How worried are you about work and money?
According to a new survey from the American Psychological Association, worries about work and money are causing one-third of Americans to suffer from extreme stress, driving them to overeat, drink and smoke.
Nearly half of Americans say their stress levels have shot up in the past five years, taking a toll on their personal relationships, their productivity at work, and on their health. People say they have difficulty balancing family and work responsibility and stress causes friction in their relationships with family and friends. We’ve all been there.
Many deal with it in unhealthy ways, turning to junk food, alcohol, and smoking. A lot of people can’t sleep and many develop serious health problems.
The good news is that doctors say stress is manageable. Do something that helps you relax - whether it’s exercise or reading or listening to music. And if your job’s so bad that it’s making you sick, find a new one.

It's sad that we live in a culture where many have come to accept a false reality that the only option for us is to "hang in there". No matter how tough our circumstance, many of us need to realize that adversity, life's pressures, obstacles, challenges, are a great gift, for these are in fact the ignition points of our next success. Never accept the "hang in there" mentality, grab hold of life like the gold that it is, and don't be afraid to change direction to find a better path. Winston Churchill defined success as being able to go from failure to failure without ever losing enthusiasm. If you move forward in the direction of your dreams, and purpose to live the life you imagine, you will collide with success.
