Since I often emphasize the importance of being aware on a global level, I was reminded by a chapter in my book with Robert Kiyosaki, Why We Want You To Be Rich, which came out in 2006. In this chapter I gave some facts about China and India that illustrate why I stress knowing something about other countries should be a priority.
These two facts alone about China were a clear indication of how that country is doing:
As a builder of skyscrapers, that is an astounding number. I also have a Starbucks in Trump Tower. But the main point is that China is a huge force, and we should know something about it. I give those two examples because they are visually powerful, but there are many more facts you would do well to find out.
India is also an economic force and I read that many people in the United States had only a vague idea about where India is and about its history. It’s a fact that 38 percent of doctors in the US are of Indian descent, and 12 percent of scientists as well. Here are some more facts about India:
The United States has been a ‘superpower’ for a short amount of time when you consider the history of the world. Are you familiar with the Ottoman Empire and how long they were the dominating force in the world? For over six hundred years they wielded enormous power. If you want to understand the world you live in, give history a chance. It’s also a good way to give yourself a better chance at success in life. As Mark Twain said, Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.

I totally agree with you about how many of us are unaware of the strides that the great nations of China and India have taken in developing themselves internally... China sometimes gets some attention as being the factory of the world but many people ignore India as a powerhouse for services that span the globe and not just within their own borders... And it was quite interesting finding out that India in 10,000 years of existence has never invaded a country. No wonder the Indians are instead concentrating on learing and advancing their country.
On a final note I would just like to point out that the fact about numbers, algebra, etc originating in India is a bit erronous. They actually have Arab roots in Egypt and Babylon.
Respectfully,
By the way, your wife and son are beautiful, I never missed one season of your Apprentice!

~~~~there is not one country never invade any other country in the history. Not to mention a big country. Unless it 's weak.
where find the statistics?
Its an economy by itself, waiting to be opened out to the world when the time is right.
I've traveled through India many times, knowing and seeing so many interesting things each step of the way. Although sometimes people say seeing is believing, we'll never truly see India until we go there and live there.
After all, when we only see what we can see, and we can only do what we can do. In the end, we'll just be what we can see and do.
The global economy lies not in domination but simply in corporation. When we learn to work together, the world will be our oyster.
China understood it. Now we're just waiting for India and the rest of Asia to figure it out.
It's interesting how Mr Trump advocates learning from history. It's even interesting how the Ottoman empire gets a highlight. Why not the other empires like the Roman empire or the British empire? What's so special about this particular empire? How come a non-muslim knows more about this empire than most other muslims? Even my mum and grand mum are unaware of this once-upon-a-time super power.
Well I can only guess why... I'm from Malaysia, and you see, school over here teaches history lessons that gives very little meaning except for memorising dates and names of obscure kings and forgettable events. Even religion studies have been separated from other subjects, from which I've learnt very little except for instructions on how to pray et cetera. It's no surprise our education system is in this disarray. If I've learnt anything from any of my history classes, it started from this: "Divide and Rule!" - the British Empire way.., source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divide_and_rule
...
You see, the country I live in prides itself to be a Muslim country, but evident to how the politics are run over here, the majority of its people thinks otherwise.
To quote BBC, one of the reasons why it's been in power for 700 years is because its "United by Islamic ideology..." source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/history/ottomanempire_2.sh
tml
For the past 100 years, I've not seen any country, claimed Islamic country or otherwise, run its country a hundred per cent by this Islamic ideology... hence the strife and many wars.
Mr Trump, I want to learn history, though somehow, I find it challenging to get unbiased historical accounts.
If you Mr Trump sir do happen to read this comment, would you please share with me the historical sources of at least this particular empire? Just so I could learn and share among my many unaware friends and family members.
...
There's already so much confusion, hatred and pain around I am right now. However, at the same time, there's a growth of understanding, love, and abundance that I see coming up.
For that, I can now see a world where we will love one another abundantly. Given, that I and we learn from what has happened - HISTORY
Thanks Mr Trump for sharing. :)
