Well I always thought you were inspiring! The" Never give up!" was important for me to read today! We (my wife & I ) started a bussiness in june! Today I am regreting this descision! We probably should have done it in a bigger community, ours is 8,000, but we had planned on the smaller communitys on helping this venture flurish. Not working! Our bussiness is kids gently used clothing and new funiture(million dollar baby) and gently used misc. kids stuff. We just took out another line of credit! Might have been a mistake? But we are trying to make it work! Its hard to swollow sometimes when we hear that all the ones in bigger communitys are doing great! Any advise would be greatly welcomed!!! Would be glad to share more, but this hopefully kinda sums it up. And I am not much of a typer so tried to make it short and sweet as possible for now. THANKS STEVE

You don't need to use your credit cards to get used items to sell. Consignment shops are very popular especially in a sour economy. The timing is perfect for you to reach out to your community and provide quality items that are useful and costs less than high-priced boutiques. You can design your store to appeal to the emotions of your customers. A grandmother or aunt who wants to buy a gift for a newborn. Empty picture albums, or baby frames placed on glass tops or a rack of infants clothes is inspiring. Lights for a child's room with an energy efficient bulb in it gives warmth. The smell of the store is also very important. Music that is part of the atmosphere that makes them feel relaxed and welcome. Low cost prints for children hung on the walls. Colors that are appealing to the eyes can be carefully displayed throughout the store. This is an opportunity to express yourself in a creative way. Make it fun and affordable. People will want to return again and again.
