You Can Be in Charge

That’s an empowering thought. It’s also a real possibility. If it seems you are being thrown curveballs every day, that means it’s time for some strategy. In short, you need to be bigger than your problems in order to handle what’s being delivered.

Here are a few things to think about.

  1. What is your creative capital? Many of us have hobbies, knowledge and experiences that can be turned into something useful in the marketplace. Give this some comprehensive thought. You probably have talents that could be further developed to create a career.

  2. Are you lucky? Some people seem to be naturally lucky. Another definition of good luck is the ability to turn bad luck into good luck.

  3. Be pro-active. Do not be passive or fearful. Just taking the next step can get you to better and even great places. Start today.

  4. Be objective and strive to be your own counselor. I listen to others but I know the final decision is mine and I hold myself responsible. That in itself is empowering.

  5. If you haven’t given history enough attention, start doing so today. Also, realize you are in a pivotal time in history, and see it as a challenge as well as an opportunity.

Whether you are a student or an entrepreneur, learning to take control will do wonders for your future as well as the present. If you start today, you can be in charge.

Wow!! That is so apropos. We had this very conversation in our morning meeting today. Taking responsibility for your own actions and outcomes. Holding ourselves accountable for missteps builds stronger character in us all.

We could all use some of that...TRUE STRENGTH

Great value add Mr. "T".

In every business venture it takes a courageous individual to take risk and determined mind to pursue for want you want to achieve. You need to be optimistic no matter how uncertain it was, that part of being into a business everything is always a possibility and risky. Risk being inherent in business should not threaten you, instead convert every risk into a great business opportunity. The appearance of Project Runway Season 6 Episode 1 means Project Runway is under way on the Lifetime channel – recently poached from Bravo - and millions will be watching the set, to see the tension under fire, the ridiculous impractical clothes, the expert observations by Tim Gunn, the ridiculous impractical clothes, Heidi Klum, and the ridiculous impractical clothes!

Thank you. This is a great subject . Empowering yourself and believing in your ability to create situations that you want in life is not an easy path. While doing research about symbols and dreams for an art project I am working on, I found it interesting to learn how much information can be gleaned at a time when we least expect it... while sleeping.
During the dreaming process, fears are often the "juice for action." What we may say we would never do or try in the daylight, becomes an exciting adventure in our dream. Solutions to problems can be traced to a recent dream or one that we forgot about during our hectic, busy hours.
I never exclude the notion that "spiritual help" is available to us. I don't believe that a man or woman can control everything they encounter in life. Philosophers, scientists, Real Estate mogels, and ordinary folks all share something in common. To better understand and prepare for the unknown
is a daily activity that never ends.
Perhaps the unknown is what makes life interesting. Plans often change, and we learn from our mistakes. Being responsible for our actions will help make better plans. Maybe, recording our dreams can help us make better plans and feel more satisfied with our choices.
I try to keep an open mind and I am finding the study of dreams and symbols fascinating.

Mr. Trump,

This post is full of great advice, and you were right, it left me a few things to think about.

Unfortunately for many of us, it is easier to see these things from a distance than up close when we are right in line of those curveballs and sometimes it isn't possible to really be bigger than your problems - but that doesn't mean you have to let them keep you down. You just need to identify what the problems really are and their sources to remove or reduce them. By recognizing them as challenges and opportunities, it makes the experience an avenue for growth.

While it helps to look at other people - such as you - for examples and inspiration, we are each unique, and must find our own unique solutions. It is easy to sit back and judge others for their choices, but without actually experiencing the situation, in that particular person's shoes, we are really just exercising opinions - not facts.

KeyS Thanks for sharing your wisdom and perspectives.

Today, I find myself amazed at the timing of this post, as I find myself dealing with major and potetially dangerous problems at college. When I find myself in tough spots, I ask myself, "What would Trump do?" and take that course of action. Oftentimes, that strategy works, and I have garnered the respect of peers and professors while showing that I'm someone you don't want to get into a fight with. Guys, do what I do if you're in a bind. Ask yourself "What would Trump do?" and go for it. Like many situations, it may require careful planning and research, but no matter what the situation or how bad, stay strong and don't give up.

Thank you very much Donald !!

Just this morning when walking ( still walking not driving ) to college... I was thinking about how to take control of my own life...

I realized that there are sometimes when life is taking control of ourselves and things are different when we grab the wheel of life.

This strong message you just posted really re-inforce my beliefs.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us,

Best Wishes,

Your points are so true. I keep telling my 32 yr old son who was laid off almost a year ago from a web developer job that it's up to him to make it happen, be it business or personal. Waiting for someone else to hire you in a tight job market is like waiting for a bus when the line has been moved blocks away. You can get close but you won't get a ride without finding out where you need to be. Whether it's a job or creating one's own position by leveraging your creativity and hard work, those who make the best of it and forge forward get further than those looking behind them. Thanks for the inspiration you are to so many, Mr. Trump!

Fear only tells me that I don't have enough information. All information "volunteered" is ususally 99+% false, misleading or partially true. Only I can determine what is right for me. What excites me about Trump University, I am taught by people who depend on my success to deliver theirs. There is no better combination than a win-win. Being cautious is only good to a point. The final decisioon is always mine. NO EXCUSES. GREAT LESSON.

I like what you said about beeing pro-active. Sometimes, when you're not the most life-experienced individual, you're perhaps not sure in what direction to move in, but you have to move, listen to your instincts and do what you believe is right and what you have the right to do. Good role models is a big plus.

1. What is your creative capital?
I am lucky to have artistic relatives and I have got some invitations to art exhibitions now in this Autumn. It is great to get this kind of chance. My daughter is also drawing portraits as a hobby and for sale.

2. Are you lucky? We could ask if we are lucky in our daily work or are we doing such a work that brings happiness to us. It is the most important thing in our daily life. If we are working to someone else so we must do often things which make this other person happy but we get the salary about that work and maybe are forced to do things without happiness. Very often we do things because we have to do or we think we have to do. There is the difference.

3. Yes, to take the strategial first step forward to the different is the hardest and often fearful. But you must think what is the thing that you are afraid, are you afraid of yourself. We all have hidden talents and potential that we even are not aware.

4. "......I listen to others but I know the final decision is mine and I hold myself responsible". This is it. The final decision is ours.

5. The History of Future is written today.
