As an Olympic gold medalist, most people know about Scott’s many accomplishments, but he’s also had an equal amount of challenges along the way. He’s a champion on and off the ice.
As an ice skater, a television commentator and as an entertainer, Scott Hamilton is an instantly recognizable figure. He has won 70 different titles and awards, including a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics, but whenever I see Scott, I always think of him as a classy gentleman who always sports a smile. In 1980, the year he finished third in the US Figure Skating Championships, he made millions of American's proud as they watched a jubilant Scott carry the American flag into the Winter Olympics opening ceremony.
Scott is a member of the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and an inductee of the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame. In 1981, he won gold in the World Figure Skating Championships. Scott won gold again in 1982 and 1983 at the U.S. and World Championships, and, of course, the gold medal at the '84 Olympics in Sarajevo. He also won the World Championships that same year. As an amateur and professional skater, and as a TV commentator, Scott never tires of sharing his love of skating, sports and athletes. He also co-founded, produced and starred in “Stars on Ice” for 15 years. Last month Scott released his new inspirational book, The Great Eight: How to Be Happy (Even When You Have Every Reason to be Miserable).
Scott is a cancer and brain tumor survivor. He plays The Celebrity Apprentice for the benefit of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, www.chemocare.com/cleveland_clinic.asp. Scott is passionate about cancer research and helping children. A tireless fundraiser, his goal is to see cancer cured within his lifetime.

I will be watching him and praying that a cure for cancer will happen in his lifetime.
If he needs help raising funds for such a worthy cause, I would be happy to volunteer my time.
He is a champion that deserves to be recognized on and off the skating rink.
He did a good job on the first episode of the celebrity apprentice. He was a little low key. Would like to see more of his views in the boardroom.
Look forward to more...
Scott, your character and patience stood strong against Tom, who I feel IS a character. So you made a mistake on naming your character EEE. I'd rather bank on that mistake in the long run than know in my gut than Tom will make a mess of progress in future challenges.
Please think about how to get him back.
Keep being the person you are Scott. You are admired.
I am sorry to have missed this series of celebrity apprentice because of you, I hope to see the rerun at some later date so I can pick apart all the comments regarding your potential because really I don't think Trump is looking for potential he is knocking off the good competition erroneously.
Trump does not realize our 1am ice time put us in a class all of our own.
I grew up with Liz Manley on the ice and I have every ounce of faith in your potential you have lost nothing. Trump cannot be Canadian with Canadians you were fabulous !
When I see Carol Alt on infomercials I was relieved Trump let you go, your so much more than that.
The letter Zed would have been awesome, I hate hearing the letter Zee its so unprofessional Zed beholds so much more confidence.
But really Scott was the best man the rest are a mess, an absolute mess.
What a bomb and the campaign failed because an American rep of Zappos thought he had ownership on the letter Zee.
I won't shop at Zappos not because of the pitch from the teams but because of the company itself who is not reflecting Canadian content.
