I have just recently completed the requirements to become a real estate agent. With that in mind I have a small knowledge base on industry but was wondering how often do clients want a buyers agent? Sometimes you have a listing and for some reason or another the client decides not to go through with that purchase. You can get them interested in being shown other options but you have to wait to be contacted by them initially. I'm interested in how myself as an agent can attract them to compliment my ability to get listings without alienating potential clients. Anyone able to help???????

I believe as a past buyer agent it is a great way to get started in real estate. It helps to avoid allot of the beginning costs of being in real estate. Once you begin a good list of clients and have a few sales under your wind, it then helos to start prospecting for listings. I heard a slogan a few years back and it was this " Listers are the leaders" I know several years later whole heartedly believe this. Go out and be the best and do not look back either a Buyers agent or Listing agent my best to you in your career choices.
