If you live in certain parts of the world $50 is a lot of money and can help grow a business. This year, as in the past, Trump University made a donation to Kiva.org to help entrepreneurs around the world trying to change their lives for the better.  As part of this donation I received a $50 gift certificate from my boss to donate to any Kiva entrepreneur I wanted to support.  In case you are not familiar with Kiva they are not about giving 'hand-outs'. A couple of weeks ago one of Seth Godin's blogs caught my eye.  He posted a holiday shopping guide and one recommendation was not to buy from big brands or big stores.  The reason he gives is that they don't care about you, or the things you care about and that there are alternatives to every 'big' category.  Toms Shoes is an alternative to the shoe category and they have an interesting mission.  Watch this video for more info.
