Donald Trump's Biggest Challenge

The following question was submitted to "Ask Donald Trump" by a Trump University member.

What was your biggest challenge as one of the top entrepreneur’s in the world?

Entrepreneurship takes patents, skill and a lot of hard work. In the early 1990’s I was many millions of dollars in debt, the markets weren’t doing well, and newspapers had reported my demise, that I was finished. But I didn’t believe it for a second. I focused on the solution, not my problems, and refused to give up. I became more successful than I had been before.

Mr. Trump,

I admire your perseverance. I imagine you felt a tremendous amount of pressure. It takes a great deal of personal strength to hold your head up without encouragement.

What I would like to know is what did you learn from that challenge, and what do you feel is the biggest challenge America faces today?

KeyS of success

Along with Real Estate deals you learned to diversify both your talents and assets.
Your television and golf deals added to your experience and networking.
Certainly your connections became a global power.
The fact that you didn't only invest your time and money in the United States proves that your
business's have grown because of your willingness to try something new.
Your confidence shows through in the way you speak, dress and spend your time.
You don't drink which also helps you to stay focused and healthy.
You have good friends and a family that loves you.
Above all, you treat people with respect and raise money for charities.
These are qualities that make you a person who is valued far more than your bank accounts.
Your success reminds me of a story someone once told me.
"Once you have the ingredients and knowledge, you can burn a loaf of bread but you always know how to make more. One or two loafs of bread won't make you a baker, but practice will."
You are successful because you keep practicing and learning more.

There's no doubt about your ability to see the potential in a project.

What would you say to those who want to succeed, who may have to support a family, and one of their kids is Autistic?

As long as it is part of your plan, quitting is not an option.

Ofourse sometimes you quit things for various reasons, valid reasons. But if you want something, and you know the way to get it, and it gets hard, then you can't quit. How are you then going to get what you want if you quit just because it gets hard?

It's just a winners strategy, it sure better be, because I'm using it.

My grandfather advice to keep studying hard and don't give up. "a minute's success pays the failure of years."

To you, the Don, the Godfather of Green:

I wish you and your dynamic family well.

There is a saying that: "When the going gets savage, brutal, rough; the tough, strong, resilient get going."

The difference between coal dust and a diamond is that the coal dust could not take the pressure, but the diamond did. That's us. Strong Diamonds.

Sincerely, your friend, Nimrod

This is a great advice! Focusing on the solution will take care of the problem, not the other way around.

Mr. Trump:
With Michael Jackson death and the media reporting that he is 400 million dollars in debt, How would you handle his asset if you were named in the will? Was it a good ideal for him to put every thing in trust?
Sincerely,
Mary Hartsfield

Mr. Trump,
I have always read your books and admire what you have accomplished. I also have always admired what a smart and fair businessman you are. How would you go about getting money back from someone who owes you? For seven months I have been calling your Trump Institute in Boca Raton, FL about a refund they owe me. The people are very nice and tell me weekly that "your refund is approved and is in the system to be processed." I'm wondering why it is taking seven months to get my refund. For the first time in my life I find myself unemployed and the $1,400 owed to me by the Trump Institute is an enormous amount to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so very much.
