The following question was submitted to "Ask Donald Trump" by a Trump University member.

Question:
What is the best thing your father Fred C. Trump ever taught you in your lifetime?

My Response:
He always told me to “know everything you can about what you’re doing” and that was simple but wise. I’ve followed his advice and it has proved effective.

He also gave me his 4-step formula for success:

  1. Get in
  2. Get it done
  3. Get it done right
  4. Get out

This is also very good advice and I’ve followed this formula. It works.

Side point:

Blog ImageMy first book, The Art of the Deal, gives background information on my father and how he started out in business, and about our family life. It’s a good source.

As usual you have provided great advice, Mr. Trump! I'm working on #4 in your success formula, and for me this is the hardest thing to accomplish.

And sir, you practice what he preached.

DEAR DONALD TRUMP!

The conjunction of FT´S "Know what you do" and DT´S "Love what you do" define the area.
Then, within this area, the 4-step formula becomes a brilliant diamond.

Sincerely,

"Know everything you can about what you are doing" are great words of wisdom, and I think that they should apply to everyone who hears them; this is the best advice to become a happy, successful professional at whatever it is in life you set out to do or achieve, and it is how experts are born . When it comes to accomplishing what you want to accomplish in life, it is best if you are well informed about what it is you are doing, so that you will be ready to perform the task at hand. Great words of wisdom.

Actually you gained a son

I've had that formula in the back of my head for quite some time. It's good.

I also think that in order to know everything about what you do you also need to love what you do.

Very good advice here.

These four advices forms the basic to the work you are doing and are also at the same time very hard to achieve. You can quite easily get in to things, but get it done is already the challenge. It demands concentration and self-dicipline and then comes the demand to get things done in right way. You must also be generous to you, you can always ask help if you can not do all the work by yourself. It is a precious skill too. And the last thing is get out from the task or situation and forget it and to look forward.
These are very important advices.

1. Get in
2. Get it done
3. Get it done right
4. Get out

Dear Donald Trump
I am a college student in china.
"know everything you can about what you're doing" and in Gwenda Blair's book, record your father motto"You can do it if you try."I think there are some differences between those sentences.
I think the second one full of challenge. And the first one full of conservation. what is the reason cause it?
