Blog ImageI am truly excited to have Tom Green join Celebrity Apprentice. Tom is a Talk show host, writer, director, producer, comedian, survivor-Tom has had a go at many things, and very often wins.

Tom Green made a name for himself with a public access television talk show that he nurtured and grew into his very own MTV hit show, "The Tom Green Show." After MTV, he returned to his talk-show roots, and to his living room, where he broadcasts "Tom Green's House Tonight." His web-based show is free of FCC regulations and television executives and has become an Internet phenomenon. Hollywood's most accomplished and well-known entertainers make a point of visiting Tom Green's living room on a regular basis. Of course Tom's best known for feature film roles like Gordy Brody in "Freddy Got Fingered," Chad in "Charlie's Angels," and Barry Manilow in "Road Trip." Tom continues to write, direct and produce numerous film projects. Currently in post-production, Green is editing "Prankstar," a film which he wrote, directed and starred in. With his autobiography "Hollywood Causes Cancer: The Tom Green Story," Green added bestselling author to his long list of accomplishments.

Tom is a testicular cancer survivor who will play Celebrity Apprentice to benefit the Butch Walts and Donald Skinner Urologic Cancer Research Foundation. As a surgeon and a researcher, the treatments that Dr. Donald Skinner has invented have literally revolutionized the care of testicular cancer. Testicular cancer is a young person's disease. It strikes men, mostly between the ages of 15 and 35. When diagnosed early the survival rates over testicular cancer are high. Tom wants to bring this cancer into the open and shed the disease's stigma so more men will receive an early diagnosis, receive successful treatment and live long, full lives.

Let's see how Tom does in the boardroom.

We never really understood Tom Green....lol

But would of loved to have seen Tom Peters in your Celebrity Apprentice boardroom. This year the Celebrity apprentice has a lot of negative and postive people ...it should be an explosive boardroom...a good mix of celebrities. An interesting boardroom...lol

It may be interesting to write about this in our book...Tom Green and the boardroom....lol

This has to be the greatest publicity post I have ever read. You made Tom Green feel like a person that is warm, inviting, caring and helpful.

Your words gave me a sense of curiousity. I look forward to learning more about Tom the person and the cause he is bringing better awareness to.

I see you have not lost your eye for talent, hehe. I have never heard of these people but they do sound like great ones.

Shame The Apprentice does not air here in Sweden anymore. Could really do some good. But, maybe I can catch the best bits on Youtube.

I have learnt alot just watching bits of The Apprentice on Youtube actually, love the boardroom bits.

Also great that charity is involved.

By the way, if you could get Arnold Schwarzenegger into this, now that would hook me.

Are you Sarah Connor?

I want to hear about Brande and Annie! I went to NBC.com and saw the previews and the women rock! It's time we saw some drop dead gorgeous women with tons of brains and street smarts too on the Celebrity Apprentice. Hope these two last to the final four!

Hi Donald, how about you give a chance to my little girl. She is 6 and she could dance and sing a song like : YOU ARE FIRE, FIRE.... believe me will be fun.

They said health is wealth. Another one said "to achieve great things we must live as though we were never going to die".

From watching the first episode, I believe Tom Green can take it all the way. He's smart and level headed. Annie Duke also looks promising, though I think she's too agressive.

Tom Green has proved his intelligence, creativity, and team drive. Unlike many celebs, he constantly tries to participate and keep the team moving forward. He tries to keep a positive image even when he disagrees. Several of his team mates disrespect him and don't value his ideas or presence. A shame, since he is so good.

Not a big TV watcher...and never watched the show before. Accidentally found it -- and in time to hear the challenge. Since that's my business, i was intrigued. Not only does my company manage Boards - but I'm also ED of a nonproft for the comic industry. So especially tnjoyed the show - kept my interest. I agreed 100% about letting Scott go. He didn't lead well PLUS he's not a branding guy. If Trump did not choose Scott to go -- i probably wouldn't watch again. So..glad the right decision was made :) Good luck with the show! H.

Tom Green is an amazing person and an amazing talent. A lot of people overlook him because of his exploits as a youth.... you know humping dead animals isnt for everyone. I dont think he is going to win but he is the ONLY reason im watching this otherwise tripe show. Thank you mister Trump for selecting my countryman, Tom Green.

I'm a big fan of Tom and have been for a long time. I think he was a great selection and might even have a chance to win the whole thing. I am realy impressed with the way he has been playing so far.

On another note, I miss Dice and think Herschel should of got the boot.

Extremely disappointed in the firing of Tom Green. He was the only contributor that was team minded and not egocentric.

Clearly Rodman should have been dumped. Tom simply tried to cover his ineptness and indiscretion knowing Dennis makes a curious draw for promotion purposes only...the guy makes no sense for anything else. Tom put the dress on because it was clear Rodman had no interest in going back to old schtick .

You have lead us thru 3 themes very "women" biased, and although I am a woman, I would prefer to see a project more gender neutral...
That being said, your firing of Tom Green, my fellow Canadian, has caused me to lose interest in the show....the world is NOT run by American knowhow anymore, it needs to be more international in flavour for the rest of the world to care to watch...

There is your hint to get MY interest in watching any further apprentice shows.

Even though I'm in the USA I've mainly been watching the Apprentice UK. A friend told me Tom Green was on the show, and I was intrigued. I know he seems fairly intelligent, but comes off as a goof. I'm not a huge fan of his comedy (or those movies), but some of his other content has made me laugh. I tuned in (thanks Hulu, does anyone still subscribe to cable?) and tossed it on the big screen, watching all three of the episodes back to back. Pretty fascinating! Definitely added a different dimension to the guys team, as does Jessie. I don't know how I feel in that most of the show is about who has rich friends to bring money, it seems like it skews the underlying challenge. I know all the money is for charity, but it's hard to judge the true efforts and success of the team, as was possible in the normal versions of the US version and UK version of the show. Bummed to see Tom go, definitely hurts my interest in seeing the rest of the show. I knew he wouldn't last to the end.

Mr Trump, I think the way you fired Tom Green was absolutely disgraceful and reprehensible. You invite the man on your show (and he is truly a self-made celebrity) and then treat him like the self-absorbed idiot Dennis Rodman truly is. You act like you're creating some kind of dynasty, but I really wonder if you've got any money at all, let alone common sense. And grow up, man. Get crew-cut and deal with it!!!

I'm positive Donald Trump will never have a woman as beautiful as Drew Barrymore, let alone marry one. Jealousy will get you nowhere, big guy. :)

and to Mr. D. Trump website comment approver lackey: I don't expect you to post the above comment, but we all know it's the truth. how does it feel working for a big brave self-proclaimed financial genius that can hardly keep a casino running without buggering off out the backdoor before it implodes.. a guy that can't even be a man and appear anywhere without his pathetic comb-over or whatever the heck it is... :)
