Americans. My wife is new to this country, as well as many of our friends. And they see people like her when they come to America & they are totally agast that any human being can behave this way. Her & others like her are truly a black eye to us Americans as far as the way other forien peoples of the world view us. Rosie should remember ... Forgiveness is next to godliness. If she wants to be forgivin for her own ways ... she should also forgive others.

You're no gentleman, Mr. Trump. You just proved to America, and the entire world, that money can buy only that which can be bought. Real class and good character are priceless, and can't be bought. Same thing with your Miss USA. No amount of make-up, or tiaras could cover what she's really made of. I'm not an American and I'm amazed that America can look at both of you with admiration. Rosie, degenerate? Get new mirrors, sir, or maybe leave your desk for a few weeks of some serious soul searching. What good is it for a man to own the whole world, yet lose his very soul? Mr. Trump,
Before watching 'The Apprentice',I figured you were a pompous ass. Then, as I watched the show, I grew to respect your morals and what you valued in your employees and in life in general. However, in light of this feud with Mrs. O'Donnell, I regret to say that my initial view of you is true. Sir, you are a pompous ass. Where is your class? You stooped lower then Rosie ever could proving that you, Mr. Trump, are the loser in this scenario. One would think that your upbringing would have taught you better then calling people shallow names and throwing around insults. You could have taken the high road and let her opposing opinion of your decision wash off your back. I would have continued to respect you then. However, you have lost a faithful viewer of 'The Apprentice' and as a consumer I will boycott any of your casinos, products, hotels, etc. In my eyes, Mr. Trump: you're fired.

I never really did like Rosie that much but after her TV show flopped and she was seen on the news so many times with her mouth just a flapping, I lost any respect that I had for her (ok so there wasn't really that much to lose).
When Barbara Walters hired Rosie on at "The view" I told my husband that it was only a matter of time before "The View" would be canceled.

I think she has that knack for being funny...some of the time. I think also what she said about Mr. Trump was wrong and I don't know why criticizing him and his decision to give someone a second chance seemed like a funny or brilliant thing to do. I do not agree with Rosie's personal lifestyle but I do not judge her for it and I don't think she should have judged Mr. Trump. She makes fun of his looks which but is offended at him remarking about hers...and hers can be changed if she wanted to. She makes a choice to eat as many of us do. Regardless, I was also a fan of The View but lately I am irritated at the liberal ...not even a slant but total bias. Elizabeth is my hero in a way and she gets bullied

WELL WELL WELL.Donald Trump, seems like you have a lot of comments here.First of all, everyone reading this, rerun to the attacks Rosie made about Cristie Ellen the star of Cheers which was over weight and went to Jennie C and is a spokesperson for weight loss. Rosie vulgar remarks on her stating, She is not that weight, she's a liar. She attacked a fat person which was going to lose the weight. Now, how about the attack on Kelly about a homo remark. And now on Donald. Rosie should enlist in the military and go to Iraq. She is vulgar, a bully and is not funny. And yes she is fat, a xtra plus size. Today Ellen Degeners won for the best talk show as well as the funniest female. I agree 100%. I emailed Rosie, Barbra WaWa , The View as well as mant 100 of us did. We consider the View as P.U. Rosie has insulted all women. She attacked the pagent Queen first, a woman, then Trump for compassion. Now we have a spokespwerson of the National Org for Fat people tell the Trump he owes the Plus sizes a apology. First of all did you see that person, fat wasn't her problem, she was ugly. Truth is truth. The truth is all fat people do not like being fat and fat is not a forbidden word to be used.I told Rosie and the P>U that look at Ellen D, she is as we all know gay, but she is funny, NICE, and has class. It is great she won today.Donald is of course a Man. duh...He is not harsh to Rosie, he replied as any person would of, man or woman for Rosie has been attacking everyone. We told Barbra WaWa, she needs to get Rosie out as she made a foolish mistake. Barbra has become a senile snail. Wake up WaWa. Now am I being nice..I think so, as I have said, when we have TV programs, daytime shows, they should be of clean issues and not vulgar. DONALD, we are many 100's of women here, we understand your re-action and it is valid. It was just a matter of time when someone was going to put Rosie in her place. Believe me, she is no match for me or my 3 adult daughters. We see a lot of her type in the strrets. NOW what is a solution. Send Rosie to a Re-hab/anger management or a doctor. Rosie however is not Hated, moreover, she is self hated and needs to stay home. Congrad to Ellen, and to you Donald, perhaps just sue her and let the wordings stop, for that is what a mouthpeice is for. In other words take it to the courts now with a gag order. Not once did Rosie EVER say that Miss USA didnt deserve a second chance.I believe Rosies comments were about Trump being in no position to be the "moral compass for 20 year olds in America".For someone who claims to be so intelligent you might want to go back and look at the original comment she made, or have have one of your people check. To keep repeating over and over that she didnt want to give a nice young lady a second chance is..hmmm...a lie. To seek out every media outlet that would speak to is you is beyond absurd. To keep saying to the press every day for nearly 2 weeks that shes a degenerate etc. is absurd.Who is the real bully here? Is that what you do to your business collegues when in the boardroom? Apparently billions of dollars can buy almost anything...except class! Enough already. Take all that time and energy you spend in the press every day and use it to change the world ...and I dont mean build another golf course or highrise. Your words have gone beyond an opinion.Just know that hate breeds more hate.

