I think there was a collective sigh of relief from all Apprentice fans during the last episode when Mr. Trump announced that Omarosa and Piers would no longer be on the same team. I’m sure most of us were waiting with baited breath to see what happened next between these two volatile characters, but it was a good decision overall that allowed both teams to be more productive on the task for this episode.

So when Mr. Trump lined up both teams to give the task assignment and asked Piers how he felt that Omarosa was no longer on his team, I thought Piers’ response was very diplomatic. He said, “Whatever, that was yesterday.” And that clearly signaled that he was ready to move on from the Omarosa debacle and to continue to work on the tasks as diligently as he had been throughout the season. But Piers, in line with his traditional British humor, did make what I thought was a wonderfully clever comment when he described the loss of Omarosa to his team. He said it was like, “Trading the devil for Nelson Mandela.” Regardless of what Piers does, his British charm always seems to come out in the end.

Each team was assigned to create a live sales pitch on QVC for products offered on the network. Each team had to choose from six potential products. And both teams wanted to sell a stepladder that converted into a utility cart. By flip of a coin, it was decided that Hydra would sell the LadderKart. And Empresario, after losing, chose to sell a handheld sweeper. Stephen Baldwin was project manager for Empresario and Marilu was manager for Hydra.

Things looked shaky for Empresario when Stephen decided that they were not going to rehearse their segment on QVC and he was going to allow Trace to just wing it. It was an odd decision on Stephen’s part, because the team appeared to have the free time to run through a rehearsal. But Stephen just decided to rely on Trace’s charm to sell the product. It would have been a wiser idea to do the extra legwork and prep the segment ahead of time.

At Hydra, Marilu was chosen to do the commercial for QVC and Carol Alt made an interesting decision. She opted out of performing in the commercial, even though she had worked for QVC for five years. She felt that she and Marilu did not have the right chemistry to go on air together, because Carol could not keep up with Marilu’s chattiness. When the team agreed with Carol, that also posed an interesting possibility as to whether that was the right call or not. Marilu’s segment came out well. Mr. Trump and Ivanka, who were watching from Mr. Trump’s office, did comment that she was a little too talkative during her segment. But they complimented her energy and enthusiasm over the product.

Trace Adkins continued to display his incredible ability to relate to all people in a very laid-back fashion. He delivered his message for the sale of his product and added a clever demonstration by dumping a cup of nuts and bolts on the floor and picking them up with the sweeper, which highlighted its effectiveness.

When the teams went back to the boardroom, we learned that Hydra had sold 703 units and Empresario sold 716. Hydra claimed victory for outselling Empresario and Mr. Trump began questioning the contestants about their performances during the task. It was interesting to note that Stephen Baldwin said that Omarosa did an “excellent job.” Although we did not see as much of Omarosa in this episode, we’ll have to speculate based on Stephen’s comments that she actually calmed down and participated in the task more, instead of being divisive.

When Hydra was alone in the boardroom with Mr. Trump to review what went wrong, there was a very interesting moment if you carefully observed Carol Alt. The issue was that Hydra admitted they may have lost because they did not know about an Easy Pay plan that QVC offers for the sale of its products. The plan allows sellers to offer customers installment payments for the purchase of items. It was discussed in the boardroom that Empresario may have won because they utilized the plan. Marilu admitted that she did not know about the plan and would have used it, had she been informed. But then the attention turned to Carol, who again has five years of selling experience at QVC. She was directly asked by Mr. Trump whether she knew about the Easy Pay plan, and something very unusual happened. Carol paused a little bit too long and then her facial expression contorted somewhat and she issued a denial that she knew anything about the plan. Her teammates, especially Piers, were very skeptical about her answer and I think the viewers, if they watched her body language and facial expressions carefully, might have sensed that her answer was not exactly credible. I’m an attorney and I know body language very well from cross-examining witnesses on the stand and Carol’s brief hesitation before she responded, and her expression, really alerted me to the possibility that she might not be as innocent as she portrays herself.

There was some humor in the boardroom when Mr. Trump pointed out that Piers was sweating for the first time. I think Piers really felt like his number might be up after the last episode with theBlog Image fighting and corrosiveness with Omarosa. But you could see that he sincerely wanted to stay and was dedicated to try to earn additional money for charity. So the end result is that Marilu Henner, who is a terrific worker and a very dedicated employee, got the ax on this episode. It came down to a typical scenario where Mr. Trump had to blame the project manager for the failure of the task. He very graciously dismissed Marilu by telling her that she was a terrific woman and then added his comic tagline, “Now get the hell out of here.”

Hydra lost a great teammate and a very dedicated worker. But sometimes when you’re project manager and you don’t pull out a win, the buck stops with you.

We can argue that one person should have known more about easy pay options. However, we thought if you are selling a product on live t.v. that most of us, would have thought of checking into an easy payment plan. To us, they are all guilty of sleeping on that issue!

We suggest for a T.V. commercia on the apprentice: Bring The Donald intune to promote TrumpU. And its value. They could of used it!

