There’s really no such thing as knowing too much about what you’re doing.

When I was in college, I spent my spare time reading about real estate and foreclosures. I didn’t feel it was a sacrifice of my time, because I was interested in real estate; I wasn’t studying just to pass a test. The knowledge I gained on my own led to my first successful investment. I couldn’t have achieved that if I hadn’t spent the time studying on my own.

In college, I also read something that Rudyard Kipling said, which I’ve never forgotten: “I keep six honest serving men, they taught me all I knew -  their names are What and Why and When--and How and Where and Who.” Finding the answers to these questions will ensure that your information is comprehensive and correct.

An example of this was from The Apprentice, when my assistants and I interviewed candidates. Sometimes the process went on for hours - one boardroom meeting lasted for over five hours so we could make the most knowledgeable decision possible!

Staying informed is a daily task, and challenge, considering how quickly our world is moving. But not keeping up is like agreeing to check out - please don’t do that. Plug in and learn everything you can. You never know when information will come in handy. If I hadn’t studied real estate foreclosures as a student, I wouldn’t have been able to see the great opportunity that led to my first big success.

Resolve to move forward and to learn as much as you can - today and every day.

Very well said Donald,

Someone once said: "knowledge is what's left when you've forgotten everything", the more you learn, the more is left...

Mr. Trump
I fully agree with your thought on necessity of being thorough.

Knowing about the job you are doing in very important and even more than that you should be able to internalize within yourself. If you can not internalize it within yourself, you can not communicate your vibes well.

Please read my blog post yesterday:

For every thing you do, you must care in detail only they you can communicate in well.

Mr. Trump,

I could not agree more. Any short cuts in life come back to bite you later on. Attention to details, and proper research are a must for success!

As a teacher, I got goosebumps to read Donald Trump quoting Kipling regarding knowing "Who, What, When, Where, Why and How."

I really appreciate the encouragement here. I went to the Trump Power Summit and got the big binders for building wealth and protecting assests, before I have either wealth or assets because I know that I have a lot to learn before I become an investor. I also got the CDs of Omar Periu's. Both seem overwhelming and feel like too much money to have spent since I am down to my last dime. I was having buyers remorse and seriously considered returning the material for a refund. Then I got some phone calls from representatives; these put me at ease because it reminded me that these people are here to help me. SO, I know in my hardest of a faint heart (figuratively speaking), that these study materials could very well be my survival guides.

Right now I am just keeping my head above water with my teacher's income and find that mainting my duties and chores is all I have time for. In my spare time, I am working on my physical and mental health to become stronger and have more energy. I only need 6 to 7 hours sleep now (verses 9 or 10), and pray I have the energy soon for a second career.

Oddly enough I originally thought of JUST owning a dance studio, or chan of them, now I want to own duplexes, hotels, restaurants, and have a custom home on our local air strip and a second home on the beach.
I do believe I am dreaming big now. I have always had dreams (literally) about various architecture, and some designs are in recurring dreams.
Since I love looking at property, I think I would enjoy becoming an Appraiser to start this journey as a means of learning more and getting paid in the process.

So many people very easy to give up when they see there is no progress from their business. The fact is, that person does not have enough knowledge. And it might be when that person read from books, their way to read such as entertain themselves. No read with seriously! No wonder when they see the problem on their project, they give up and left it.
If that person be thorough on their project and keep update themselves with knowledges then they will not easily to give up. The fact is, they keep continue to follow through their project!

I agree, you can never know too much, but some think they do! A good newspaper article always answers: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How. So does a good invitation for that matter.
