Don Trump Jr. started at the Trump Organization the same month I did, which was September of 2001. I remember being impressed by how unassuming he was as well as how diligent he was. Not that I should be surprised, because he has his father’s work ethic to the core. He’s a serious businessman who takes on a lot of responsibility and doesn’t expect any breaks because of his family heritage. If anything, he has more responsibility, which he handles with aplomb. He is mature beyond his years.
A few years later, Ivanka Trump came on board, and by then we knew what to expect. She’s a very hard worker, a dynamo in fact, and there’s no nonsense when she and Don Jr. work together. They make a great team, and share their father’s passion for real estate. Their passion is not fabricated, it’s for real. They’ve taken the Trump Organization global, in a big way and in a short time. It’s been remarkable to watch. Ivanka’s incredibly beautiful too, by the way, but her demeanor cannot be mistaken for anything other than professional. She’s a class act all the way. I heard her father refer to her as being “formidable” and I thought, right on.
Eric Trump joined his siblings in the fall of 2006, and he too brings the same Trump work ethic to his position. He is 6’5” tall, but his countenance is not one of intimidation. He knows what he’s doing and has a low-key approach to getting things done. Which means, being a Trump, they will be done right and done with speed and gusto. He hosted the September Concert tribute to 9/11 in Trump Tower, and did a fantastic job at the microphone. He’s a natural.
Everyone is impressed with the Trump children, although it feels strange to refer to them as children. They are professional, articulate, well mannered, well grounded and as far from being childlike as you can get. I know Mr. Trump is proud of them, and rightly so. Watching them in action is the best antidote to skepticism. They will do the Trump name well for at least a couple of generations to come. The Trump ethos is quality and it is in good hands.
Last week I was telling Don Jr. about the new book I am working on with his father, which is called Never Give Up! It will be similar in format to Trump 101: The Way to Success, which came out last fall and was well received. Don asked what it was about, and I told him it will describe some of the challenges involved in the seemingly Midas-touch empire that his father has built. When we hear the Midas-touch syndrome applied to the Trump properties, we always have a laugh. The Trump brand is what it is today as the result of the hard work, integrity and the incredible tenacity that started with Fred Trump, continued in a big way with Donald Trump, and is flourishing today with the three new Trumps at the Trump Organization. I’d say the Trump brand is poised to be bigger and better than ever.
One of my original observations here had to do with the complexities of the development and management of large properties. It requires amazing daily diligence as well as an eye for details. I began to see how it can become a consuming passion - because if you’re not passionate about it, it could drive you nuts. Nothing is easy, and to hear the meetings and negotiations makes you aware of that fact. Mr. Trump has likened doing business to combat, and I will say that sometimes there is a war zone feeling around here. One journalist who came up commented that spending a day in the offices was like “a day in the trenches” - but the good part is that it is never boring. The Sturm und Drang is there for a good reason - just look at the results! It will be exciting to see how the next few years unfold.
One lesson I’ve learned from watching Donald Trump in action is that tenacity is absolutely necessary for success. That means a daily application of 100 percent focus and nothing less. It’s astonishing to see how he zones in on something, and holds on until he’s satisfied or the problem has been resolved. It can be about trees, sinks, chairs or a multi-million dollar project. All of them will receive his rapt attention. So be tenacious, every single day, day in and day out - and you too will see results.

I think you have the best seat in town. I have been around family run businesses all of my life, and I knew that if Mr. Trump's family were to join the team they would have to pull their own weight. Being in the position that you are in gives you access to a lot of things that the outside world will never know. The fact that you are posting in the blog is fantastic. It will let the people on the outside see through your eyes how work in the office really is.
No nonsense, was a great way to explain the work ethic of the Trump family. I would be honored to have any one of Mr. Trump's family work on one of my projects.
Keep posting Merideth, and letting us have a glimpse behind the scenes. I am inspired everyday.

