Some people might think billionaires don't have to impress anyone, but most of us still live by these rules.

1.      Be honest. Most people can smell a lie and will appreciate honesty, even if it's not exactly what they want to be hearing.

2.      Be on time. Punctuality is essential. You should never tolerate late arrivals and missed deadlines for yourself or from anyone else.

3.      Be self-deprecating and disarming. Don't be a bulldozer in business; save your hardest edge for when you need it most.

4.      Do your homework. Wasting other people's time due to poor planning and thoughtlessness will only leave a bad impression.

5.      Let other people talk. Any business conversation should be two-sided.

6.      Make a mental dossier on people. Before meeting people for the first time, do some research on them. People will be flattered if you reference a deal you know they've done or a charity they're involved in.

7.      Remember people's names and small details about them. Use both in conversation. People love to hear their names and their stories said out loud.

Remember that your business manners, like your money, need to be maintained at all times.

Donald,
I think I just did most of that.
I had to have a recertification interview at this apartment building I reside in for now.
Business ethics never leave unless you let them.

Interesting.

Dear Mr.Trump,

I want to expand a bussines , something new in Europe,or I don`t know, maybe will be unique in the world:

For all hotels (cooks man) and usually for all familly , I want to make a dispositive , a little display for the kitchen, when will be inside all foods(italian, arabic, chinese, etc),meniu( for breakfast, lunch ,dinner ),how to prepare foods for all older category.
The benefit for all cooks man will be to find all foods, how to prepare, ingrdients, JUST WITH A CLICK
In every day,my wife ask me : "What do you want to eat today,or tomorow?",and I talk : " take a book for food,or find in a book something news! "
I want to ask you what marketing strategy you can to recommend me to apply ?

Mr. Trump,

Your style of negotiating a business deal has been described by George Ross, as having a quality of win/ win. I remember about a comment you made once about Bush's foreign policy in the Middle East. You said, "the US would send this top official to the MIddle East, to try to talk through the problems... she would come back to the US, but nothing ever changes."

So it can be said, that listening to the other side with care, is actually a very important first step. In business there is a need for good leaders, people that look for solutions for both sides... thus, win/ win.

By the way, if at all possible, I will make it out to see you speak live again this year. Even Ivanka went on tv, and described you as the "voice of God," lol. Go figure.

Bulldozers work hard ? They are the foundation of your industry ?

Mr. Trump

I used to think that you were a big shot billionaire

I know now you can't judge a Book by it's Cover but now I know

Knowledge is the key

and you have to read the book to know what it says

Good sound rules to live by, but #2 seems a bit inflexible.

Did you know that many other parts of the world do not look at time and punctuality the same as Americans do? I agree, that it is very important for me to honor appointments, and I try to hold myself to that. On the rare occassion when that it isn't possible, I do notify the waiting party.

You said "You should never tolerate late arrivals and missed deadlines for yourself or from anyone else." Never? Are you referring to employees or who? And, what would you propose I do about those late arrivers? Isn't that a bit out of my control? The biggest time wasters for me at present are the doctors my husband has to see. What I can do is bring something to do while I wait.

As for deadlines, as long as they were reasonably set, and no unforseen calamity has taken place requiring adjustment to the deadline, I agree. Stay on task and git R done. I usually exceed them unless there is business to be done at the last minute. Then, I meet them.