You know - i couldn't dislike you more for the way you have handled the situation with Rosie - I will never watch any of your shows or purchase anything that has anything to do with you.

I view the people on my tv as employees. I pay, they entertain me.
So Don, I just can't have someone like you on my team. You don't get along well with others, and quite frankly, you are arrogant. You are just not a team player.

Donald, .. you're fired.

I have a comment about Donald Trump The Hump . How can he set on his sorry butt and make fun of people like Trump The Hump is doing when he has got to be the UGLIEST SORRIEST LOOKING MAN thathas ever been put on the face of the earth . I mean all that money that he has took from other people probably

Well done Donald! You really have put Rosie on the spot and she thoroughly deserves to be put in her place. Not many people get second chances, especially in Beauty pageants - so good on you that you gave tara her second chance.
All the best!

FIREING MISS NEVADA FOR SOME 5 YEAR OLD PARTY-PICTURES REDUCES YOU FROM HERO TO HORROR-SCENARIO.

You were doing your own show, mending your own business. Rosie, out of the blue for no reason, unprovoked, making derogatory remarks about you to the public media and in a public forum. I am just amazed at all the comments on this board telling you to "back off" and "be nice". Mr. Trump, I am urging you to continue to fight back. Backing off is just a reward to this type of bullying, bad behavior. Go all the way. All sane Americans are on your side.

Mr. Trump: I agree with your comments on Rosie however it may have been best to leave her weight out of it.
Thank you for standing up and fighting back when attacked.
I support you on this one.

Mr. Trump, You must read this....
Who doesn't know you are rich??? but almost every show you were on, you always try to tell people that "I am a rich man"...Look at Mr. Gates or Paul Allen or other billionaires....No one ever said that they are rich. Yes, surely You are finacially rich ... but morally...you are worse than any money maker out there....What a loser you are. I just wish someday you lost everything and go bankcrupt to see if any women wants to be with you...

Must be nice not to have anything else to worry about, you two. If you were not both self centered, you would understand alot more about the common folk. I really don't care if one of you are a billionare tycoon or the other is a daytime, lesbo celeb. You both are living a life of a dream, so shut up and get on with your miserable lives. I for one enjoy mine, I don't make the most money, but modest. Do I have to worry day to day? Yes, but who cares? Me, I take care of my family without any bs ratings stuff. In my opinion, you're both wash out and that's why you're both doing this. Please give us a break, and shut the F___k up

I'm a branding consultant and I understand the value of protecting one's brand and reputation. Mr. Trump, I have no idea if you're usuing this situation to make another publcity stunt or you're just fed up and trying to say to the media back off with all the bad jokes, but a diplomatic answer would have put your image in a much higher and more appreciated level and would show the world how silly the statement Rosie O'Donnell is.
[-] Posted by rachelle evans on 01/10/2007 6:01 AM
you and Rosie both have kids , and you both are behaving like kids knock it off already and get back to the business of living. It just shows that money does not make the insecurities go away. Rosie responded to the beauty of the woman getting her way

First, let me say that I usually agree with Rosie O'Donnell regarding her political sensibilities as I've heard them expressed and demonstrated

I think someone has to be the bigger person and just stop the insults. I agree with the other commmenters that stated if Mr. Trump hadn't said anything, this 'fire' wouldn't be blazing right now. I have always admired Mr. Trump's business sense, and that won't change... but I am a little discontented with his show of character right now. And a comment to "Joanne" who stated you should "do something" about Oprah... just because a school is located in Africa dosen't mean that whites are excluded. Please show some intellegence. If Mr. Trump should "do" anything it should be donating books or supplies to the school.

Mr. Trump,
I am so sick of this whole thing between you and Rosie. However, not even knowing you, I do side with you. She was wrong in using her microphone as her way to express herself against you. She was hired

Mr Trump,
There is only one woman in this world that is more discusting than Hillary Clinton, that is Rosie O'Donnell. It thrills me everytime you say something to her that I have wanted to say for years. Please don't hold back. Can Hillary be next?
[-] Posted by Sunnydale on 01/10/2007 7:22 AM
Mr. Trump why stoop to "Fatty O'piggy's" level, she's an IDIOT! Please Mr.Trump don't let this out rageously jealous hippo ruin your rep,
[-] Posted by Cyndie on 01/10/2007 7:25 AM
Donald, I really liked you and your show..until now. I won't be watching it anymore. I think the comments you made about Rosie were crude, mean and totally uncalled for. I am so disappointed, I thought you were better than this.
