Episode Summary:
Donald Trump called it, “The biggest slaughter in the history of The Apprentice!” And numbers don’t lie. He was right.
The teams faced artistic challenge this week. They each had to pick one artist represented by the Moti Hasson Gallery in New York. The team that made the most money selling works by their artist would win - and they only had one evening to sell.
Omarosa, who got fired because of her performance in a similar project during her previous Apprentice season, claimed the job of project manager at Empresario. She said she had “something to prove.” At Hydra, Piers took the leadership post for a personal reason too - he wanted to destroy Omarosa.
Both teams met with the owner of the Moti Hasson Gallery to select their artists. Hydra picked artist Shirley Shor for a strategic business reason: she was the only artist whose works were available in limited editions. That meant that Hydra could sell multiple copies of her works and have a large inventory to sell, despite the limited wall space in the gallery. Meanwhile, Empresario decided to sell works on paper by David Kramer.
With their artists chosen, both teams started to call their high-profile friends, inviting them to buy artworks. Piers called the British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and other high-rollers, who agreed to come buy art.
As the teams set up their display rooms, Lennox realized that his team would be displaying their works in the back rooms of the gallery, behind Empresario’s display area. It was a big disadvantage. Before buyers could even see Hydra’s wares, they would have to pass through Empresario’s selling area.
As the buyers arrived at the gallery, Omarosa stood at the front door and shuttled people toward her team’s display. When Lennox saw what she was up to, he positioned himself next to her and directed traffic back to his team’s rooms.
A few of Stephen’s contacts showed up - but a lot more of Piers’ did too, and they bought heavily. Things were not going well for Empresario. One of Stephen’s contacts even blew right by him and bought something from Carol on the other team!
When it was time to tally the sales, everyone could sense that Hydra had outsold Empresario by a wide margin. Omarosa looked ashen. Empresario had, in fact, sold only three out of their available 16 paintings, earning only $7,000. In contrast, Hydra sold 14 out of their 20 works, earning a stunning $164,000.
Mr. Trump quickly dubbed the defeat, “The biggest slaughter in the history of the Apprentice.”
Piers gloated about his “personal” defeat of Omarosa. Rhapsodizing over his win, he suggested that Mr. Trump fire two people on the Empresario team because of their staggering defeat.
When the Hydra team left the boardroom, Omarosa immediately began to play the blame game, saying “I am only as good as my sales team.” But Ivanka and Mr. Trump were not buying it. In a last-ditch effort to save her neck, Omarosa then started to attack Piers, saying, “I know some things about him.” When Mr. Trump asked her what those “things” were, she made incredible statements that Piers was gay (“I think he’s in the closet”). As proof, she pointed out that Piers had asked both Trace and Stephen to take their shirts off in previous tasks this season. Mr. Trump then invited Piers back into the room to defend himself. Piers took him up on the offer by dashing into the room, kissing Trace on the cheek, then dashing out again. Piers’ ploy worked well and made Omarosa’s attack on his sexuality seem doubly absurd.
In the wake of the biggest rout ever on the show, Mr. Trump had hardly any choice. He fired Omarosa, the project manager.

This week’s episode taught important lessons about networking, selling - and more. Let’s take a closer look.
* * *
When Carol urged Hydra to pick the artist whose work they could sell in multiples, she showed terrific business wisdom.
Success Lesson
Never forget the law of supply and demand. You will always have a greater profit potential with a bigger inventory, period. Marketing counts - but you still need to have something to sell.
* * *
When Omarosa said that she “knew some things” about Piers, she wasengaging in classic character assassination by implying that she had some “dirt” that she did not wish to reveal. Then when Mr. Trump called her bluff, she fabricated absurd, un-businesslike accusations against Piers - and her political house of cards collapsed around her.
Success Lesson
Sooner or later, lying always gets exposed. When Mr. Trump is in control, it gets exposed even faster. If you don’t play fair, you will eventually get trapped by your own lies.
* * *
When Omarosa accused Piers of being gay, she stepped completely outside norms of acceptable business behavior.
Success Lesson
In business today, you cannot discriminate against people on the basis of their race, religion or sexual preference. Let’s get real here! But Piers was no shining knight this week either. He threatened to hit Stephen! Threatening violence against a colleague will get you fired from any job - maybe even locked up.
* * *
When Omarosa pulled Stephen away from making high-value networking calls and forced him to do Internet research instead, she was showing terrible management skills. (Or was she trying to set him up to be fired?) Stephen had many more moneyed contacts to call than Omarosa did - yet she took him away from an activity that could have generated sales for her team.
Success Lesson
Use your resources strategically if you are the leader. Know what your team members bring to the table and deploy their strengths strategically.

