The Secret of Your Success in 2008 . . .

Blog Image

To make 2008 your most successful year ever . . . Think big!

When you were a child, would you have liked to keep crawling, when everyone else was walking? I don’t think so.

We all have to start with small steps, but the point is:

Get to the biggest steps you’re capable of taking.

Thinking small will limit your potential. Thinking big will take you places. Thinking big can get you to the top, and I can tell you, it’s not lonely up here.

Successful people like challenges. It’s our nature. Keep in sync with this basic premise, and you’ll begin moving forward with the momentum necessary for great achievement.

Striving from an early age is one secret to success. I learned to work hard from an early age, trying to catch up with my father who was a very successful developer. But you can keep striving no matter what your age or accomplishments.

These three concepts will guide you:

  1. Ask yourself why your plans are so small. Then begin to expand your horizons.
  2. Concentrate on managing your future, not your past. Learn from the past, but don’t stay there.
  3. Look at the solution. Don’t focus on the problem.

The faculty and staff of Trump University join Donald J. Trump in wishing you the most successful year ever.

Donald J. Trump is Chairman of Trump University.

MR.TRUMP, I ADMIRE YOU FROM BEING A SELF MADE BILLIONAIRE. JUST CALL ME JED, I CAME FROM A FAMILY THAT PIONEERED REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT IN THE PHILIPPINES. IM JUST WONDERING IF WHY NOT MAKE AN IPO OF THE TRUMP ORGANIZATION AND TRADE YOUR COMPANY PUBLICLY THAN KEEPING IT PRIVATE. i THINK YOU CAN BE A BILLIONAIRE MANY TIMES OVER CONSIDERING THE WAY YOU PROMOTE YOUR COMPANY AND URSELF.

Mr. Trump,
Thank you so very much for showing all of us to think Big and Positive. The problem with todays society is that people like to blame everyone else why they are not a success. We need to take charge of our own future and focus on the goal that we want to attain.
I have purchased two copies of your new book "Think Big and Kick Ass In Business and Life".
A copy of myself and one for a friend. The book is right on target with everything that you explain.
I can not think of a better example than yourself to show that thinking Big and Kicking Ass works.

The perfect example of how to promote yourself is Donald Trump! When ever your on TV, press, radio or your new magazine "TRUMP" it's always all your business ventures. Never once do you say "It's a good product, nice place etc. It's always the biggest, Best most luxurious. I thank you for your guidance and example of how be a success.

Thanks for this. I think it is hard to remember to focus on the future, not the past. I am jelous of people who have had parents who show them the ropes to an industry, this I think helps a lot. To have a guiding light, showing you the way, and get hands on experience in the field your interested in makes a big dfference, I believe. It is easy for some people to achieve because they have seen it done, but other people, have no clue what achievment looks or feels like, and it can make you a nervous wreck to get close to your dream when all you have ever known is failure.

I am not sure, but I would bet money on the fact that people who get to see parents in action achieve, are more likley to achieve in life. This is not to say that you can not change your family history, orbe the first college graduate, or be the first to make it to the top of the heap, it is just to say that it is very hard to know the way, when there is nobody to "show" you the path, and in my case, I sometimes feel like I am navigating out of a genetic mixup, and I just have no idea why God was so unkind to put me in a family where there is no other artists, no value at all for the arts, no value at all for education, no value for research, it feels like I am an alien sometimes when I compare myself to my family of origin. I am really very jelous of people who have that network of support, I am confident it makes a BIG difference.

Either way, as you said, you have to look ahead, and what I don't have is not as important as what I may have, so I keep hoping that there was a mixup at the hospitial and my real family will come and find me soon- I also hope they are cultured, and educated, and I wake up everyday wishing this wish, only to find I am still just me- so in that gap, that space of what is not real, I have learned to write, and create, and this I have discovered what not some cruel act by God, but instead it was just my journey. We all have a journey, and thanks again for telling me yours. The journey of a author is not an easy road, we are a troubled group of folks most of us end up dead, drunk, or on drugs. I feel blessed to have overcome the last two, and before I do die, it is my hope to see my works manifested in print, and plays, and perhaps film.
That is a far cry from wanting to be a PTA mom of the year......(which I really was not well suited for anyway)

Thank you for inspiring people to think big - thinking small serves so few, and is ultimately a very selfish thing. Don't ever underestimate the power of your ideas and your unique ability to contribute to this world!

People who think big have put men on the moon, created missiles that can hit a target the size of an apple on the other side of the world, cured disease and created buildings / businesses where people said it couldn't be done.

The Holy Grail to all of this is to overcome your fear so that once you have crafted your dream (as big as you can craft it) you have the courage to "step out of the plane" to execute. When one thinks of what can be collectively and individually accomplished if we all executed without fear and without limits, the mind is boggled at the potential.

Mr. Trump's most recent book "Think Big and Kick Ass" provides a great model for others to follow when it comes to thinking big. It is a highly recommended read if you haven't read it already.

Think big, discover your strengths and talent and fuel your passion towards greater success.

Best wishes for a phenomenal New Year to Mr. Trump and staff and to all the readers of this blog.

I believe it was sometime back in November, 2007, you were on T.V., which I rarely watch, and you said, "Think Big". At that moment, I took a step back from my writing pad where I was devising a new business plan... I sat back in the chair and let those two words sink into my head... I then came back to the writing pad a few moments later and wrote down, "National Photographer Group". You see, I was in the midst of re-thinking the photography business I have here in Orlando... the new working title up until the point I saw you on T.V. was the "Orlando Photographer Group", but with your simple advice to "Think Big", I ran with it. Mr. Trump, 2008 is going to be a good year, and when I am successful with this new plan I will contact you, personally, to say thank you.
