Last week there was an article on Forbes.com titled Genuine Business Lessons from Donald Trump by Shaun Rein, who is the founder and managing director of the China Market Research Group. He writes for Forbes on strategy, leadership and marketing, and I found his insights to be right on.

All of them are helpful to anyone interested in success, and here are a few for your review: 

  • Trump has mastered the art of defining the core values of his brand and leveraging his brand equity to appeal to a wide customer base. In a time when consumers are seeking to stretch their shopping dollars further than ever before by buying brands they trust and know are of good value, companies absolutely need to define themselves and differentiate themselves. The winners will be those who carve out and cultivate their brand positions. They can take many cues from Trump. 
  • Trump has been so successful in large part because he has managed to build a lifestyle brand around the luxurious and successful life that he lives and most people aspire to...his new ventures are selected to dovetail with his core image.  
  • When he sells a suit in the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection or says “You’re Fired!” on his wildly successful The Apprentice, consumers connect. They believe that a man who has made and lost and re-made billions knows what a good suit is, just as, when they see him dressing down a contestant on his TV show, they believe he knows what it takes to be a successful manager. 
  • Trump realizes that sales and marketing is 24/7.

We thought it was a very good article.

There is a lot more info. in that article about target branding in the world markets.
There are some very well thought out strategies in those markets. Even China is changing with other world nations on free trade issues. The CEO MATERIAL executives have very bright futures in this down-turn economy and it's global Super Branding in the world market.

The Trump name does a fantastic job in the global super-branding. We thought the new revised website of Trump.com hits that market very well. Websites that attain world markets can be used as prime examples that have learn how to brand their product, service or it's franchise.

Our branding was formated with our own inspired websites that captures the essence of who we are...
It does stay true to ourselves and does brand our Company profile.

Mr. Trump did a fantastic job in branding his name in the global super brands...and it's world markets. The network of Trump is starting to hit its own path with other allies that stay independent but inspired to help their markets and maintain integrity. Working together. Sales are 24/7 by global branding in other CEO global websites and it's world markets.

Hi Donald, I will take it 100%. Sales and Marketing is truly 24/7. Everyhting we do, everytime we talk everywhere we go, we do the talk, that's what I call consistency and integrity. We must be and look like what we are.

This is just the surface of the marketing you and your organization do. You are all that and much more. The more I read of you and your accomplishments, the more I understand just how exemplary you really are, and in a broad range of endeavors and interests. You have earned my respect and appreciation.

Praise always speaks much louder coming from others - that is why word of mouth is so effective.

I am amazed again. Your sale means are very useful and they are very realistic and believable and honest. And in the same time you are demanding and tight. You don“t have to own the house, you can hire it and give your name for consumption. But one must have the famous name and beyond that your name must be that kind of which have a good reputation as you Mr Trump have. I admire and respect you and your wisdom again.

Due to the recent issues that have unfolded with Miss California, I for one have lost a lot of respect for Donald Trump after his harboring of the lyes that Kari continues to openly speak. I find it odd that you would fire Chloe Kardashian for "Lying" AKA not telling you but this woman flat out told the lye and then continued to lye after proof came out. This woman is not only unethical but also a moron!

Mr Trump,

My business partner and I paid you $10K to reserve a condo in Trump tower New Orleans. We were told that we would have about 30 days to review the contract and either go forward or opt out and receive a 100% refund. That was last year. We still haven't received the contract for review. The project has been delayed or canceled best we can tell. And nobody is responding to inform us when we will receive a refund. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

I thought the point about defining and differentiating was key. When people come to build an association in their mind with a brand as pertaining to something specific- as Trump with quality/lifestyle, the rest becomes easier. It's hard to tell someone how to be successful. In the end your company is you. Sometimes it seems lots of people learn this and that here and there, but in the end they fail due to their own limitations.

So how to increase those limits?

You have to accept the fact that you don't know it all. You can't learn if you're afraid of beeing wrong. If you're wrong, then you're wrong, learn what's right. That way you'll learn and get stronger. Remember that there is nothing bad about beeing wrong, only to sit by your old ways and what is wrong because you can't face that in fact you're wrong. It's how you as a person grow. And since you're company is you, it's very relevant.

That way, eventually you'll learn, hopefully. If not, you're probably not so smart.

You can not be afraid to fail and make mistakes.

To master success you must first learn to master failure. And there will probably be more failures than successes.

I live this way, and it's great.
