Recently, I read an article from Careerbuilder.com about the Seven Deadly Workplace Sins. Last time, I gave you my take on Sloth. Today, it’s all about Gluttony.
When it comes to success, it’s hard not to want it all. And, to be honest, I’m not so sure that’s a bad thing. This, to me, is a lot like greed. If you have high aspirations and yearnings for big things, then you work hard and long and fast to get it.
But the caution here is that if you gorge yourself on just one thing - like someone sitting down at an incredibly prepared meal who later can’t push away from the table - then you lose. You become overwhelmed by that one experience and maybe too sluggish to tackle other projects or maybe even other parts of your life.
Some people think my work is my life. That’s true in a sense. But I also have time for a wonderful family and some fun, especially golf. Even then, I do business while I’m out on the links, but I enjoy what I do.
Overindulging in any one thing isn’t healthy - even if it’s work. Find a way to maintain some kind of balance and you’ll succeed.

As for enjoy your life.,as you were mentioned in your article, sitting around the table with your family, chatting happily, communicating with each other your recent ideas. That is a really a good thing.Because familyship is always the most invaluble and unique thing in the world.
I know you love sports, and are good at golf,as the proveb going "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy",I belive that you are a really good example of well combining these together.
Always learning from you!Look forward to your more fabulous achivements!
I cannot tell you how excited I was when my first blog comment was approved by the TrumpU Blog Moderator! Originally, I was just pleased that Mr. Trump was accepting feedback from such a diverse range of readers. But let's face it: You are a consummate workaholic Mr. Trump! While it is nice of you to 'make time' for a wonderful family, and it's also good of you to show up at the Tee on occasion, your main #1 focus is, and remains to be productive. No?
There's nothing wrong with that! I like that that too! But one should realize that everone has different threshholds for gain. Not everybody possesses the same Earnings Potential from "DAY ONE" that a man such as you or any other considerably successful person may or may not have been given since birth. Sir - you are doing as good as anyone could with the deadly sins. What if you were poor and THAT simply wasn't good enough? (e.g.) Good Luck with the one you've numbered Seven. Do you have someone that can check to see if the meaning of 'Sloth' did not also begin in Elizabethan England to include or encompass 'Self-Love' as well as lethargy?
Example: one of the villians in "Austin Powers the Spy Who Shagged Me"? {FAT B______}

because he is HIM, he can say outloud what so many of us think (ie celebrities) and until now, I haven't observed one topic he has discussed or commented on, that is not the truth or at least has element of it.
People hate him? oh well..of course that's expected.
The fact remains he is a genius in his own way and has done a lot for many young? talents.
I would like to comment on your recent attitude. Now that the Rosie thing has passed, you have a softer and more caring energy. Not saying you are a push over, just the opposite. This new energy I notice, is real, balanced and you are at the top of your game. It feels good, not to let others have power over what we feel. Well Sir, I believe you are taking the high road, my hat is off to you.
Keep smiling, your worth it!

The key to success is knowledge and the only way to attain knowledge is through many hours of research, in reading your blogs and responses posted, many question if you read your own blogs. I can sum up this question with two answers, you use you blogging as a reality check to ascertain if your take on articles is pertinent and as you are older than most bloggers who respond you want to know if your thinking and ideas are in tune with the thinking of the emerging entrepreneurs. When you reach an age and maturity that with hard work and financial security afford you take take your hands of the wheel and relax and just enjoy life as you are SAFE and do not need to keep achieving you loose your edge and your passion to undertake new things - the self talk of I'm OK and I have done enough is the emotion of gluttony that stalls business corporations. Businesses that stall loose focus and do not take time to research emerging trends in the market place, perceptions of their customer base and can become prime targets for take over. The second reason you blog is for research to identify what you have not uncovered through your extensive research and every ones viewpoint is different to your own ( hopefully ) it is nauseating to have a lot of people who concur with everything you say without question or critique you.
In my case I want to bring my Global project to life for the major satisfaction that it will bring, I am 50 years of age and the success that it will bring me in Retail sales, Real Estate clever purchasing and selling and income from patents that I will own for all the technologies that are developed during the projects development stages until it is revealed to the world. The scale of this project will provide far more satisfaction over and above any major building project that Donald J Trump has ever done. The financial benefits of the project will give me so much financial reward that I will be able to retire at 55. If I fall into this trap I will have succumbed to gluttony -
NO NO NO I want to set up foundations to help support my Chabad community there are many pious Jewish people who strive to stay true the philosophies of the Lubavitcher Rebbe ( who died in New York 13 years ago ), and they live below the poverty line I want to provide heavily subsidised housing, rent relief and financial assistance to them.
ALSO I have been researching many industries and technologies and see what I think the obvious but no one else does. I want to live comfortably BUT I want to continue contributing to the World making it a better place through INTELLIGENT application of TECHNOLOGY and common sense.
I have read many of your books, and seen many of the series of the apprentice and I feel disadvantaged and discriminated against as the opportunity to shine has been never been provided to Australians or for that matter citizens of other countries consider a season of the apprentice where citizens of the USA with no age boundary compete against the brightest of the rest of the world. PS reserve an interview for me I want to represent Australia ! In Asian countries people respect the older people as they recognise that they have something the youth do not have MATURITY and EXPERIENCE.
I admire you as you show the rest of the world you have Guts Determination and Stand up for what you KNOW is right.

I do not separate my work from my life. Some of my best ideas for the job have come to me in the shower, driving to visit family, in conversation with a friend, in dreams. Since I enjoy working and being my best, I find the mental effort stimulating. To make the best use of my resources - including time - it is necessary to do parts of my work during family time. I'm not on the clock, but that doesn't really matter. I never resented calls from my boss or peers at home. To me, it seems more efficient to take care of things when they cross your mind than to wait till tomorrow. Of course, answering machines, text messaging, and email have simplified that too. Since I have had keys to many of the places I worked, I have also worked in the office on my own time. For example, when I was handed accounts payable, I spent a few week ends going through all the files, so I knew what we had, and where to find it. In the long run, I have always found this time was well spent.
When you are a high energy, high performance person, the biggest challenge is finding a partner that can keep up with you. I believe you need a balance there too. Mr. Trump, in one of your blogs, you spoke of the brain as being the main factor in attracting the opposite gender. I was attracted by his capacity to care. I think the second thing that attracted me to my better half was that I had to run to keep up with him - of course, the brain is a big part of that, but so is energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
