Today we showcase Ivo Verhaegh, a student from the Netherlands and his winning question.

Many students submitted questions for Mr. Trump, but the judging committee selected Ivo’s as the most interesting. Let’s take a closer look.

Ivo’s winning question . . .

“I’m 16 years old and come from the Netherlands. I’m very ambitious and I really want to be successful. I want to start my own company, I have several good ideas. Do you think it is better to go to university first to gain more knowledge and life experience? And if I should go to university, which education/course will fit best for future entrepreneurs (in the real estate, finance or internet sector) and why?”

And the answer from Donald J. Trump . . .

“Education is very important, and if you can attend school, be sure to. Ignorance can end up being very expensive. Take business courses--finance and real estate--and learn as much as you can about everything. While you are in school, keep up with the markets, local and global, in real estate or whatever your interests are or become. Maintain your personal interests and keep notes on your ideas while you are taking curriculum courses. Cover your bases, focus and work hard!”

Congratulation Mr. Ivo Verhaegh, I agree with your question about learning all aspects of your chosen field. Mr. Trump answer is as good as you can get from a mentor for your age. If you think knowledge is expensive, try ignorance! I would like to add to your question that you should diversify your expectations of the choices and decisions in gaining understanding in this world. Ivo,

Congradulations and a very good question posed! Love to learn more about your country and university school courses offered.

Would you ever study outside of your country? Maybe travel prior to college to visit other like minded entreprenuers to share common interest and goals. A great qwest...

We loved your question!

The Netherlands is a pretty nice country and we have a few very good univsersities.
I do not intend to travel before going to university. I want to finish my school first. I think I'm going to follow International Economics & Business Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. But I have more than a year for making the final decision.