When is the new book expected to come out? I have a great story about my own struggle and not giving up that you and Mr. Trump can use. It's about my struggle to overcome emotional child abuse and get my life on track and how Mr. Trump and The Apprentice helped me. But what can do a unified power of passion in family is an example
to follow in our days and here I will give a fine touch to the Middle East war zone, asking where it could be that brothers country*s if did*t loose soo many century*s in voraceous faights! Where 12 brothers in the beginning and a LOVE as creation LAW which still affect globally the whole world.. place enough for all, they*re common treasures starting even from the very first Mesopotamian Ur culture in building impressive isn*t for they*re times!!!
The geographycal positioning at the crossroad of other cultures and here touch the math from the India roots via arabian *till the Egyptians with they*re common LAW Tables of Toth, the Hebrews common destiny*s in hands of a unique Father talking to them all with wrotten words at they*re times...and at least as before the Father whcih touched them also like Midas with gold epoques, to maintain it is the hardest part and to distroy it the easy*est, really without going too deep in the religions to avoid sensitief subjects, just look at the last Shiia *profet* the way it lead his brothers and son*s of his brothers, just a candit question: may in this perenity of life a human being in his path be above the Father? Is not the Planet the common HOME with place enough for all his son*s? How can we distroy the result of such a large Creation filled with passion and gifted to us as his son*s to follow and develop further as good we can!! well, having passion as dynam in life and the example of the Father, is difficult even to understand his Creation in the whole complexity and diligence worth but to mantain it and CREATE further is a liability!! a Sant one, the true Sant one! Know when to listen at his word..it start long ago and somehow the loosed Paradise I associate it with the small use of our brains we do generally spoken, just 10 to 15% and how much war distry and war destructiveness the Humanity is able to do generally spoken!! Imagine that the whole brain capacity we use not to build and the summ of the destructief people..Tirans where few in history but with large veery large blood hystory behind..Just asked myself, Do Home with fire within!!! the roots of architecture the beautifull ones we would like to travel to see and wonder about!! The evolution we wonder also from today skyscrapers,
but with fire within mean also that we must learn to build ourself inside as the Father created us, as Him!!! Creators in spirit of Love!!!
how many colours trees water wonders as our FEELINGS we are blessed to have? how we use it? fighting our brothers? Destroy and Domini? it start everything from the Family cell, that small part we care about or we distroy it soo easy! domestic violence, rapes, wars at small or large scale..hmm, you know, even asked myself more about the love a Father can have for his son*s to give one of them to speak again his words, simple words of Love, and and the famous Secret Dinner of Jesus just think that brothers eat at thissame table the Sacred each day Bread we winn hard with work as the Father word was spoken. Old Sant words wrotten for the time it where wrotten for they*re good, starting with health and higyene classes in Talmud or food restriction*s in Coran, you see? as warm was for there the pork is a danger for that people!! and for India the cows are Sant too, like *care the pastures and the milk for the childrens, each regio wise Father cared! Different regio*s thissame Law but different path*s, spoken in century*s! Shared table mean hospitality and 12 again killed the Son!Jesus as Father new law in Jerusalem!! each Son arrise from a mother with a reason too! the love family foundation to care childrens not kill in wars, poverty, aborts, educate them to build with fire within they*re Destiny! I say all this to say, what a great title for a book. It helps to have tenacious friends too, like you are to Donald Trump.
I also want to add that I have had a lot of friends comment on my tenacity. I have accomplished a lot of my goals and dreams and I am not donemaking new goals and dreams, and never will be.
I bought myself a plaque to hang on my wall and later heard the following used in a couple sermons:

I just thought it is appropo to post this as it relates to the battle field you described in Trump's territory and for your upcoming book with him. I am looking forward to seeing it in print.

I am a 32 year old woman from Australia who left school at 15 as I was pregnant. When my son was older I wanted to start a career.
I had no experience and a couple of certificates. I applied for a job as a house keeper for an international school. It was the worst job I have ever had but it was the only job I ever had. I told myself that I was going to learn how to use computers and everything I needed to know to have an administration position. Two years later I became team leader. I believe in myself and know that I could do something great.
My dream would be to learn from you and be your under study.
I understand that I may never hear from you but thought this world is crazy enough that it may just happen.
You just never know unless you just do it....

As a matter of fact I read in one of his books Donald Trump say in fact he could not have asked for his children to been raised by a better mother.
Ivana has played a large part in that too and from one mother to another Happy Mother's Day Ivana! Two thumbs up for doing a great job!
Pretty much when you have great children, you have everything!

Speaking of terrific kids and great books when is Trump's beautiful wife Melania going to write that book on "How to marry a Billionaire."
All of us women are just dying to get our hands on it. I mean if we have to be as beautiful as she clearly none of us would stand a chance.
Also I was kind of hoping maybe he could write a book on "How not to have a fight in a relationship." Think of all the peace and love that could bring to the planet.
Like in most cases, the reason behind that type of image is due to lacking or colored information. As a TrumpU student and keen reader of Trump Blog, I have learned to know that Mr. Trump and the whole Trump organisation is not only an effective business machine, but also major charity organisation with high ethics. And that side of Mr. Trump and his organisation is too little known here in "the old world" and therefore many people are against Mr. Trump with no real reason!
So just like my friends in the "2000 Foundation" wrote, knowing more about all positive, human side of Mr. Trump and his organisation would be very interesting, and not only for us in TrumpU, but all global audience. That would not only help us to see that humanity is not forbidden for good business people but also help getting Trump companies better recognised as what they really are in global terms!
I too NEVER GIVE UP! Just check out my survival story when I too have some physical limitations from a no fault major auto accident and then some but I keep on keepin on. Just was excited to get involved especially after being nicely told, "my immediate housing, rental temporary search could be address and perhaps with assistance" but I was misformed. I've spoken with awesome Rick Brown, even before taking (if I don't drop out, cancel membership), my first June 2, 2007 Real Estate class! Guess I was so "pumped up, full of zest and never ending optimism for my dreams to come true---and only hope some working at your 800 number "don't talk unpleasant with much disorganization". That Mr. Bob was not honest but finally admitted he correct himself...one unkind tone and statement made. I will pull back and re-assess all even when I know Trump "trumps all" with Real Estate come back success. Way ta go Trump (Donald Sr., that is).
