Call for course informationCompetition is almost always a good thing. It usually brings out the best in a person or a business if they know they are battling for a job or a client. They know they can’t win by being complacent.
But in the Democratic primary, the competition between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama may be hurting both candidates as well as their own party.
Because the fight between the two of them is, at times, getting so dirty, voters are getting turned off. Their supporters are so firmly camped in their own candidate’s court that many of them wouldn’t switch loyalties to the other candidate if their own candidate didn’t win the nomination. They’ll go to the other side.
In fact, according to a new poll, about 20 percent of Clinton supporters and 20 percent of Obama supporters say they’d actually vote for Republican Senator John McCain if their candidate doesn’t win the nomination.
They’d actual defect from their own party because this primary competition has become so fierce, divisive and nasty.
So this is one competition that may be causing more harm than good. It looks like the Democrats may need to find a way to resolve the situation quickly before it’s too late and the competition gets the best of them. But based on the obvious dislike that these candidates have for each other, I doubt that’s possible.

Vote Republican!
They are not easy people, and will have a hard time changing their minds on how to run the show. We don't expect too many more problems, but they will need to change something, in order to win the U.S. President office.
I like Obama, and I think that he is a courageous, honest, straightforward candidate! He has gotten people to pay attention, and he really cares about humanity, and really does want to bring about change. I think that he would actually try to do the things that he is proposing, not just yak about it, in order to get the nomination.
However, McCain knows a lot about a lot... and, knows WAR... he lived it. That doesn't mean that he wants us to be in Iraq forever. He's just a lot more realistic about the possibility of withdrawal and how to go about it. He is quite liberal, even though he is a Republican. He's not happy about earmark projects and seems fiscally responsible. He doesn't seem to want the position because he is arrogant. I like him. I think that he is sincere. He was a POW, and still loves this country enough to want to serve some more. Yes, he's rich. So what? He should be after what he's gone through. He's certainly paid his dues.
Bill and Hillary are filthy rich and pretend that they understand the human condition in America. I'm not buying it. They are doing great things to help others, but, they should. To whom much is given, much is expected. They've gotten a lot of what they have through shady deals. If they were really sincere in wanting to be President again, they would have done the right thing, and maybe had a bit less. People get greedy, though. Don't get me wrong... I like President Clinton, but Hillary... I don't want to listen to that voice for four years. Her tone is annoying, and whiney at times... and, she's a bit to snappy and sarcastic. And, you can't really tell "who" she is... she's constantly changing her tune to appease whomever she's speaking to... unlike Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain... they're pretty much the same...all the time. They're not just kissing ass for votes. You know who you're getting.
Barack Obama - Vice President 2008, President 2012.
Experience and wisdom with vision and passion, great combination.
Hillary is like strong wire that can transmit electricity of Obama.
They are complementary and perfect.

foreign or domestic. All three candidates show an ability to do this. The MEDIA is
focusing on disagreements, because let's face it, it increases ratings, sells newspapers,
magazines, and stimulates bloggers and internet users. That's Entertainment for the
masses. And your comments prove the strategy is working.
I wonder what George Washington would say if he were running for President today?
Or would he run? The media scrutiny, the LONG hours on the road, the wear and tear
on the body, mind and Spirit might be too much for a "normal" guy like George.
So far, we have heard hours and hours of debates based on race, sex, and religion.
Isn't this discrimination? Isn't discrimination illegal in this country? How come nobody
was arrested? I guess the laws are different when we're talking about political
candidates. Explain that to your students and children!
The Democratic Party is proving one thing, no matter how grown up you are, you can
still act like children fighting at the playground.
This is the kind of behavior you want for your leader?
Let me see, if Senator McCain is like the father, and Hilliary and Obama are like the
siblings who can't seem to get along for any length of time without fighting... who will
be in charge of the House, the parent or the child?
Only in America!
In my opinion as to Mr. Trump's blog on a divided voters danger for democratic party, I see only one solution: if both candidates were able to unite and offer themselves as a "package" (President and Vice-president) they would secure a win for democratic party in the elections. It all depends on what is of the most importance for the candidates: Personal Win or Their Party Win? If pride can be put aside - union of Obama and Clinton - may be the best solution for the Democrats. (In my so far neutral to either party opinion).
On other note your last Apprentice show was great. I guess you had to go with the one who brought in the most cash. That British Rat, what's he name?
Thanks, I love the post you submit, I try to read them all, they are a great contribution to the general public. Have you check out my origami? I learned the art through one of your presentations given at one of Trump's building in New York, years ago. I appreciated it immensely, you generosity. Ivanka is really growing up to be a leader, I know you are proud of her. Good job Dad!
However, the Replubicans, the righ-wing conspiracy, the Religious Right, and Feminism have successfully castrated the alpha male species. You can still find them on the streets and in corporate America but politicians have been castrated. Thus, today, you have a female and a ball-less candidate running for the Democratic ticket. The Replubicans can get away with their sexual deprivations because homosexuality can be well hidden. Heterosexuality is difficult to hide.
I can see it now... a smiling McCain as president and Tom Cruise singing to him on TV, "happy birthday Mr. President, happy birthday to you"...
This is perhaps the MOST EXCITING political campaign I have ever seen or paid attention to. The candidates are really doing a great job of exciting the entire nation, and those who are not excited are just not really aware of the history we are all privileged to be a part of. This is a time in our American history where two groups who are historically oppressed in politics have a spokesperson, and it is amazing that the real battles are being waged between those two candidates. Politics is a circus in America, a sad and pathetic reality I have come to accept, and while I despise this element I have enjoyed the political process and being involved in this election. I started out supporting the Republican party, but after some thought I finally decided that would just be going against every actual truth that I have come to value as my own. To be a well behaved woman at this point would make me a fake, which I hope never to be accused of, and even if those wing nuts find 100 more ways to make my life complicated I really have to say it is time to hear the voices of those minorities and the otherwise oppressed in this country. The oppressed represent a population that could if mobilized, turn this nation around and give us new legs again. It would be awesome to see the Nation get excited about the political process, but I fear that the competition has turned into the seeds of a civil war. I ask myself is it worth it to let a political competition tear us apart from the inside out, and might there be some other way to work and re-work the conflicts that seem to be presenting among the oppressed? Either way, it is to me the most exciting time in politics in a very long time, I really hope that it does not get out of hand and we can gain from the process in spite of ourselves. Remember politicians are just figure heads, they really don’t take this stuff personal and we should not get so excited about nearly half of what they say- after all when was the last time one of them did anything they promised anyway- we should all just enjoy the bliss, the rare bliss of American history where the oppressed are represented and we are somehow by default validated. All of us, who have endured slavery or torture have now a voice, all of us who have been the woman never picked for the job based on our gender alone, now have a voice- and still we can see the figure head we have long since picked over them all in Mr McCain- we are all represented and it is a true American political celebration that tells a story about our growth as a culture. We should be very proud of this milestone and the candidates have a difficult job to do- we owe them the chance to discuss issues, not sling mud- and we really owe this to our Nation as well!
This to me is like a yummy bowl of salsa- I love every bite, but there have been some bits and pieces of hot pepper that leave my mouth needing LOTS of water!
Either way I still eat more of the salsa the very next chance I get- and if I run out of chips I go nuts till I get more!
This election is a yummy salsa ! Can't get enough of a yummy salsa! It does tingle the other end if you eat too much.....
