Are Men Smarter Than Women?

I like company of smart man,
But it never comes to me that somebody is smarter than me.
Not for a second.

Men are smarter but women are more powerful. Women are smarter but men are smarter. They are both true. Eventually, to get the goddess, you've got to become a god. If there's a god, then a woman out there must become a goddess. It takes a lot of imagination, and a whole lot of work.

I was at a dinner of men only at the table. From the minute I arrived, it was all about one-upping each other, mostly based on their knowledge about certain fascinating subjects.
I sat for the next two hours absorbing information about not only their successes, but what they knew.
It was mind-boggling because there was too much information about things I don't give a rat's ass about really.
The truth be known that men BELIEVE that appearing to seem smart will impress a woman.
Most men are not smart, they merely are parrots reiterating tidbits of gossip, information, news, based on someone else and will try to use it as a leveraging tool to add to their own star of brilliance, taking credit for someone else's accomplishments by merely speaking about it.
Authentic, genuine smart men are so few and far between.
I will say that men in business will try to undermine a woman's intelligence if he is in direct competition with her.
But the primitive reason for wanting to be smart, appear to be smart is more about the peking order between other males and truly not about in comparison to women.
The real truth when this argument comes up is that men don't believe for one second that women are smarter, esecially when they are speaking about their own woman.
In front of their woman they might say something like,"Yes dear you are so smart" (but not smarter than me) in his mind.
Men also NEED to be NEEDED by a woman, and his advise is a form of contribution, and in his mind, it shoud be valued and respected ( and applauded)....ego once again.

To be less, means only one thing, she is the dominant partner and there is something very emasculating about it! Most men would never admit it.
The proof in the pudding is when two average guys are in the presence of one very intelligent woman. They will still turn to each other for the vote and listen to a man's opinion, over an intelligent woman's opinion.
Even if she is the most qualified and even if he is the hotdog vendor outside at the corner.
Primitive instinct prevails.

We think that a person (man or woman) is sharper based upon what? It is the way of the future to think we are better than them. But, it is the person that pushes towards a prize or goal to win with themselves. Sharper with themselves. That is what we strive for in a team that fits our own path. And to be fair with themselves.

Equal rights for equal pay: Are we fair or equal in society? It has many different interpetations. And it has changed on how we inter-act with people. Are we better than them? Attitudes adjust.

Men are different and so are woman. We love charmers that have passion to strive for a goal...regarding the competition to win the prize.

As a woman in my forties, I have always felt that women are "wiser" then men. We have our intuition along with our intellegence. Smart men know this AND rely on us to use it. I am waiting for the day we have the right female U. S. President to show the world we can embrass the world on the highest elected level and do a remarkable job at it!

My intuition says Ivanka Trump could run and WIN the U. S. Presidency, if that is what she wanted to do. My wisdom says she's a perfect female candidate that Americans would embrass, we already have.

This is a very interesting topic, and I know that Mr. Trump seems to be very open-minded when it comes to the battle of the sexes. He doesn't instantly side with the men, because he is one. Mr. Trump has mentioned, on many occasions, that he has a great deal of respect for many women in business and other areas. I don't think he compliments women in order to placate them, I think that he genuinely believes what he says. However, other men instantly think that Mr. Trump is some type of mysogynistic pig because he has a lot of money, is successful, and owns beauty pageants. In this respect, most men are stupid because they are so jealous that they can't be objective in their perceptions of Donald J. Trump.

Mr. Trump, if you are reading this, my only wish is that there is another man out there, just like you - only single. I can't seem to find an intelligent, secure man who allows me to be myself. I played the dumb blonde for so many years because the men around me wouldn't allow me to speak. And, when I did, they would take my ideas and use them for their own. The really disgusting part is that I would get no credit, whatsoever. And, when I questioned the fact that I was being overlooked... I would be yeah, yeah, yeah(ed) to death, or, laughed at. I began to think that that was a woman's place in the world. I wised up... I know that I don't have to down-play my intelligence, so a man will feel better about himself.

