This is my essay.Hope you like it.You know, I `m just a student.
Small World Big Dream

Guten Tag,my dear judges.I`m the speaker. My Chinese name is Wang Zipeng.My English name is Lord Voldemort.Okay,todoy is my great honor to give you a speech,the topic of it is:Small World,Big Dream.

As we all know,the hi-tech is developing very very fast.So now,we can use computers or cellphones to communicate with people faraway.We can travel by train or plane. We can do shopping in our own house, only using our eyes instead of every part of our body. That reflects a fact. The world is getting smaller.

Yet, somehow. We find that we are in trouble. And there must be no trouble. The small world is so perfect that we can do everything in an instant. No, No, No… It`s just the the appearance. In fact some of our dreams become smaller and smaller. Some of us just make dreams about themselves. They don`t care about others at all.They have atrophied hearts,so they have atrophied dreams.

There is a good example---financial crisis. As we say,the world is getting smaller.so we can trade indoors. We trade indoors, so we can`t see the world clearly. We can just see our own house. So some of us say: My dream is to get a bigger one. They begin to realize their dreams.They borrow a lot of money from the bank and buy a bigger house. Soon.,truth hits them that they cannot pay the money back. So the financial crisis begins.All over the world. Panic everywhere.Their small dreams not only crash themselves,they also crash the whole world.

A smaller world needs a bigger dream. A bigger dream needs a bigger heart. A bigger heart needs a better human being. We can make the world smaller. So why can`t we make our dreams bigger?

Thank you for that link. I think that no matter what the world economy brings, there are ways to work around the situations wherein we find ourselves. One of my favorite quotes, is "The definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing and expecting different results" I also heard it said "If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got" - origin unremembered

We need to try new ways of looking at business, social issues, and relationships world wide. To succeed, we need to identify the needs and them find ways to fill them profitably. Instead of treating symptoms, we need to identify causes. These businesses were great examples and inspiring.

Not only is our success critical to our "weakened business state", as you put it, but so is the idea of a hopeful future, where we all can communicate our goals, our futures, and our business values, for example, saying, "Lets make sure that we stay away from potential pitfalls in the future, and stay on top, so that we can be successful, and make the best of our businesses, and our communities." It is great that there are ideas that fit the notion of pulling together, and making sure that things work out for the best when it comes to small business owners. Not only can small business owners benefit from this kind of knowledge, and idea sharing, but so can major corporations, and big businesses alike. Thank you.
