Take the responsibility. Take the hit. If you do that, you will have no need to blame others or continually find fault with them.

A guy I once knew used to constantly call me to complain about everybody and their brother. To listen to him, you would think that the entire world was against him and that he never made a mistake in his life.

From day one, nothing was ever his fault. Everyone else was to blame. In truth, he was his own biggest blind spot and sad to say, he eventually became a total loser because he never remedied his biggest problem - himself.

So when things go wrong, look at yourself first. Don’t instinctively blame others or the circumstances - or use them to cover your behind. Be the leader. Stand tall and take the hit.

If you accept the glory, be willing to accept the blame.

Mr. Trump,

I have a brother who's a young man just starting out; he's trying to find the type of work he wants to pursue in life. A friend of his graduated from a large business school, right here in New York, and started a mortgage company out in Long Island... now supposedly, the boss, who's only in his 20s, is today a millionaire. My brother went to work for him, trying to help people refinance their mortgages, but he said, the work was boring; he just didn't feel stimulated enough.

I remember some advice you gave once, and I said to him, "you have to know yourself." I said, if he can't see himself doing that kind of work the rest of his life, then do something else. As you've said, Mr. Trump, if you do what you love, the money will follow. But beyond this, why go after something, that you just know you don't have a talent for? If, on the other hand, you get into a type of work you know you do have a talent for, you'll have a much better chance, of going right to the top.

Dear Mr.Trump, I fully agree to what you said! A man should take a hit! In other words, take responsibility! As a matter of fact, many men only like to take good things and run away to enjoy his life with his family. This is UNFAIR! Then when he came back to his country, he will become a loser and told to everyone that people try to take advantage of him. I would ask to this man "Who the hell is he?" Definitely, this kind of man is weak to motivate people!
Mr.Trump, every country in this world looking for someone who can motivate people to work in proper way! Not take advantage!
A man with responsibility will not afraid with blame! He will make a new step to take a hit! New Responsibility!
Thank you to read my message this time, Mr.Trump!

The difference between the guy that you were talking about and you is confidence. In every life there are people who help us and hurt us. The trick is to take the help and bounce off the hurt- some people do the opposite. For years I refused to believe that my advice had lead to two people becoming billionairres- every time any evidence surfaced- I pushed it down into my brain and refused to believe it- I defended against it. Instead I kept all the pain and the hurt and the humiliation on top- and it defeated me. It told me that I was helpless, hopeless, and useless. But I'm not. From the cradle, I've lived a life of helping everyone I could with what I've learned and what I can see- and I'm sure that it has made a difference in lives. That makes me helpful, hopeful and very useful. Just yesterday I was getting an oil change and taught this woman who had failed a test repeatedly some basic test-taking strategy. Maybe it changed her life. I hope that it did. But now that I can see myself as I truly am, it is much easier to take the hits. The difference is simply flipping a switch in your brain. Mr. Trump,
Very useful observation. Most of the people are not ready to face the reality. It's very hard to accept the Truth. People blame others to cover own mistakes.

This is so true... It's like a balance here... When you are very willing to take all the glory, be very willing to take the blame as well...
It's probably called the nature where we get to see good and bad, ups and downs, black and white...

It's easy to complain and hard to find solutions. Recognizing you need to change or made an error is a way of finding a solution which is why the world is full of complainers who are quick to find fault with everyone else but themselves because doing that is what is easy and requires least amount of work. As for myself- as a habit the first thing I do when something goes wrong is look to myself to see what I did wrong and how I could have done things better. This way something good can come of what amounts to a learning experience and preferably avoid same problem in the future. This formula for success provides me the privalege of being someone who likes what they see when they look in the mirror and takes pride in themself. Only solutions!www.myspace.com/98656180

Dear Mr. Trump, I took a good hit today.I paid $750.00 to the IRS for my tax-exempt status five months ago. They called today to say that I need to file a new application and that my $750.00 is not refundable, " it's gone"! Do I take responsibility, yes. Do I explain and complian, no. This is nothing personal, it is business. Having heard Mr. Les Brown say " If it feels wrong then you must be doing something right". These kinds of land mines motivate me. Micheal Jordan once said " That the constant thought of even the possibility of failure motivates me to Excellence". Cedric Bell, charitablechildcare@yahoo.com

I hope to make a few investments in Scottsdale Arizona and once I have a monthly income I can move out there. My question is, how smart is it for me to invest in a city I can't visit too often? Would it be better to start investing here in New Jersey then slowly move out West? I have a friend who I trust in AZ and could possibly help to keep watch. I can afford more out there and it's a wonderful place to retire so it should be a worth while investment.

Thank You,
Ruth Biamonte

I own my home out right it's valued at around $320,000. How much of the equity do I use on an investment property when purchasing? How do I keep my leverage? Do I throw all the equity into one investment or do I some how stretch it out among a few? Help me please!!!

Thank You Again,
Ruth A. Biamonte

How best do I approach my bank when I'm seeking a mortgage on an investment, do I use my equity first or do I see what they will loan me then I draw from my equity?

Hello Mr. Trump,

I am happy to submit this to you on the last day of the contest.

What, in your expert opinion are the five strengths that a woman entrepreneur must have to succeed? I am thinking they may be;
high personal and professional integrity, be a risk taker, always remember the little details, never forget a name, and be able to say I am wrong but I will try again.

What a wealth of information you are sharing on your blog Trump.

I was looking forward to your project in Arizona taking place this year. I believe you had the foresight to see that our market here would slow a little, hence your decision to not proceed with your towers. I trust you will reconsider another venture in the future. Scottsdale's market is remaining strong & desirable. I look forward to your presence here someday...you would definitely add some class to the area.

As a veteran realtor and Arizona native, I would like to extend my services to you should you need anything here in the Valley of the Sun.

May the happiest day of your past be the saddest of your future!

I love this. Personally, I believe that guy was a loser from his first mistake. When you make a mistake, if you deny responsibility, you can't learn from it. If you don't learn from it, you are destined to repeat it.

A program I attended once had great info on dealing with problems. When a situation arises, the speaker said the first thing you should ask yourself is "Who owns the problem?" If you are the person in charge, even if you didn't create it, you have part ownership.

My husband used to work with a wonderful human being, Mel Harding. Mr. Harding always taught his employees some great approaches to problems as follows:

If you see a problem, fix it.
It doesn't matter who did it or who was responsible. What matters is it is a problem, and it needs to be fixed.
Fix it now, take preventive measures later.