So many men feel that an attractive woman must be stupid. And, then, the fat, ugly cows get credit for being smarter than they are. I refuse to become ugly, just to be taken seriously. Quite the contrary, as I am now training like an Olympic athlete in order to get in the best shape of my life. Becoming a shrinking violet didn't work, so, I will take it to the other extreme.

As a woman, I don't think in terms of gender, with regard to intelligence. Nor, do I feel that a rich person is smarter than a poor person. Not everyone measures his/her success and happiness by the amount of money or wealth that they have. Some people are perfectly content to live a very simple life, and, live as humanitarians...men and women. And, I'm sure that many of those people are considered to be highly intelligent.

I would like to be in a position to help others. However, I feel that the smartest way of getting to that place, would be to become incredibly rich, first. I used to feel that it would be a curse to be fabulously rich and famous, but that does not have to be the case if you have your priorities in check, and, personally, have control of your life and finances. Because, once you reach a certain level of notoriety, people and corporations begin giving things to you. Or, better yet, people PAY you to use/endorse their product! I've always been amazed at this sensation...the fact that the richer a person gets, the more they get for free. If this is the case, what do they do with all of their money? Why do they even need money?

In conclusion, I don't think that men are smarter than women, or, that women are smarter than men. Being born a man does not make a person smarter, even though a lot of lazy men would hope that would be true. It boils down to... who does the work? Who reads the books? Who really takes the time to learn things?... man or woman. Like someone mentioned, so many men use other people's sound-bytes and phrases to sound impressive. They don't have an original thought in their heads. They read the headlines and play town crier all day long. That is not only men... women do the same thing. They watch Oprah and The View, and think that they are authorit

Think that in general this is true and it is a tragedy. Wish I had the confidence to believe in my intelligence 30 years ago. Think that women may be a lot smarter than even the IQ tests register- IQ tests were developed to predict success in school- and schools were originally designed to teach men. We now know that intelligence is far more than book smarts- and when we have intelligence tests that predict success in life- may find that many women's intelligence has been underestimated by the tests. Have confidence and reach for the moon- you just might get there.

Mr. Trump,

I recall one occasion where you mentioned how one of your greatest hobbies is the company of beautiful women... when you use to fly out to the fashion shows in Europe, were you really interested in the fashions?

I've noticed Mr. Trump's preference for blondes.... but not so this time around; but still, I can't picture Mr. Trump without ever having a beautiful woman on his arm, because as one New York gossip reporter put it, "it feeds Trump's ego." Does it really matter if they're smart or not?

There are different levels of intelligence that I won't bother getting into for the simple reason that real wisdom, which is not necessarily so much an age thing as it is self-discipline, is found in personal research and discovery. However, I will state here and now that the natural tendency to challenge and fight is often a sign of higher (than average) intelligence. Perhaps this is why men have the perceived one-up on the ladies. Unfortunately, I see this as a matter of conventional wisdom rather than fact. Conventional wisdom is also coming on line with reality at an ever-increasing speed.

Personally, I have been blessed enough to have known several very intelligent women and have learned a lot from them. I haven't known any that I can recall claiming any special 'intuition' due to their plumbing, however, as women traditionally spend more time in the rearing positions, this would lend somewhat to having a more developed degree of intuition. As an increasing number of men fall into this category of childcaretaker, they too will likely develop such enhanced skills.

Besides, I say bring 'em on! The smarter, more determined and self-motivated- THE BETTER!

They can think they are smarter and that's OK. This should be a challenge for the guys out there and I firmly believe in competition bringing out the best in people.

I understand the purpose of the title of this article and it in fact works, it incites responses. In the previous article discussing foreign investment money, they were no comments. Let me say this regarding the current article of today, it is rather absurd for men and women to quarrel.

I say that because there are no two men or women that are truly equal in intelligence or abilities. Besides, it is truly impossible to measure the intelligence of any human being. Man can create a standard testing with a rating system, but that in itself has significant limitations. And with human intelligence, no scientist or professional can possibly accurately measure or quantify human intelligence.

Because no two men or women are alike mentally and we all have our own unique DNA, why must we always match the men against the women or women against men? What is the purpose? Is this a matter of self esteem? Many men through the centuries past were truly foolish in my opinion to prohibit women from learning just about any occupation desired.

