Just yesterday I was reading about George Clooney, who apparently doesn’t want to say ‘yes’ to a return appearance on “ER”--the show that made him famous. “ER” was one of the most successful of television series, with a big fan base as well as critical acclaim. From there, Clooney went on to great success in films, and has shown himself to be a remarkable and diversified talent.

The gist of the article seemed to be that George Clooney isn’t grateful--to either the show that launched him or his former boss, or to his loyal fans. I can understand that any action--or non-action--can be misinterpreted or made positive or negative depending on the spin it is given by the media. We don’t know the whole story behind his decision, or whether he’s even made his decision.

My point is that we shouldn’t be so quick to judge. We don’t know the background of the situation, and we must realize that he’s a very busy man whose schedule might very well be unable to accommodate a guest appearance. That is likely as well as understandable.

I met George once and he seemed like a great guy. I also think he’s a fantastic actor. I say we should give the guy a chance before jumping to conclusions.

MR TRUMP, There is a guy that needs a real chance and his name is Paulson. Why don't you volunteer your fantastic real estate ability and help him and his cast of characters before it's to late.

There is no one in the world better than you at working tough real estate deals and these guys in the government will fail without your help. Our national security is at risk and America needs your help.

Kindest Regards, Bob D.

Too may people try to decide what's best for others. If Mr Clooney doesn't want to return then why should he? It's his life and only he can decide what's good for him. All the complaints seen to come from a perspective of some self-interest. As Mr Trump states people shouldnt judge. What was good for George Clooney early in his career may not be best now. Let him live his life! It's his to live.

Give People a Chance is one of MY favorite motto.

Everywhere I go or wherever I'm at and people cross my path they say that I have such a great positive personality. All I have is a GED that I passed with FLYING colors and I was 34 yrs. at the time. I'm now 38. People say I'm intelligent and every job I've had my bosses love me. But not love me enough to GIVE ME A CHANCE at excelling so I may create wealth.

I'm hoping TRUMP U will GIVE ME A CHANCE to get a piece of the pie in this crazy economy we're living in.

I would suspect that George Clooney is no different than any other professional. It is a perfectly normal for anyone to want to move forward in their career - even if a past job was a great success. We can really never go back to the "way it was."

As far as the press, this is just a job pressure technique. No one would appreciate being publicly pressured to return to a past job. As for his former boss, great leaders know that eventually exceptionally talented employees move on.

To Mr. Trump

"MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE"

A question to think is, "how much more would i believe if i've seen it than if I haven't seen it?".

The answer basically would tell me that people tend to believe more of what they've seen or heard, and judgements tend to rely on those 2 senses. I would then assume that media has high influence on how people would judge something because it is what reaches those 2 senses(sight and sound).

Sometimes we have to look beyond those 2 senses and that's where it comes down to "don't be too quick to judge". :o)

Does this make sense???

I believe ER is a great show and certainly made George famous. But Dr. House is better, even if George returned to ER series.

We should make Mr. Trumps advice a rule of thumb. Our society is quick to judge celebreties, athletes and even friends or family. Nobody can really understand what someone is going through unless they walk in there shoes! Do not judge a book by its cover!

Were I George Clooney I would not return to ER either as I have the sense this show has run its upper most course it is now simply a show like any other, and not the ground breaking works it use to be. To many hands have past through ER and in all likelihood those whom George would bid homage to have since moved on as well, if they have not it would seem that with all the thanks extended at awards ceremonies, thanks has already been given by following through with great success.

In other words one can pay lip service but it is the outcome of success that truly bids thanks in the end. Many are given a chance, few use it to the best of their ability, George used his chance gratiously and did not squander the trust extended. Should it be that perhaps ER and others owe George gratitude that he did not squander that which was entrusted to him ?

If you need to get cosmetic surgery to get a job, then maybe the job is not worth it. I do not believe that beauty will get you a job anyhow. Look at the poor fellows that run Washington DC. This is not a beauty contest by any stretch of the imagination. I would consider foreign markets that have stable economies as the new business opportunities. Maybe someone in the Trump Organization has better ideas. Please share.

Dear Don,

Boy, oh boy, do you ever know how to provoke a wide array of responses to a simple article titled, "Give People a Chance!" I was always told that my reading comprehension was, and probably still is to this day: Below Average. But it seems to me that the subject of another finely crafted article by 'the Don' was about - "not jumping to conclusions"! The fact that people do NOT do this is probably why the markets have been going haywire in the past week since that article was written. People act before they engage their brains, talking just to be heard, saying little or nothing in the process. When I see that your blog site readers are either trying to suck up to you, or, are hyper-critical of someone like yourself who has a good, strong, solid self-esteem, I almost feel sorry for you Mr. Trump. Do you ever find anyone in your daily activities who plays it straight with you? I suppose that a guy like Warren Buffet could relate to you rather easily, but what would the two of you talk about? I'm sure he goes through this too, as America still seems to be a very "RE" Active society, instead of PRO- Active. We've all apparently learned NOTHING, collectively from the recent market turmoil. Not to brown-nose, Sir, but I learned a long time ago to sit back, wait, and draw your own conclusions before jumping the gun to be part of the "herd."

p.s. Sorry I haven't visited your great blog lately now that I see the direction it's taken, Sir!

Mr. Trump I always remember reading somewhere that you said "I was surprised by George Clooney's height." In my book How Oprah Donald Trump and Jesus helped me turn a midlife crisis on its exquisite nose (a real best seller btw, don't laugh I'm serious! ) I allude to this statement which I found hilarious. But yes, no matter what the circumstances, no matter the height, religion or other predilections, I think it is important to reserve judgment till we have enough facts to deduce something even marginally intelligent about others.

Dear Donald.J. Trump

I think you have to say to him¨ you are fired¨

Personally i prefer George Clooney in ER.
He is acting better over there.

Question:

when are you writing a blog about mistakes in
the Management? I saw a lot of management mistakes
in mine work past and also wrong feelings about that with
conclusion to do it better when i am a manager.

MR Trump, what is your meaning about that? when you see
mistakes in the management? and what do i have to do
when i see that?

Best regards

Patrick

I can certainly understand George not wanting to return to ER. Sometimes I think you can give an audience too much of a good thing and they will get burnt out. His decision to not come back and do the show will only keep American wanting to see more of him and wondering what he is up to. I think it will only make him more successful and open new doors for him.

Pretty great advice coming from someone who has certainly had more than his fair share of the same. Media, gossip, and marketing can paint a person or situation from just about any angle they choose, and unless I have observed the situation first-hand, or am privy to all the facts, I have no right to assume anything about others (especially knowing the affect "assume" has). I try very hard not to prejudge anyone, but I don't always succeed. Please accept my apology for having preset ideas regarding you and your work. When I put you to the test, you proved me mistaken and passed with grace. You have my respect.

As for Mr. Clooney, since when does being grateful mean you are indentured for life?