Stephen....where did thy go astray?
Did I previously say that I wanted an American to win? I lied. I'd like for the best person to win! Even as diabolical as he is, Piers has all of the bases covered. Even though he threatened Stephen, he wouldn't have resorted to physical violence, and Stephen knew that. In fact, Stephen wasn't even phased by it. Don't forget, he grew up with three older brothers. He's not a baby. He said that he and Piers were fine. (Even though they have a big showdown upcoming, next week). It was actually funny. If you haven't been threatened by a Brit, you haven't lived. A lot of times, people say things like, "I'll break every bone in your body," or, "I'll beat you, within an inch of your life," but, that doesn't mean that they would actually do it. Or, maybe they would. The more you laugh at that type of thing, the less likely it is that it will actually happen. It's when you take it literally, that people might actually follow through. But, the average person is pretty sensitive to that type of banter. If you say something like that in the workplace, nowadays, kidding or not... you're fired! and/or sued.
Piers does the dead pan thing so well that you don't know if he's serious or not. Well, I think I can tell. But, a fun thing to do with people like that, is react the same way that others do, and pretend that you don't know. British people, on the whole, love creative lying. I think it was Hugh Grant who said that he loves for women to lie to him...that the truth is too boring. Maybe he was kidding.
I'm also a big fan of Gordon Ramsay's. He's completely mental but exceptionally talented. Piers has gotten big points for being so chummy with Gordon and Richard Branson. And, his charity is at the top of my list. Yes, I hate him, but he is very entertaining and quick on his feet.
Loved the opening in the Trump penthouse... like walking into a fantasy world. I think that I might have been there once...in a dream. Mr. Trump's son is adorable! Let's hope that he carries his name, Barron, better than the Hilton's.
I also loved the task...the art challenge. Wow! Hydra was so brilliant about their whole strategy, and decimated Empresario, even though they were in the back room. Doesn't Omarosa know anything? The V.I.P. area is never up front. The best rooms are always those that are tucked away...away from the fray. More privacy.
I know... Omarosa is gone...why beat a dead horse! Why? Because it's fun! First of all, her behavior was that of a spoiled brat child...bossing people. Then, her way of trying to sell things...so desperate! "I really, really, really need it." Like she was trying to guilt that guy into buying something. Personally, if someone does that to me...I definitely won't buy, even if I had every intention of doing so. And, the outfit...not appropriate. She looked like a Times Square hooker. She should have chosen something a little more elegant, but, I guess she was just being herself... looking cheap. I'm more than happy to oblige with the character assassination of Omarosa... I'm anonymous, and I'm not part of the Celebrity Apprentice.
That was so stupid of Omarosa to bring up the fact that she knew things... everyone has skeletons...some just have bigger closets than others. I hear that Omarosa has a bigger closet than most. Who cares! Really! We've all come to terms with the fact that nobody is perfect, haven't we? It seems like everyone is coming clean with everything these days, and using it to their advantage. Those that try to keep all of their deep dark secrets are more likely to have heart attacks or cancer.
But, the fact that she was claiming that Piers was gay was so 1985! Please! Those who look down upon others for their sexual preferences, are trying to deflec
First, Melania is an outstanding beauty, you have to be truly focused on your work and not to be magnetise by her 24/7.
Second, wow, what a fight! How far down the rabbit hole one can go.....amazing, and all America watches You. This has nothing to do with business, but with ''celebrity mania''.

One word to describe Omarosa -Prude !
There is a difference between shrewd and being a prude.
Do not think that it was not a coincidence that the show pulled out the task that is Omarosa's Achilles Heel on a show close to the end where she had to step up as PM. Maybe that was why DT prompted her to let someone else be PM the previous show. If I had been O and had lost the task in the original Apprentice, I would have made it a mission in life to learn something about art. When you discover a major weakness, you need to remove it. Obviously she did not. The loss was due to a poor choice of artist. You can call your best friends, and have every one in the world come down- but if the art on your walls is something that you can't hang in your business or your living room- and the other guys is visually compelling- then all the salesmanship in the world will not help you. O's art was something that I thought would be good in someone's game room. If you can't afford $25K for the living room, you won't pay $15K for the game room. Then you have someone as beautiful as Carol Alt roaming around- and forget it- the other guy gets your art clients.
Still love Omarosa. She is beautiful, classy looking, gutsy, self-confident and does not let anyone push her around. Think that if she did not let herself get in these shows where she is set up to be humiliated, she would go much further in this world. Too bad she has taken this route.
Hope that the final two are among Trace, Carol and Lennox. Piers makes me sick because he is so petty and vindictive. He is only winning because of his calls- and he probably only gets those people to contribute because he is a gossip writer and one of those calls is almost like black mail- back me up or see yourself in an unhealthy light in print. Steven Baldwin doesn't step up to the plate and really let O down in the last task. Neither really does anything except make calls.
Looking forward to next week.
Thank you.
Now, my son started to watch Apprentice a few times last year however decided they all fought to much and went back to his guitar, until tonight. Of course it is no secret he is in the sandwich business, so I thank Ivanka for her taste tests, and comments as the show progressed my son was more and more captivated, not by the celebrities but about his business.
In a word he was surprised Lennox won, because no one knew who he was as Piers tried to sell him on the street. My son was more keen to see the cowboy selling beef and Trace kept my son's attention.
So hats off he watched the show to the end.
As for who is fired after the camera's quit rolling I have to say Carol is my first pick. Guilt washed over her face instantly, more so than the others. In particular what bothered me, she pointed out she was fortunate to have survived the other women competitors. Bad move, because by proxy of her stardom it was up to her to support the other women so that there were not four men standing and only one woman left. She should have had Marilou by her side tonight only then could she celebrate success.