Many of those same men, were taught or defined by there male mentors or fathers or even peers the image or role of a women in life. And that role was truly distorted by low self esteemed men, afraid that a women could do something intellectually better. Our country today is reaping those past actions.

Today, there is more support and opportunities more than any time in American history for women to be prosperous. And many men are getting left behind and more lack strong self esteem. Anyway, why did God create women? God created man first and then according to the Bible, God said it was not good for man to be alone, so he created the woman.

Folks, women were not created to be barefoot and pregnant. Whoever spread that foolishness in the centuries past deceived many only for the purpose of being in control. Even Proverbs of the Bible (Proverbs 31:10) when defining a virtuous women, defines a woman that not only cared for her family, but was also an entrepreneur, she knew how to make money and provide for her family. Isn't that awesome?

That was written thousands of years ago. So, again, what is the purpose of women verse men competitions persist? Who is smarter? Come on guys or gals, we were put here to work together and together to be more productive in our societies. Yes, most men in the centuries past performed and or labored and built things that make it easy for all of us today.

And because of there hard physical labor of the centuries past, many men and women are able to enjoy the comforts of technology that makes life easier enabling us more time to even write articles such as this one and to respond with comments. We need to ask questions to unite men and women together for the purposes of making our society or nation a better nation NOT who is smarter.

In conclusion, many men are not motivated to apply themselves as the men in the decades past. Today, there are more women inspired and or motivated to apply themselves and as a result, you will have more women with higher IQ's, that is simple. I believe men and women have the same quality. Now it depends to the person how they use their brain to be smart. I believe Mr.Trump admire to women so he said that women are more smart than men.

The difference is clear cut….men enterprise their strengths and women enterprise their weakness. The men take risks and most women look for the easiest way out. It has nothing to do with IQ but with EQ. I am a woman who feels comfortable enterprising her strength the same way men do….no offense but it mostly puts me at odds with women.

I think this has to do with so many things.. I always thought that women are more competitive then men, also women are more activ... behind every powerful men is a women .. we all know that's true :D We have to admitt that a women has a great power on men, of corse if she is smarter then him... well this war between sexes is so old and it will never end, finally we are like a forest with big trees and with small ones.

While Hillary Clinton campaigns to prove she is the best qualified person
to protect the interests of America, her husband Bill didn't over-estimate
his ability to convince voters, investors, clergy or students that he has
what it takes to succeed. If women really are smarter than men, don't
you think the United States would have had a female President before
2008? Sometimes it's better to have beauty with enough brains to
attract an intelligent man that you can share meaningful debates with.
At least, it would show how smart you really are. Too many women involve
themselves with men who forget to develop their brains. A smart woman
would know better. Hillary Clinton is a smart woman and she proved it when
she married a smart man.

I am a lady. I have scored 3.8 cgpa in the university and occasionally 4.0 flat. I am always into knowledge and liked to improve myself in various ways. In Asia women are still quite the subservient lot, yet myself personally I liked to be an equal with guys. I still am feminine and soft spoken yet am firm but kind. I never feel women's lib is the way to go. I am team work oriented and always look in the best of everyone. Yes in the last few years I was married and a silly subservient wife, I was told I was delusional when speaking about business but I never believed them guys, my brothers and husband. I went to wawasan open university and got into an online degree, on Sales and Marketing, well the lecturer's found me broad minded instead of delusional. I felt a surge of self confidence. Yes I agree men and women are equals in IQ and I am more successful now when I realise my true self.

A lot of men still think men are naturally smarter than women. When I worked faster or had a better idea than our department's consultants, they said, "There is a man in that girl's body."

Mr. Trump,

I once knew a man who was a genius. Everybody whispered that when he came to town. He was also a bum. He dropped out of school and lived off of his parents, and he didn't contribute a thing. That was a waste of skin. Smart doesn't mean much by itself. Intelligence is a tool, and it's value comes from the application.