I must say that Piers was alot calmer this time...he was able to control himself a little more....maybe he was slowing down on the amount of red bull he was drinking :op

I was very surprised that Marilu did not choose Carol Alt to join her in the boardroom because you could see in her expression that she lied. Even though Marilu was very passionate, i felt that it was hard to follow her because she was going so fast and moving around everywhere that it was hard to keep track of what was going on...you end up listening to her and focusing on her that you just miss out the important part which is the product.. You could see it in her partners face that he was wanting to get a word out but couldn't find a chance. There was just too much talk and energy. Even though it seemed a little out of control with the amount of energy she was throwing out, she still sold alot of product .

I think it was smart of Stephen Baldwin to allow Trace to do it unrehearsed for one reason. I think it left Trace in a more comfortable position to just be himself and see the positive parts of the product as he would see it as an ordinary person would and just discuss how useful it could be. This leaves Trace with an open mind rather than all kinds of things running through his mind from rehearsing that could leave him a bit scattered and nervous during showtime.

I believe the vacuum was a good product because it's an everyday product and it also makes some tedious cleanups easier. Although the ladder is a multifunctional product, there are limits to how often it can/will be used. I believe that the vacuum was overall the better choice of seller for a home/office/garage product and the Easy Pay just helped increase sales.

Benefits of Products....

1. Step ladder/utility cart :

- helps get to or reach to higher places
- carries heavier luggage, materials, objects
- doesn't need much storage space

2. Handheld sweeper/vacuum

- Cordless and rechargable
- Can be used anywhere
- Doesn't need much storage space
- Can pick up what most vacuums can't

What it really comes down to is what product would be used the most in regular living and the cost of the products. With Easy Pay, Stephen was able to break down the cost into smaller payments which boosted sales. I am assuming the stepladder was not as high a cost(which really makes Easy Pay less useful) and the usefulness of the product in everyday living was not as high.

Is this what the producers want us to believe? That Piers is clever, charming and diplomatic? There is no way that anyone can think that Piers is devious, conniving, and thinks he is better than anyone else. And what did he do on this task? Even if he was monitoring the activity- he clearly did not do anything. He has given no creative input on anything- and he is always there is criticize. He is poison for his team- except that he is able to get money for charity- and I think that that is mainly because the givers know that he is able to reciprocate when they are raising money for their causes after the show. Think that both teams could have used their time to better advantage. No one really tried to get a good picture of how QVC worked and Empressario was lucky that their rep gave them the information. Neither presentation was really all that exciting. Marilu was nice not to bring Carol to the board room- no one believed that Carol did not know about Easy Pay- but think that this task was lost due to Marilu taking on the spokesperson role- she just was not a good spokesperson- maybe earlier in the show- but not by this time.

I've been holding my tongue all week.

I have more holes in my tongue than a collander at the moment, and so I must speak. Trace was not diplomatic he was destroyed by the fact that after making it as a celebrity in the hyped up world of the music industry, he has arrived at a point which, he had become a

vacuum cleaner salesman.

My heart bled for the poor man as he sat pensive before the camera shoot.

To me Trace was not a winner he was simply miserable and worried joining the show meant he was demoting his career's reputation over live broadcast. Trace is very energetic in his music videos and I have yet to see that personality in the entirety of Mr Trump's show. He does not appear to be having the same amount of fun. In real life Marilou is very tame by comparison to Trace on camera. I have to say I was slightly shocked to see his music videos last week. It was not what I expected to see.

Now having said this much I understand Mr Trump's tactics which is to make wealth out of every walk of life not just that of the rich and famous, so a vacuum cleaner is an accessible product for the average citizen to sell.

Yet I could see with every ounce of Trace's energy he was struggling with his sense of dignity. I think Steven knew this fact, and as a good agent, did not give anything away for free, no rehearsal, no fringe benefits casting a superstar to be a vacuum cleaner salesman.

I might be wrong, however that was my take on this week's edition of the show. My take, Steven Trumped Trump.

As for Carol, I have no use for her. We have trust issues now, I would never hire her.
I could not see her raising as much money as Marilou with the same sweat equity, sure she can dial the phone and call a friend for money but that has a shelf life, and she won't have the same ability to work hard like Marilou after her 100th cold call. I can't see her going without for a good cause, lest she break a finger nail or muss her hair. So what, Marilou was nervous to raise money for a charity near and dear and the stakes were high.

Marilou projects the kind of image communities celebrate for her volunteer work. Money can't buy that advantage. She genuinely cares to keep organized to win the game.

I cannot believe no one said as much.

Marilou is the last person I would have fired on the show, three cheers for Marilou I am going to miss you. You are the meaning of professionalism.

Piers did better this week however he did open the show stating he would never speak to Omarosa again. Now if Countries said to one another we aren't going to speak to you again, where would we be today, it is just not a sensible solution to any situation that --needs-- to make peace. Yes need comes before desire.

Now if Piers had opened the show stating he would never hire Omarosa that would have been an entirely different kettle of fish. And yet what does Piers have to work with Omarosa has not made one responsible allegation that could be considered professional in news media today. I still have no idea why she accosted Piers in such a manner on the first day of episode one.

She assumes I already know what Piers did to her that has made her so mad in the first place.

She lost me there,
