The Second Deadly Workplace Sin: Envy

You know Donald this sounds very much like a Pastor I once knew who would preach/teach to his congregation. He studied very hard to make sure he was on the right track and would kick the congregations ass with his words (Bible), Trying to whip them in shape for what he knew was coming and THEY wanted to look for. He didn't tolerate much silliness and kept them on the straight and narrow path he believed in according to the Bible. King James that is. He would let them leave the church if they didn't agree. He believed in agreement in order to keep the congregation together and not going in differnt directions. It avoided division in the congregation.. He WAS the type that would let the/ his church die and bring it back if he knew it needed to. They WERE serious s--t!

No I don't go to church and I don't plan on it.

But I'm hoping he hasn't changed and still kicks their ass when he sees they need it. He was dedicated when I went their.

you*re right! ..A recent talk with friends with touch the religion subject and ask more about Islam, they*re opinion is that is the best religion, the last profeta is Mohammad, that many academics recognized the importance of Ramadan for health, that the care for the poor is priority and that there are not people sleeping on the parks, or cartoons e.s.o.but asking them, well and how you explain the 1000 years of war in Middle East you*re part of? well, surprize! Envy! for such good unique religion! Mr trump, look, from a neutral point of view and with your permission to touch that soo sensitief subject which I never understand why is used as *motivation* of war from century*s that people avoid top touch it and worst, by the errs of the past to separate the way of governate from the sacred word the Old Testament written to corect and to give guidance in the rightneousness path as we choose to commit for it free will. I don*t know how hard touched the feelings of that friends by asking if Mohammad has contacts with the hebrews priests and that the *miracle* was the education, read and write in 2 months...but looking for answers and hope they will accept to read it too and and meditate about Old Testament words which ojala! they recognize it but not sure if they read it?! Let*s start with the only Commandment Jesus addet to the Moses, as He said: I*m not here to change the Law but to fulfill it! So his Golden Rules is written in John 14:11-20 to love eachother as He loved us all, and as God does it first! Than he spoke about the Truth as help the Father will send after him: John ch 15:12-14; 26-27. In the chapter 16 are answers about the wars now a day! if curious I hope enjoy the cjhalenge to discover it too and think about!
The 2John 7 tell us about the Jesus Christo born as body. And He will come again ALIVE when the time it come to receive His Kingdom from the God hands which give the Nations to his wise hands: Apocalypsis ch 21 is revealed the New Jerusalem as it used to be from the very first sinn made by Adam and Eve by listening at the envy whispers of the Devil, sinn which is already washed by Jesus love! So the question is who what envy as long that as far as Pakistan the christians are killed?
God Bless us as we love him enough to know his words his rightneousness and to follow His Son Path he gifted us with, just asking myself the proper way to thanksgiving for?!

I know this was not a post about religions. But reading the comment written by our friend Daniela and approved by the moderators of the blog made me think of commenting on her comment.

First, I did my best to understand the comment. English is not my first language and I cannot know if this is what caused the difficulty I had in understanding the comment. So hopefully I didn't misunderstand what Daniela exactly meant.

I am a Muslim and I know exactly why I have chosen to be Muslim (you can check out why in my blog dedicated to this subjject: http://WhybeMuslim.blogspot.com).

Daniela is talking about the 1000 years of war in the Middle East Muslims have been part of. The question gives me the impression that our friend is implying that Muslims loves war. Then the second question is implying the same, it's talking about Christians being killed in Pakistan.

It can take a book to reply to these questions. I will try to use my "right to answer" as a Muslim in the most brief of ways.

I suggest that our friend be open minded to the truth and the truth only. We all have been raised up believing certain things about "the Others". We should read and learn and find out for ourselves how true is anything we believe in by listening to the media or whoever.

I suggest our friend read a translation of the Quran itself, the holy book of Muslims, which we have in the original language of the book, Arabic, and of which we have only ONE version, and see what it says about war and other values. The Quran states, for one example, that killing ONE SOUL is like killing all of humanity. We as Muslims are not allowed to go war UNLESS WE ARE BEING ATTACKED.

Now here is something else that can be a pleasant surprise. Muslims are ordered, if going to war, not to kill a woman, a child, an elderly, a person retired to worship God, no matter what religion they follow, and not even to destroy a tree or destroy a house. They are only allowed to kill those in direct war with them.

Muslims were killed, by thousands, in Bosnia and in Kosovo. Sometimes up to 8000 Muslims were killed at once by Christians. We, Muslims, never said that Christians killed us. We are ordered in the Quran never to accuse one person of what another person did, even if they belonged to the same group.

Muslims paved the way for the civilization that we are living today. All that is found in history books for whoever wants to read and learn. I will briefly mention that sciences like Algebra and Chemistry take their names from Arabic, they were born in the time of the Islamic civilization. The Islamic rule in Spain, which lasted 800 years, is known as the Golden Age for Jews and Christians. Arabs and Muslims were the first in history to invent hospitals, the first was established in Baghdad.

I can't really go on, it takes books. I would just like to remind Daniela and others who think that Muslims are the only terrorists that in Hiroshima and Nagasaki alone more than a quarter of a million CIVILIANS were killed. This was not done by Muslims. In the dark ages of Europe, scientists were BURNT alive if they said something that the priests didn't approve!!!!

I would love that everyone will consider carefully what they believe about whose who are different from them, especially what they believe about Islam. They are keeping themselves from knowing and understanding a treasure.

Okay, so your friend, or co-worker gets that wonderful opportunity,job,pay or raise that you have been dreaming of.You go cold inside,then you become hot the next minute,your heart misses a beat,your head and face becomes all hot and flushed with anger,you cannot look at her except with anger or jealousy.By now,you probably have an headache.Hey,with all these physiological reactions taking place in your body,who do you think will live longer to see the next promotion,your friend or you?
Look at Life this way,be thankful for what you have,rejoice when you see a smile,laughter on the face of others,but more importantly,learn to rejoice with others,it will soon be your turn for others to do same with you.

I believe the envious people who stop themselves to learn. They invest stupidity to themselves.

I had a hard time with jealousy for a long time. Then I realized four things. 1) There is enough _________ ( fill in the blank with what you are jealous you don't have) to go around. 2) I was making the responibility of my happiness someone elses. 3) I need to be the creator of my life and not just see myself as a victim. 4) We are all given a set of weakness and talents and if you would have gotten what you thought you wanted it wouldn't have been the same for you as it is for that person who has what you want.

Let me clarify number 4 a little. Say for example it is that you see two lovers walking in the park. You say to your self if I could be with him/her I would be just as happy. Truth is probably not because there is a certain equation if you will that makes that relationship work like that. You would be a different element to the equation and would get a different result.

However there is a situation where who you are as you are fits the quation perfectly and you will get what you want. You just have to keep working at it and have patience and not et discouraged ( see #1).

Once I learned these things and applied them to my life I was cured of Jealousy what an amazingly beautiful and freeing feeling!!!!!

I think envy consumes people from the inside. It robs them of the joy they should feel for others blessings. I can't recall ever feeling envious, except when my mother gave away my toys, and when our possessions were sold at auction when I was a child, but I have felt motivated repeatedly. When I see something I lack in another's possession (whether it is a skill set, an experience, any thing at all) it motivates me to get my own. The journey is part of the adventure. I have the capacity to celebrate others success.