Are men smarter than women? Some are, some aren't. If a person is really smart, and conveys that, just like if they are really rich, they hang a target on themselves for anyone who operates from jealousy. The jealous will try to destroy them or make them look stupid. Everyone wants to feel smart and capable, but when you are in the presence of someone who's brain power blows you away, it is hard to feel competent. People resent that feeling. It intimidates the Hell out of the majority of people, which is great for a legendary negotiator. But for an unknown entity, the most effective way to function is to underplay the power, and emphasize others talents and gifts. That person can accomplish much more with less resistance with that approach.

There is such a variety of men and women that it would be impossible to prove that women are smarter than men. You could say that a woman is smarter than a specific man, or a man is smarter than a specific woman. In this generation there maybe more intelligent women than men but what about the next? There maybe more intelligent men. So what is the use in this argument there is no definite answer. In my opinion it is just more controversy than it is worth.

It is indeed that all of us are equal. In terms of smartness we cannot really say that men are smarter than woman. There are things that a woman know that man do not know or vice versa. It is just that we have our own differences and capacity. Nowadays we must not focus on the differences that we have to each other. Our country is now facing economic crisis that’s why we must be united on how are we going to solve our problem. We must look on things that could help us on how to survive in our present situation. Name one thing that a woman has ever done on this planet earth, all the greatest scientists, philosophers, leaders, innovaters etc have been men, so that explains it all why men are smater than women

I have to comment on this, because it is so very funny. I perceive this to be true. I was working as a broker for a small supplements company. I actually talked them into giving me a brokerage cut if I could sell one of their products to a larger company. I found a rather large vitamin supplement company which wanted a product they were selling so they gave me a bogus (I found out later) agreement to give me 10% of total sales to that company. I thought I'd go up higher. I wanted to see if I could get that product into GNC. Everyone knows how big GNC is. The gentleman with the real contract who worked for the supplements company, couldn't ever get into GNC. I talked my way into GNC and got their product into that company, all done by telephone only. I became acquainted with many of the people at GNC, because I called there quite often, made my conversations short, but was very sincere in that I believed the company I was representing was being truthful about their products, etc. I was totally unaware, during that period, that they were the biggest liars ever to hit the supplement industry, but many companies, like GNC, won't look at the product, just the price, won't do a good analysis, and thus end up with a product that looks like what it's supposed to be, but after they produce, say 1,000 bottles and they test every batch for the first couple of times, they sort of give them the benefit of the doubt that they'll still give them what they thought they were getting, and end up with nothing in the bottle but a small portion of what they deemed it was supposed to contain. Liquid supplement manufacturers are notorious for diluting product. Be that as it may be, they eventually, after I got them into GNC, used me as a high ball and batted me out by saying they were letting a larger network brokerage company take over my share of the profits. I was asking 10% and the network brokerage was probably getting 3%. Dog eat dog here, even though I worked for an entire year to get them into GNC. I was a woman without any previous brokerage experience. The gentleman who I worked with was a fast talker, worked in that industry for quite a few years, but sounded like he was a Fuller Brush Man without any honesty in what he said or did. One of the gentleman at the smaller supplements company hated him, as he told me so himself. He was too transparent. I was truly interested in natural supplements, used them on a regular basis, and had great faith in what I was selling. That's was sold the product. Not because I was a woman, but because I believed in what I was doing. It's all about honesty and integrity. So much for getting trumped "sorry for the pun" in the final outcome. I'd never do it again. I actually am self-employed and doing OK. I love what I do now, so that experience doesn't matter. I'm independent of anyone else which makes me feel a bit safer. I was one woman against a group of men. The only pat on the back I got was when the President of the supplement company (Liar #1) told me "I like your tenacity!" So much for tenacity! I learned a hard lesson.

I've never met a person, male or female, who couldn't be competent at a task when properly motivated. It's all about expectation. If you expect great work from yourself and others, you will achieve beyond what you thought was possible. There really is no point in arguing about intelligence. Yes, certain things come easy for some people, but an industrious, motivated individual can compensate for this in areas you probably never even considered.

Men do themselves a great disservice by thinking women are somehow inferior. If you expect inferior work, that is what you will get. If you expect genius, you can get it from anyone. But the trick is you can't force greatness... you have to encourage an individual to see it within himself/herself.
