"A man in Alaska strangled his boss by putting him in a neck-hold after an argument . . ."
What was the worst thing you did on the job last year? Took an extra-long lunch? Called in sick so you could golf? Raided the supply closet for some staples and sticky notes?
As you start a new year on the job with a clean slate, here’s a look at some of the worst employees of last year, courtesy of CareerBuilder.com. (Read more here.)
An ambulance driver in West Virginia went to jail on a charge of DUI after running two red lights with a patient in the back of his ambulance. He allegedly forgot to turn on the lights and the sirens and later failed a sobriety test.
A former letter carrier in Texas pleaded guilty to stealing mail form the people along her route. She admitted opening the mail and removing items such as gift cards and money.
A man in Alaska strangled his boss by putting him in a neck-hold after an argument during a party. Apparently, the two were good friends, and they frequently roughhoused after a few drinks.
All these stories make you look pretty good, don’t they? (But I’d still advise you to watch those three-hour lunches.)

?STEALING mail FORM or FROM????
I have worked for organizations where other employees would rob our employers blind and were so intent on getting "one over" on the boss...like that was an accomplishment, instead of being positive, forward thinkers and being productive. I even tried to turn people in because they made my stomach turn to such an extent that I couldn't sleep at night. But, it is best to concentrate on yourself, and allow those committing crimes against the boss to hang themselves. Nobody likes a tattle-tale, even if you are trying to do the right thing. It's disgusting to watch crappy co-workers in action because it's as if they have no conscience, or, have developed multiple personalities...at least two...one that they have in front of the boss and then the others that they use, depending on whom they are addressing.
It is best to be on your best behavior, no matter the job, and learn the most that you can from your employer, even if you find out later that he is a jerk, because you can always take away invaluable lessons of what "not to do" once you have your own business. It is only right, that, as long as you are working for someone else, you should show respect your employer. If you hate your employer that much then find a better fit, or, start your own business. I don't think that there are any employers out there holding a gun to someone's head to make an employee work for them. You would be surprised at how many people get a great job, and then all they do is complain, and complain, and complain about it. Like Mr. Trump says, if you don't love what you're doing, then do something that you do love. I'm glad that I truly understand his message, now.
You should do one for Worst Managers of 2007. Or 2008 when the time comes. Sea World Orlando management should be among those.
This kind of reminds me of the Darwin Awards
